DOJ/TSA threatening Texas Senate; Calling all Texans!

The Texas House recently unanimously passed HB 1937 to prevent unlawful groping of air travelers in Texas. Senate support was said to be near unanimous, until a letter sent by the Department of Justice insinuated it would shut down air travel in Texas if the bill was passed.

From the letter, "If HR [sic] 1937 were enacted, the federal government would likely seek an emergency stay of the statute. Unless or until such a stay were granted, TSA would likely be required to cancel any flight or series of flights for which it could not ensure the safety of passengers and crew."

Senator Dan Patrick pulled the bill after this letter was circulated in the Senate. Alex Jones on his radio show has been calling on Texans, especially Austinites, to call or go visit your senators to convince them to go ahead with the bill. I've called my senator, Jane Nelson and the sponsor Senator Patrick to ensure their support for pushing forward. Please call him, the leaders, and other Senators, or go down to the capitol if you can.

If we can stop this here, it will be much easier to stop it elsewhere. I know we have a number of Austinites around here. It's not over, we have most of the day to fix this. Let's stop this now!

Well I suppose

if the DOJ won't allow air travel in Texas, then people had better make sure that everyone knows that the DOJ is responsible for it.

Bump. If anyone might prevail it's the Texans
