China Wants To Construct A 50 Square Mile Self-Sustaining City South Of Boise Idaho

http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/china-wants-to-con...

Thanks to the trillions of dollars that the Chinese have made flooding our shores with cheap products, China is now in a position of tremendous economic power. So what is China going to do with all of that money? One thing that they have decided to do is to buy up pieces of the United States and set up "special economic zones" inside our country from which they can continue to extend their economic domination. One of these "special economic zones" would be just south of Boise, Idaho and the Idaho government is eager to give it to them. China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach for short) plans to construct a "technology zone" south of Boise Airport which would ultimately be up to 50 square miles in size. The Chinese Communist Party is the majority owner of Sinomach, so the 10,000 to 30,000 acre "self-sustaining city" that is being planned would essentially belong to the Chinese government. The planned "self-sustaining city" in Idaho would include manufacturing facilities, warehouses, retail centers and large numbers of homes for Chinese workers. Basically it would be a slice of communist China dropped right into the middle of the United States.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the idea would be to build a self-contained city with all services included. It would be modeled after the "special economic zones" that currently exist in China.

Sounds a bit like

a mining town, but with more economic diversity and not as isolated as Appalachia. Of course, it's communists directing it, not a private mining company with local law enforcement paid to look the other way when their thugs beat someone down. We'll be keeping an eye on communists for such abuses better.

I'll have a problem with it if they restrict the Chinese citizens' movement and surrounding economic development (potential competing businesses) in a way that harms the Chinese workers.

Otherwise, it sounds innovative and interesting.

I wonder if they'll send some of those Chinese language teachers to the Idaho schools. It's always fun to watch people get up in arms about that.

Why not us first?! Build a special economic zone in Ohio. We have this triangle formed by Dayton, Columbus, and Cincy, with access to I-75 and I-70. We're way cooler than Boise and we love Chinese people. Send us more, please.

70s and 60s and 50s

And in the 1970s it was the Ay-rabs were gonna buy up all the farmland and we wouldn't have any more food. In the 1960s it was the French draining us of our gold (which is to say the French were asking for gold as agreed to for the dollars they held). In the 1950s it was the Germans were overtaking our manufacturing because they were lucky enough to have had all their industrial plants bombed into oblivion so they now had modern factories against our old ones. Just wait a few years and the hysteria will fade only to be replaced by a newer one...

You're right. Paranoia isn't

You're right. Paranoia isn't exclusively American, but we have more than our share.

Reminds me of everyone saying that Japan was buying up the USA

Remember; back in the late 80's?

It was just a fact that Japan was buying up everything in the USA. Heck, I got some free Japanese lessons from my company because it was "Gung Ho" in preparing for the "Rising Sun" to take over.

Well, that turned out to be a big hoax, lie, misinterpretation, etc. Basically, the media saw the emotion behind Americans turning from US-made cars to Japanese-made cars and monetized on it.

Years later, I found that the truth was that the Dutch are the major foreign owners of US land. But perception is reality...thus, everyone just *knew* Japan was buying up the US...just like the fake 70's energy crisis, the fake 90's urban crime crisis, the fake Y2K crisis, the fake immigration crisis, and the current fake economic crisis.

But that can't be happening now. We all *know* that China is a major threat to us. Just as the Obama administration *knows* that white US men are major terrorist threats.

Color me "not fucking afraid of China". The powers that be that destroyed Japan's economic momentum with a mere sneeze in their direction can destroy China's economic momentum very easily.

You guys just don't understand the power of the Western World Order. It is they that should be our concern. If anything, the American people should help the Chinese survive the upcoming smack down by the WWO.

If there will this Idaho Chinatown, it is because the WWO wants it...not because China is forcing it on them.

Someone please tell me- what EXACTLY is wrong with this?

What are people worried about? As long as the Chinese will be operating within the rule of law here (don't laugh too hard, there still are laws in America, for the little people to follow), what's wrong with them establishing a sort of next-generation Chinatown?

I come here every day and read about America being in a death spiral, where all our rights are being slowly and torturously dismantled in front of our very eyes, and China doesn't sound so bad anymore. My neocon friends who think America is still "the land of the free" are scared of *Communist* China, but to me, it all looks similar.

At least the Chinese are spreading their empire economically and not through savage warfare.

I am truly curious about the specifics here, and if you can explain the trouble better, I'd appreciate it.

the question is

would China allow America to establish just such a self-inclosed city on its territory?
...would Israel allow for such a city on its territory?

google China buying farmland in US.

I tell you something.
Here in Canada there was a program on tv about China buying up real estate here and it being one of the main reasons why Canada did not have real estate collapse or even a correction in the last decade.
I have lived in Vancouver or as some call is Hong-couver for almost 20 years and I have seen the incredible changes.

there already were Western economic zones in China.

There are, and they've been a

There are, and they've been a boon to both China and the US.

Good changes or bad?

Isn't it better to NOT have a real estate collapse or correction?

I want to hear more about what it's like to be "colonized" by China...any specifics you can offer?

artificially high prices & because of that very high rents for those locals who can't afford to buy small houses for 500,000$.

it's all online all the info
you can just google it up

some time ago there was a scandal because the head of our Canadian intelligence agency issued a statement that some politicians are under the influence of a foreign government -- & I will add not just politicians.

Great...

Isn't our economy in enough trouble? We don't actually produce anything anymore. No wealth. So... instead of attempting to fix the problem let's just make it cheaper for China to sell us crap. We are the vehicle of our own demise.

That's a myth that we don't

That's a myth that we don't make anything. In fact, manufacturing is at an all-time high. But it’s also misleading to think we would be better off, or that a country is better, if they just manufactured stuff, as you imply. Despite the myth that we don’t make anything, whether your in a service sector job or a manufacturing job, it doesn't matter. We have skilled laborers who specialize in highly skilled jobs such as web designers, pharmaceutical products, technological advances, ect. I ask: is it more salient to be a factory worker as opposed to working for a web designer or a company that makes technological advances? Does it matter? If so, why?

I will have to respectfully disagree with you. Sorry for a crappy response to a good comment but I'm running late. I will better respond tonight when I have more time.

I guess we can set up a militia garrison inside Little Beijing to make sure they don't bring any of their commie cops and troops in.

The women are welcome though, as there's way too small of a supply of Asian women for all the American men.

I wonder what would happen if it were, say,

Pakistan or North Korea who wanted to set up a little nation state in Idaho. Same difference.

And what does "special economic zone" mean? it sounds like a government plan to exempt an entity from laws and regulations.

Just imagine if was Pakistan spying on everyone using wiretaps..

Imagine how a-wall the government would go over that. I wonder what they would do then?!

That has exactly zero to do

That has exactly zero to do with Special Economic Zones. You have some reading to do.

What Laws Will They Use?

Are the "zones" subject to US, State and local law? Will they have their own courts and "police"?

I'm very uncomfortable with this concept. The Chinese are able to invest in the US, to buy and/or build business and to participate in the stock market just like everyone else.

Yes it would be a model
