Theres a ton of muslums there

I got a flier it says ron paul doesn't support aipac and will stop aid to Israel

The message is spreading

I put that video up, and I can tell you this. So many people in Michigan are already aware of Dr. Paul, and are excited to go to the polls for him on January 15th. We have a huge outpouring of support when we do these events. People driving by will drop of food, donate money to the campaign, or park and offer to hold signs. The country is ripe for the Ron Paul picking.

michigan offices open this week

Ron Paul campaign offices open this week in genesee county (FLINT), and wayne county (DETROIT).
i've seen ron paul signs all over. i've seen no signs for any other candidate, and i've seen one mccain bumper sticker and one giuliani bumper sticker.

Better than I expected

I've been talking to some of my friends from high school since I got home from college, and I haven't found a single person who doesn't support Ron Paul. That's about ten people, none of whom have ever voted in a Republican primary. Plus, there's a camera store downtown that hands out Ron Paul fliers to everyone who gets their photos developed. Apparently they're making a pretty big splash in the indy art community and at the community college.

I haven't seen any signs for the good doctor yet, but I also haven't seen a single sign for any of next year's also-rans. No one except for the other Ron Paul people I talk to seem to be even remotely enthusiastic about voting, which I suspect means that Romney's turnout will be very low indeed. Plus take into account that Democrats won't have the option of voting for Obama or Edwards, which could push the non-Hillary Dems into our column.

We can take Michigan. I'm calling it right now.

again

Mitt has no traction here I'm telling you

absolutely

I guarantee Ron will take Michigan, there is no doubt about it as Romney is totally dependent on riding his dad Georges legacy here which ended 40 years ago in the late 60's.

Michigan has great potential

Ron Paul was registering only 1% in a composite of Michigan polls for September. By October he rose to 5.7%, a big leap for one month.

I'm not sure the more recent polls count for much. Michigan's primary has been in turmoil for months, Obama and Edwards are off the Jan 15 primary ballot for good, and none of that was known for the November poll. But it means some disaffected Democrats may look to Republicans for relief from Hillary, and Ron Paul certainly offers a clear alternative to Hillary! Plus he is strong on civil liberties and committed to bring troops home, both of which appeal to many Dems and some independents.

Polls for December are showing 4%, so the direction again is at least up. I'm sure the real support is larger, given that so many Michigan supporters of Dr Paul are voting for the first time ever, or the first time in many years, or have only cell phones, so they're names and numbers are not showing up for pollsters to ask. Plus add in the potential for Dems and indy votes per above, and who knows?!

The second half of September and early October we were on a roll. Dr Paul finished 3rd in a straw poll at a conference attended by Romney, McCain, Giuliani and Thompson (RP beat the latter two). October included the Dearborn debate, after which 2,000 turned out for a U of M rally -- reportedly his biggest crowd to date.

Since then there have been changes, including long-lasting uncertainty over whether Michigan would even have a primary, then the more recent realization of opportunity from the weakened Democratic primary plus leadership changes in Michigan. I'm in Florida now but from what I have heard, national campaign staff has stepped in to help with more people and resources. In addition radio spots have been airing on at least WWJ and WJR in Detroit, the preeminent news and newstalk stations respectively, and other stations throughout Michigan.

Will post more if I find it, but I guess my bottom line message is this: The turmoil is over -- and the screwed up Dem primary might have great potential for Ron Paul. Michigan is much larger, more diverse, and in worse economic economic shape than Iowa or New Hampshire. With the rest of the country starting to have economic worries too, Michigan results could turn out to be more significant than they seem at the moment.

Plus this nationally, as reported by Tim Russert earlier this week, maybe the most important and encouraging poll figure for us: Some 74% of GOP voters still are not committed to their current preferred candidate.

MI is a very important state

With a open primary Ron Paul has all the chances to win it.

I have been chatting with

I have been chatting with alot of my peoples in Mi and there is more support than many think. I think the biggest competitor right now is Mitt because he has been flooding the T.V. adds. I wish the NH project was airing their T.V. adds their or that the campaign would buy the adds and air them.

The blitz is on now. Get out

The blitz is on now. Get out and help! If you need signs get with the Meet-ups or call the campaign they are plenty available.
