Any stories yet from friends/family re: Dr Paul on MeetThePress?

I made my mom wake up early to watch it with me. She kept interjecting her comments when she disagreed, often in mid-sentence with Dr. Paul and I made her go upstairs to watch it. I explained that I would debate AFTER the show, but if she's going to interrupt I don't want to hear it because I was trying to listen to the program. She has been swayed to the neocon camp in recent years and has really bought into the idea that all of the middle easterners are "sick" and there's nothing to do but be over there. She also mentioned the word "isolationist" but I refuted that and explained why he's not an isolationist. She said she agreed with a lot of the thing she had to say though, like immigration, and cutting spending.

My mom's special though, doesn't research her facts, listens to what's on the surface without much critical thinking...But she said she would vote for Paul if he was on the ticket which is good, I'm just not confident I created an activist with that viewing.

Eastern Iowa had a major snow storm last night and everyone is in watching tv. For anyone wanting to know more about RP, today was perfect. My parents are commited especially afer watching Glen Beck last week and ready to start putting up signs with me. This interview however really made you think about I had to clarify some things. However, they are still committed and are excited to watch him do well. I just don't think anyone else out there is that inspiring. I wish this show was the Glen Beck interview. He nailed that one and the questions spoke to RP and his message. However, who really has a good Tim Russert interview? I'm going to ignore it and not think too much into those questions. Why are we talking about the Civil War and who cares if Ronald Reagan is on his brochure? He still has way more substance!

We had 3 people over and another 2 watching to learn about the good Dr.
Impressions were mixed. Not having numbers on troops or dollars left folks here feeling the Dr was not prepared or has not thought his position through completely. We of course know differently but....
The comment on drug dealers coming here and having kids who become citizens, again I knew what he meant but this was interpreted as he believes all Mexicans are drug dealers. I think this will prolong the racist commentary when the pundits break down the tape. The speech on fascism went over extremely well. Even the Hillary/Obama folk in my crowd were with him. Finally the discussion about ear marks was goIden opportunity in my humble opinion was missed. There was substance in the comment but he thinks much faster then he speaks and did not finish a couple sentences which left people thinking he was confused or dodging. One again I have read his papers and listened to dozens of speeches but I had to clarify the position. My crowd left saying he is small government but no one understood how Dr. Pauls positions could transition and maybe he is to academic to communicate. Sigh....

Another neighbor called me this morning to let me know the show was on because she knew that church was canceled up here in Maquoketa.

This was awesome in and of itself. I believe they were seriously considering Hillary. They both attended my meetup last week to hear about Ron Paul.
So I called her back after the show and thanked her for the heads up call. She thought Tim was rough on Ron. I said that was good, tough question are a good thing, and thought Ron handled himself very well and she said emphatically "Yes he did". I also shared with her that I thought this was the last chance the establishment had to put a chink in his armor and I said I dont think they were able to do it. She again emphatically agreed.

So... long story I know. I think Jackson County IA may possibly have another 1 or 2 Ron Paul supporters come caucus night. I am excited to see how things are shaping up here in Jackson County.
