(Re) Introducing Community Ads on the Daily Paul

Community Advertising on the Daily Paul

Daily Paul Community Advertising is a way for you to let the community know about your product or service at a discounted rate. It is a way to support the Daily Paul and give the community an opportunity to learn about your pro-liberty business.

How does Community Ads work?

iSocket/BuyAds.com is handling our sales and infrastructure. You can purchase, upload and schedule your ads directly at the BuyAds.com site.

Once your ad is approved, it will be worked into the schedule for display. Billing can be handled via iSocket, or directly with the Daily Paul.

What kind of ads do you accept?

There are two options for the discounted community rates:

• A standard 468x60 image banner (468 pixels wide by 60pixels tall.) that appears in rotation at the top of every post.
• A standard 160x160 button (60 pixels wide by 60 tall.) that appears in the middle column on every page.

Typical sizes for these ads are 12-15KB.

You can submit a non-looping animated GIF up to 15 seconds in length.

What kind of traffic does the Daily Paul get?

According to Sitemeter, the DP currently gets about 50,000 visits and 80,000 page views daily. Alexa has the DP ranked at 11,000 globally, and 2,600 nationally (i.e. 11,000th most popular site in the world, and 2,600th most popular site nationally.)

How much does it cost?

Standard banner advertising is charged on a CPM basis, meaning cost per 1,000 impressions.

On the DP, the cost for a 468 banner is set at $1.50 per thousand impressions, -- an incredible bargain. The 160 buttons are $300 per month in a spot with with 4 other ads, which works out to about $0.50 per thousand impressions.

How many times will my ad be shown?

For the 468 banner, it depends on how many impressions you buy. The minimum order is 100,000 impressions ($150).

For the 160 square, it depends on how much traffic the site gets. These days, the DP is getting around 2.5 million page views per month. There are ads in a spot, meaning your ad will receive about 625,000 impressions each month. Note that with the 160 squares, you're paying for a shared space, not a fixed number of impressions. If there are more page views, your ad gets shown more times for the same amount of money (and vice versa).

Where will my ad be shown?

The 468x60 ad is shown on every page before the content.
The 160x160 ad is shown on every page in the middle column.

How do I create an ad?

If you're spending at least $100, we will include in your price the creation of a basic ad for you (emphasis on basic).
