Pointless Poll! All that can

Pointless Poll! All that can be gathered is that Paul has core support moreso than any other candidate (name recognition aside)

The CNN reporter begs to differ with you.

No less than 6 paragraphs were devoted to Dr Ron Paul... mentioned many times. The CNN reporter earnestly reported as much as could fly uncensored.

Mr R got one honorable mention in one of the many Ron Paul paragraphs.

The gaggle of "Dropout-Candidate Has-Beens" all got grouped together & once again got dropped into one of the trailing paragraphs.

If your comment implies, "Much to do about nothing," most certainly; just counting intended votes, "Undecided" has a commanding lead, 87%!

Farce! Slow news day. Ron Paul Won!

CNN Farce. How is it that Ron Paul won?

This CNN farce was a silly telephone chat count. Here is my summary of what was good about it.

Ron Paul mentioned in 6 paragraphs. All are favorable or neutral context. 6 to 1 = Paul Wins!

87% of the 784 poll phone calls were undecided. Poll telephone calls:

  • 347... vote in the Republican presidential primary
  • 289 ... vote in the Democratic presidential primary
  • [Meaning the Republican poll numbers tabulated 289 phone calls. Hardly news.]

Ron Paul has can excellent opportunity to this primary, especially we the count is fair.

Mr R showed very little ("also-ran" in one paragraph). Mr R & all the gaggle dropout candidates got one mention each.

Quotes from New Hampshire CNN poll:
'Texas Rep. Ron Paul is performing well in the latest CNN poll of potential Republican primary voters.

Mr. Paul, who declared his candidacy for president last week, took second in a CNN/WMUR poll released by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, which shows former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney favored by 32 percent [a rather doubtful result; no mention of 87% undecided] of likely Republican primary voters.

Mr. Paul took second with 9 percent support.

The CNN poll is the second poll in as many weeks to find support for a Paul candidacy. An earlier CNN poll showed Mr. Paul leading amongst Republican voters. ...

The Texas Republican, who ran successfully for president in 2008, continues to gain in name recognition. The Texas Republican has already traveled to a number of key primary states, including Nevada and New Hampshire, meeting with potential supporters and fundraisers.

Mr. Paul’s candidacy likely benefited throughout the week as a number of potential Republican presidential candidates announced they would not seek the 2012 nomination. ...

This "New Hampshire CNN poll" article makes no reference to kicking or butts. Your title is "False Advertising" for a lost cause.'

Romney33%, Paul 9%....that was a Romney blow out

Good to see Paul in the second slot, but come on, this was not Paul's best poll.

87% undecided. Repeating nonsense improves what?

Please read my comment posted moments after yours. Please reconsider the value of repeating nonsense.

This CNN Poll was a farce. I is slicing & dicing 874 phone call chats. Let us make the bast out of what little information is presented & move on to important matters.

Yes, much of what I write could be attributed to nonsense. I try hard to make sense of things that don't.... Make sense, that is.

Please take this message to you in the kindest spirit in which it was crafted.

[I will also ponder that I just wrote... as it may be interpreted variously.]

Please enjoy support Ron Paul's campaign. We have much to gain supporting Ron Paul's progress. I wish there to be more focus on what Ron Paul does for us. Less on rediculous CNN pretend news about 87% undecided.

Regards,

Mitt Romney?

Mitt Romney doesn't stand a chance against Obama. He will put taxpayers further in debt with the wars.
Ron Paul is real only candidate, repeat this over and over again to all people, friends and family.
grant

Well, it is pretty sick to

Well, it is pretty sick to me. 73% of Democrats will vote for Obama again. What are they thinking? SOO many for Romney..WHAT ARE THEY THINKING????

spouse and I registered in our current state of . . .

residence as Republicans several decades ago when we were very politically active.

We left; lived elsewhere for a number of years and returned 'home'--

Now, today, probably because we are still on the registers as Republicans (which is a joke, because we disavow both parties now)--

we got in the mail a letter from Romney--

how can this man afford to solicit to individual addresses?

That is a terrific expense!

We looked at it, got angry and threw it away--

Should have sent it back with a "Vote for Ron Paul" written across it--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

vote for Ron Paul

Every single piece of political mail I get I put a your tube Ron Paul sticker on it or put a Ron Paul flyer in it and send it back almost all have a postage paid envelope. I even sent some buttons to a senator once. the box weighed 40 pounds. They ask for a donation I am delighted to give they one in the form of information. Ron Paul 2012

Tax deductible.

The box of buttons was a wonderful gift... Gave them cause to wonder.

Romney...

is a BILLIONAIRE that owns Clear Channel Communications the largest radio network in the US (Rush Limbaugh). Also, Romney made his initial fortune as an investment banker and is still involved in that too (Bain Capital).

He can afford it...

This is the one of the best jokes I have heard in the New Year !!!

Most "believable"

When we are trying to be respecful ti them, we voters don't call the GOP the "Stupid Party" for nothing!

You can, however, fool ALL of the people SOME of the time, you can fool SOME of the people ALL of the time, but you CAN'T fool ALL of the people ALL of the time!

Then let us see who is the "front runner".

I probably wouldn't call Ron

I probably wouldn't call Ron Paul a "front runner" at 9%...but respectable numbers nonetheless.

Amazing how low everyone else's numbers are, especially Palin at just 5%.

You don't think 2nd place is

You don't think 2nd place is a front runner?

Not when the other guy is at 30%

Ron Paul needs to begin canvassing the entire State of New Hampshire. He needs to have multiple campaign offices setup (not just one), and official Precinct Captains put in place to coordinate different regions of the State.

He needs to have a staff that is keeping scope throughout the canvassing activity, and knows where the numbers are and where to redouble his efforts.

My biggest concern is not whether Ron Paul can win, but whether he or Jesse Benton, etc. have the expetise to actually run a Statewide Campaign successfully. Winning races in one specific district in Texas is a much simpler problem to solve than trying to win a Statewide Primary.

This won't happen from making a few speeches, and a few visits to a farmhouse or school. Ron Paul will need to put together an organization to canvass the State from top to bottom and track the progress, repeat specific areas, etc. and work until these poll numbers are flipped the other way.

There is still time here, but activity needs to start happening very soon. I followed and participated in the 2003 Howard Dean grassroots movement and his rise from obscurity to "frontrunner" came about by a well-organized canvassing operation that educated voters about who he was, and was coordinated with the YouTube and Meetup.com activities and Campaign staff.

Dean nearly pulled it off (a bad Debate appearance and some poor Campaign Ads blunted his last-minute momentum, and John Kerry had a better final push).

There is a lot of work to do here, and we are way behind where we need to be.

Did you not see that 87% of

Did you not see that 87% of the people polled are not sure who they are going to actaully vote for? This is huge because the 10% for Paul will remain to which Romneys 30% will very likely dwindle.

Considering NH is right next door to Romney's home state

I think this is good for Ron Paul. I think Ron can win Iowa and if he comes in second in NH, we will be sitting good. I do not think Romney can win SC or Nevada; therefore, Ron will have some good momentum by that point. Most of the other Repub candidates will be out of money by Nevada and gone from the race. I believe Herman Cain will have money issues.

Unfortunately no, not when

Unfortunately no, not when Ron is almost 4x behind Romney. However, I'm happy it has seemed Ron has established himself early as a solid 10% polling candidate, and these numbers will only go higher.

wait

I found this very interesting part in that poll:

May 2011
Definitely decided 4%
Leaning toward someone 9%
No idea who you'll vote for 87%

Says alot doesn't it?

Says alot doesn't it?

The "No idea who you'll vote

The "No idea who you'll vote for 87%" are waiting for the controlled media to tell them who to vote for.

Waiting To Be Told? or Educated?

Just maybe, hopefully, one of their kids, grand kids, neighbors, associates, will talk to them about Ron Paul. That's our job guys, are you with me?

my jaw dropped

& almost spilled my coffee.
