Ron Paul PowerPoint Wins Hearts at Republican Club

I am posting this here on the Daily Paul per the express request of an individual within the Iowa Ron Paul campaign.

The two youtube links below take you to a presentation given to a large Republican club in the greater Cleveland area. The purpose of the presentation was to 'present' Ron Paul for the club's consideration to support in the 2012 Republican primary. The response received was amazing.

I think what we need to do is

I think what we need to do is duplicate this powerpoint or even work on one as a group and have a 'Get to Know Ron Paul' day at every town in America on the same day. We could start this even in Iowa as a test run 2-3 weeks before the straw poll in every town in Iowa. If each meetup group in Iowa rents a small public space and publicizes the thing like crazy with social media, it would be a good test run.

Follow that up with 'Get to Know Ron Paul' days in every state on key dates. The internet is one information tool, but nothing works like word of mouth and convincing people face to face. If the voters of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina especially see people in every town with enough passion to organize an event like this, his candidacy will go viral and be unstoppable. I think organizers should plan free food, 'Get to Know Ron Paul' powerpoint presentation, Q&A followed by an optional showing of 'For Liberty'.

What do y'all say?

Great Idea

I think it is a great idea that we polish the presentation and make it ready for mass distribution. I myself would be very interested in being able to hand out DVD discs with a quality presentation. (I have a captive audience of about 300 people here in the Toronto area).
Perhaps the power point could be made to auto-run, or run at the click of a mouse.

You did a fantastic job! That clip at the end was perfect too, I didn't realize how powerful and on point that was.

Re: umms and uhhs

Thanks for calling my attention to this problem. I especially appreciate you guys mentioning it as constructive criticism rather than tearing me down for it. I have noticed it myself but did not realize how distracting it was.

I will do some work to address the problem because I hope to keep spreading the message in the future.

You're not alone...

seen clips of myself and I do it as well.

Being aware of it is the first step to getting better.

Nicely done, please continue to spread the news!

As I mentioned earlier, you

As I mentioned earlier, you give a very good presentation.if you want to develop that skill, visit a local toastmasters group and see if you like the way they run their meeting.

I think I will do that.

Illegal Immigration, Foreign Aid

Matt, thanks for your video of your presentation. I've not viewed all of it but I have watched four-fifth's of the first one. It's informative, pithy and clear. I've got a couple recommendations to fine tune your presentation. Perhaps they'll tickle you.

First recommendation: Illegal Immigration

In 2007 I learned about RP -- and, because of him, the world. Since then, no, right then, my perspective on illegal immigration changed. That is to say, it broadened. I'll tell you what I mean by broadened soon. Before I do that, however, giving you my basis, my foundation, of that perspective will help you understand why it changed. My basis, my foundation: what came before I learned about RP.

When I was a kid, from my recall about 10 or so, I would hear about war, battle and strife, even hatred. I heard it from the television and radio and in newspapers. I'd read about American wars in school, the Civil War one of them. Reading about war and hearing about it from the media were uncommon for a 10-year-old, of course. But I heard about them enough and saw and heard the news enough, not because tuning into the news was a hobby of mine but because my parents had on the radio or television.

In time I began to pose questions to myself and then to people. Those questions stemmed from my observations, from connections I'd make, such as: Why are there wars and hatred among "these" people there -- when "these" people and other people in the United States are friendly to each other?

I'd see these kinds of people when I was out and about with my parents. I'd see these people at school or at day care. I'd see them on television in shows and commercials. These people were adults and kids, some of the kids being my friends. All over the place I'd see people of different complexions, facial features and clothes. Those things were secondary to me, though. I judged -- measured -- them on how they acted -- to me and to people involved in whatever I and that person were involved in. Mostly my judging them was subconscious, where my decisions would be made on the fly, adaption, if you will.

Broadened Perspective: Still asking myself those questions, let's fast forward to 2007. Suddenly I learned about the Federal Reserve system, this country's central bank, a private bank unaccountable to this country's citizens, thereby making it owner of them, of us, and all other things that touch dollars, which would be the rest of the world. The economy, a catchy word that is a collective word, obviously is based on a medium of exhange, a currency. That currency, that medium of exchange, is something that has been installed worldwide. The installation occured in the past 100 years or so. Most every people at least are aware of the dollar. Because further explanation would lead to detailed discussion, I'll say this much more on immigration, legal and illegal: Does a person want to be with people similar or disimilar to him?

Second recommendation: Foreign Aid

Be clear on, even repeat, what Ron has said: no government intervention. The individual? Ron's answer: Dear Individual, do what you want. If the economy is decentralized, the individual can be in no other position than what he is, the position individual, the position in life that is above all others because that, (voluntary) individualism is life. (Individual:Life::Life:Individual) He can send money, clothes or appliances to whomever he wants wherever that person is. This effect should bring joy to people who support their fellow man wherever he is, whether in the land whose name is This or That. All the more joy for the person who support a people, as opposed to an individual. So, for the people whose minds are collective for whatever reason, they should do all they can to decentralize an economy so that they, the people who want to give collectively, can keep what they work for to send the fruit of their labor to whomever. Individually, therefore collectively, mankind wins.

Perhaps the subject line of my reply should be: Immigration-Foreign Aid. The hyphen shows there is connection, relationship, between the two functions; the word omittance of the word illegal would favor the mind, enabling it to focus on the migration -- the movement of people.

As President Paul said to Chris Mathews of Hard Ball on MSNBC recently, it's all one package. Yes, domestic and foreign affairs, and any other government affair, involve each other. Observe the affairs, the issues. Is there a middle man? If so, continue to observe it, their bridge to each other, the median -- the median of exchange. Better, look to the producer of the median. There, the Great Facilitator will be found. There, will be The Fed.

End the Fed and any other central planning institution.

You're Welcome

Hi, Matt *waves*

You're welcome. If you have questions about what I wrote, ask me. I re-read what I wrote and I found I used poor grammar and imporoper repetition, causes for confusion. Sorry if I confused you or anyone else. Again, get to me if you have questions. I'd be happy to clarify what I said or extend on what I said. Happy Memorial Day, Matt and whoever else!

South Florida event Thursday

Yes! We have to get out there with real flesh-and-blood primary voters. Here's an event Thursday near West Palm Beach, FL.

Is There Any way to get

Is there any way to get an original copy of this power point presentation? (not the video)

I found it

I found it.

Thank you

got it

The presentation was simple, straight-forward, offered answers to the primary criticisms that seemingly put the crowd at ease, and allowed them to enjoy feeling good about the message. AWESOME job, and a win for Dr. Paul!!!

"Truth is treason in the Empire of lies." - Ron Paul, MD

The powerpoint is very good

The powerpoint is very good but, I would not quote what religious denomination he is, Just say Christian, I say this because of the way people think, many think their group is better than another group, much like groups in the revolution. ie; southern baptists think they are better then regular baptists, the catholics believe they are the correct religion and so on, I hope you get my point without causing an argument.

Don't turn people off by stating a particular type of religion just say christian that is good enough.

American Christians are not like Sunnis and Shiites. In fact if you are so wishy-washy that you merely say "Christian" the suspicion is that you are doing it for the politics. I'd prefer to hear the name of the actual church you go to than some vague reference to having Christian values

I second roversaurus' dissent.

Excellent presentation!!!

Well prepared and well executed! Loved the fact that at the end when it was "supposed to be" Q&A it actually turned into more of a "testimonial" section...lol.

Power Point Presentation Should Be Incorporated Into Every

American Community and Meetup Group.

I suggest this goes VIRAL..

Invite your neighbors friends and relatives to a home power point presentation.

If this doesn't convince them to vote for Ron Paul, nothing will..

Great presentation. For

Great presentation. For anyone else going to give this presentation, don't forget about dropping the Reagan name every time you can.

Drop Reagan bombs every time you can.

Fantastic presentation!!!

You were well prepared and did a great job fielding the questions afterward. I am downloading the powerpoint now!

Film the speaker. Add charts in their full glory & resolution.

Good presentation of excellent material. Here are a few suggestions to improve your final presentation delivery: live & subsequent film.

Filming the speaker would be better closer. Crop distractions such as the window with cars passing by. Eliminate extraneous "uh"...

Use one camera for the speaker. Keep it in position to film the speaker highlights.

Use another camera & mic for the questioners.

After the presentation, put the speaker, questioners & charts together showing the best vantage of each.

Your presentation was in line with Dr Ron Paul's powerful message. Make yours just as powerful too! Thanks.

Excellent presentation

I'm sending this to my friends.

Everything that was presented only further cements my conviction that Ron Paul IS my president!

Now I'm wondering

about the individual requesting it from the Iowa RP Campaign, and if I'm going to see it somewhere soon... I'll be sure to try to initiate some of the clapping if nobody else does. :) Those were some good questions/comments at the end too! I especially enjoyed the positive comments, like the one from the dad going with his son to college. So many positive developments and more positive reception in so many places! (first Nevada, now Ohio) I sometimes wish that Iowa weren't first... but I guess it just means I need to work harder. :) Thanks for the model, great!

Minor point on pronunciation

The word "marque" is pronounced like "mark", not "marquee". :)

thanks :)

thanks :)

Matt Brakey

It is extremely good. Now,

It is extremely good. Now, let me make two comments. One, when you say Ron refused medicare, etc, let people know he refused the money because it came from OTHER taxpayers, who are required to fund the pensions, health, etc. Two, if you count how many times you said "uh" while presenting this, you may be appalled. PLEASE (I know Ron does it to distraction) eliminate the word from your presentations! It is so distracting, sounds truly amateurish and casts a pall on your speech. I can not get Ron to stop, maybe I can get you to. Be aware, and get rid of it.
Otherwise, WELL DONE!
