Very Important Poll *Please Keep Current*
Submitted by rftbunny on Sat, 12/22/2007 - 20:37
This is a very important poll and ron has been losing ground all day he went from 34% to 26%
please keep this poll at the top as it is very important and a crucial publicity poll

If those results reflect the actual caucus numbers
i will be happy to take second in Iowa, and 1st most everywhere else
I see Dr. Paul is
back on top except for Iowa... Hmmmm
I have a feeling that
some people in other camps may be deleting their cookies so they can vote again and again. We the Ron Paul Supporters have been trying to stay fair about this poll - and haven't been doing that - but I'm sure that since it is pretty common knowledge - other camps have been.
Also, AOL is owned by the same MSM that has been blacking out Dr. Paul. Thats why this doesnt surprise me.
Make the entire USA dark green...
before the Iowa Caucus. Just for good luck. ;-)

Iowa
Lets take Iowa back from the Huckster.
Go get them!
I've voted many many times. It's a meaningless poll so why not. If they catch us voting several times so did all the others. They didn't do a good job preventing this. Or it was intentional. Who cares.

Careful
They may be using cookies so they can catch Paul supporters cheating. What a story that would be.

something strange
RP was doing very well until yesterday. Now it seems thousands have voted for others. Sure. Makes no sense. I guess AOL can't have Paul win every state. Makes their poll worthless.

Cheat repeat votes? This is def tempting but since this is a public forum...
Go for it!!! No shame here!
We have already made it clear this is only a silly game. We pledge to win this game!
Disclaimer: we all know this aol poll is a total fake so we're only going to have fun at their expense! Well, and keep RP where he will be in 1 day!!! :)

You can vote multiple times on these aol poll. It's a fake!
Here's how:
1. Delete all your cookies (tools -> internet options -> general tab, delete cookies, blabla...)
2. Reload the aol url and vote again
Repeat steps 1 and 2 one million times :)

Huck Surge is Not Real
I've been watching this poll faithfully almost every day. Just in the past couple of days Huckabee went from one state (Arkansas) to 7 states -- Ron Paul previously had ALL of these states except for that one!
Note that Huck is now "showing up" for Iowa instead of RP. Yeh, right.
Warning: B.S. Alert Meter Clipping in the Red.
I was following it religiously until someone here told me
it was a fake and how to vote many times.
Now it is just a silly game but I think we shouldn't let the other side win this little game. Just vote and vote whenever you feel like it.
:)

Tell the whole world?
I was hoping this kind of "tip" would'nt be posted. To me, the poll is ruined. Basicly, this is probably knowledge by the "other" candidate supporters too and now it's just a game to load up the votes. I think we should'nt go there, just let the "others" load it up, fatten their egos and then fall on their faces when their state fails miserably and the good Dr. Paul wins :-) Go vote though if you wish, but it's hardly scientific and probably not accurate. The use of tracking cookies was a stupid idea.

Hopefully, the Huckabee surge...
is not indicative of reality on the ground. This AOL Straw Poll used to look so good for RP.

Ground To Make Up
If you haven't voted in this poll, you need to so. The opposition has staged a bit of a rally recently.
The South & Northeast are slipping away...
If you haven't aleady done so, vote for Ron Paul.

Keep America dark green...
This straw poll goes until Jan. 4th.
Despite what you think, this poll can be a useful tool in convincing those voters who are sympathetic to RP's message, but don't think he has a chance to win, that he does, indeed, have a chance to win.
So, vote, vote, vote in this straw poll.

tied...
Paul and Rudy are tied in FL, but Paul's color is shown. I'm betting the actual # of votes determine who's winning, but the pecentages are rounded off. You may have the same percentage but more votes.
I realize these polls are pretty meaningless, THOUGH they may counteract the phone polls-- which gives the public the illusion that RP is really low. These may convince people, rightfully, that RP is a contender and therefore they may consider him, investigate, and become a supporter. We need every supporter we can get.

Bogus thread title -- not "important" at all
Why is this "very important?" Because you're bored? Overly competitive?
These online polls are as close to meaningless as you can get. If you really want to help, write a thoughtful letter to the editor. Go to your local meetup. Canvass.
You get the picture.
Those of you who are constantly crying wolf over online polls aren't helping. And those of you who "bump" threads like this are an even sadder bunch.

who said i was crying wolf
who said i was crying wolf sir and who said i never went canvassing or do anything for dr. paul ...
the poll is just as important .. it's a scientific poll running from now until the caucuses ...
why don't you stop posturing proudly to make yourself feel good...if you went out and canvassed that's wonderful and a great deed for your country campaigning ... now shut up with the negativity and continue doing your good deeds
i bought hundreds of stickers and slim jims and spent a lot of time campaigning for dr. ron ...
don't put your deeds on a scale .. no one likes that around here
"Sadder."
Your insults to those people that like those polls are most helpful. Thanks for being a part of the community here at DP.
Twisting things around
Memphis, your clever sarcasm aside, I agree with you in large part.
Hey, if you "like" meaningless polls, that's fine. We all have hobbies that aren't very productive.
But let's be clear: I'm not trying to insult people for "liking" participating in online polls. I'm critiquing the subset of Paulunteers who think that sort of thing is real activism. Heck, one of my local meetups is run by novices who send out alerts (even to those who've unsubscribed to the mailing list because they don't want to receive idle chatter over email) about stupid polls. The fraudulent "horserace" poll which constantly deleted Ron Paul's vote totals, insulted him and his supporters, and stamped "ass" on his photo (I won't put its URL here because they don't deserve more attention) was one poll they spammed meetup members about -- many months after most of us knew that poll was a farce.
So let's be realistic: if you like killing a little time by voting in these polls, that's fine. I don't even necessarily have a problem with discussing such things in the forums here (or on other Paul sites). My criticism was based on the notion that, suggested in this thread's title (and elsewhere), and perpetuated by empty "bumps," that this sort of thing is "important" -- or "very important."

I Disagree
Most people are pretty weak minded and need to know other people share their opinion or that it's "safe" to have an opinion. Polls like this are all contributors to an eventual tipping point. A lot of people won't support Paul because the traditional phone polls say he doesn't have a chance, but the more they see results like these the more willing they will be to join the cause. And I agree the very best way is to get face to face with people, but as they say there's more than one way to skin a cat.

I do agree that these polls
I do agree that these polls are a waste of time for the most part, but I also understand how it can be fun to see Paul's domination in every single one. Hell, I participate in many of the polls, but fewer and fewer as it has become clear to everyone that he dominates the online community.
And we have people in our local meetup that constantly post the latest online polls, so I understand where you're coming from. I just thought you came off as pretty harsh. My sarcasm may have come off just as harsh, but I hope not.
Huckabee Only Ahead In Arkansas
I just noticed something. If you look only at the color of the state, you would think Huckabee is also winning in NC, SC & KY. When you click on one of those states you will see that Huckabee and Ron Paul are tied - 24% In NC, 23% in SC and 24% in KY.
Yet, AOL has decided Huckabee is the winner in those 3 states.
