YouTube and Digg have severely been changed since 2008

Just a reminder to you guys. Back in 2007 when we began Ron Pauls first campaigning and viral ads on youtube it was less micromanaged. Youtube had never been used for political platforming and had never experienced the amount of viral videos of a political candidate until Ron Paul.Youtube then grafted CNN "debates" into their website and from then on youtube became a tool of political power for the elite. YOUTUBE against its users removed the 5 star rating option and the front page which use to show the highest rated videos. Youtubes purpose was destroyed and washed down into the abyss of being another tentacle for the lying corporations and politicians. DIGG.com in a similar fashion decided to change their rating system and categorized everything rather than letting the most digged info get placed at top. Digg became a tentacle of the corporations and politicians somewhat and still degresses.

Youtube was a powerful tool in Ron Pauls campaigning..how do we intend to replace such a tool that was used in the 2007-08 elections ?

Subtle ways of fixing the system.

I noticed a major shift in Digg right after BO gave his JFK speech last election. I've also read that Google and CNN were infiltrated with CIA. I can't say one way or another but if I wanted to control a company, that would be a good way to do it, that or blackmail. Technically you could duplicate those functions independently, kind of like Shadowstats.com did.

*********** Scratch that. There are a lot of RP supporters still left on U-tube so we need to have them put this link in there comment section of the video.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=videos&search_que... This is based on most recent, although it could be most popular. Very interesting that the category of politics, was conveniently left out of their categories though.

I just found this video using this method http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWysuAui6Yo

I know it is not the same but it is another avenue for users to explore RP and it could catch on, and circumvent what U-tube (or Gaagle) did.

Just a couple ideas, but you did ask.

We already own the Internet..

We need to get out in the field and do door to door work.

The Internet can be an awesome tool to help organize the door to door efforts.

We should also focus on the paper and televised media, radio, call centers..

There are more than enough people on the Internet to defend Ron Paul against disinformation, we need to focus on the "real world".

My 2 cents.

I try to change people every day. Do You?

I have been suggesting this for years.

Why not set up our own "Ron Paul YouTube"? If we had a single location to collect Ron Paul videos for download in a format other than Real Player, we could create or view videos a lot easier.

If you decide to go for it,

If you decide to go for it, here is a good resource for Ron Paul videos..

Yep it's my channel and NO, I do not take any credit for any of the videos that have been uploaded by hundreds of Ron Paul supporters.

I am posting the link because it will help anyone who decides to put your plan in practice.

Joη's picture

It's not like YT in 07 was losing a million dollars a day...wait

it was? Oh.

Not everything's for nefarious purposes. Even DP got rid of the fivestar system because thumbs up/down is simpler.

I never involved myself in Digg.

"You underestimate the character of man." | "So be off now, and set about it." | Up for a game?

It wasnt just because of Ron..

Im positive the reasons for the changes was more because of abuse than someone out to get Ron.

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

wrong

it was political control.

yup.

Right next to the little grey men in black helicopters. You are supposed to wear the tin foil hat.. not chew on it.
