Mitt Romney's $10.25 Million Dollar Day?

by Thomas Johnson
Tuesday, May 24, 2011

The Romney campaign reportedly raised $10.25 million on Monday, May 16, 2011. Looking at the governor's presidential exploratory website and Facebook page has yielded little specifics about the money raised. If this $10.25 million raised was cold hard cash during the 24-hour period of May 16, Governor Romney most likely has broken the one-day presidential campaign donation record set by Congressman Ron Paul during the 2008 election season which was a bit over $6 million in 24 hours.

More specifics on the donations do not seem to be available at this time. One must wonder as to the size of the donor base and if the donations were just pledged or the donors actually have parted with their cash. Ultimately, this is all good news for Governor Romney, as long as the money was actually raised and not empty pledges, as no other contender has raised even a fraction of the sort of money that the governor has claimed to raise. The only other candidate that has had any significant fundraisers to date is Congressman Ron Paul. Congressman Paul raised (Money Bombed) over $1 million dollars on Thursday, May 5, 2011 to coincide with the first Republican debate in South Carolina.

Doesn't Count.

His "contributions" were contributed by himself (he's a multi-millionaire many times over) & his neo-con cronies. Ron Paul's contributions were undoubtedly 100% from hard-working, multi-class Americans who scraped to give what they could to his campaign.

Not even close to the same. Romney's a chump.

This, the Second $ Bomb for Ron Paul?

A couple months ago didn't people send about $750,000? Wouldn't the one in this article be the second money bomb this year?

The second one considered

The second one considered major because it was in the millions is the point. And the first one wasn't for his presidential exploratory committee...I don't think.

It was for Ron's traveling

It was for Ron's traveling expenses to Iowa and NH and that big tour he did..guess used some to set up that office in Iowa, too..but it was initially for his travel stuff--renting a plane and all..
