The GOP establishment in Page County is now... ME!
Submitted by spacehabitats on Wed, 05/25/2011 - 15:28So my wife and I went to our central committee meeting last night. She nominated me for county chairman and I won. As far as I know there aren't any other "Ron Paul Republicans" on the central committee (and I've made no secret about my political beliefs), but I had no problem getting elected.
Frankly, I think most of the committee members were glad someone else wanted to take the responsibility.
I hope more people (especially here in Iowa) will take the plunge. Contact your county chairman and find out if you have a precinct chairman. If not, volunteer! Or just ask when the next county meeting is and see if they need volunteers for a fair booth or whatever.
Sometimes 90% of politics is just being there.
