22,000 Immigrants who won visa lottery are stripped of citizenship after computer glitz

Congratulations, you're now an American... er, sorry, we made a mistake

Roughly 22,000 would-be immigrants to the U.S. have had their hopes shattered.

That's because a computer glitch corrupted the State Department's annual worldwide lottery for 50,000 U.S. immigrant visas and the results will be scratched, the Obama administration revealed today.

It's a devastating blow to 22,000 would-be immigrants who were notified this year that they had won a chance to come and live legally in the United States.

Obama is such a stupid jerk

he should be deported and traded for one of those good people who wanted to become a citizen

the laws change every year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever since 9/11 the laws change and the paperwork gets harsher for people who want to become citizens legally. Infact its so bad that every year they have to register with thousands of dollars and apply over and over, and just to stay legally they are run through a really big scam. The system is very hateful, and it is very corrupt and it steals money from honest people trying to become citizens legally.

Federal Judge Dismisses Visa Lottery Lawsuit

Federal judge Amy Berman Jackson dismissed a class action lawsuit filed by foreign nationals who were denied green cards because of a computer glitch during this year's visa lottery selection. The plantiffs were first notified by the State Department that they had won permanent residency in the United States due to the random lottery drawing, but the State Department realized that a computer glitch causes most of the winners to be picked from only a small sample of applicants.

The foreign nationals were seeking recognition of the original lottery results.

that has to suck in a big way. I couldn't imagine being told I could leave my country and go to America, just to be told...just kidding! I know we fight hard and we are very judgmental of our nation and our government, which we should be if we want to keep it, but we also have to admit that most don't have it so well.

But that isn't any excuse to let up on the regime who is trying to strip what we have. We should have stepped it up 70 years ago.

no mercy...

it's a bloody cruel world my friend.
