CNN Responds to Questions about Reported Poll Results

CNN's Reply

Hi there,

Thanks for Tweeting us with your concern. Please see the information below:

The Quick Votes on our CNN.com website allow our readers to express their opinions on topics in the news. The results of the Quick Votes are not official tallies or scientific polls. We do not consider the results news and do not use them as such. Each day's results are available for that day's vote solely for the enjoyment of our readers and viewers.

The results mentioned on American Morning came from the National Journal Political Insiders Poll, which is a regular survey of political operatives, strategists, campaign consultants, and lobbyists in both parties. Their site lists the names of both the Republican and Democrat Insiders who were surveyed for the debate. You can read them at http://nationaljournal.com/.

CNN

to hell with Cartoon News Network, how about we call them, Corrupt News Network, Mox News needs to buy that domain name, I will pay for it and hand it to him. I am in disgust beyond words. Thank you for contacting CNN, you are a true patriot, Keep up the great work!!!!!

Hmmm. A poll of readers is not "news" but a poll of beltway insiders vested in the survival of the DC kleptocracy is.

If this doesn't expose CNN as a government mouthpiece I don't know what does.

But who are these people?

I didn't find anything on the link to show who actually voted in this "Insider's" poll.

Link to their names

is here, (scroll down to the end of the article) but that doesn't tell us what their jobs are. The only name I recognized was pollster Jim Zogby, a Democrat.

Yeah Right!!!! And if Mitt

Yeah Right!!!! And if Mitt Romney had won suddenly it'd be the most accurate, praised poll in all of News Media.

RP: "My first name is Ron and my last name is Paul"

SP: "Wow, you have two first names. Nobody is going to elect 'Ricky Bobby' for President."

Okay, so how is an "insider

Okay, so how is an "insider poll" an official tally or scientific poll? And just because they used someone else's bunk poll how does that give it any more legitimacy than their own bunk poll. And why on earth would the opinion of the insiders (that are always giving their opinions and attempting to shape others' opinions) be relevant?

It's Not.....

...and that's exactly the point. These douchebags (and that's a euphemism) are nothing more than a representation of the status quo despite the fact that many people in the Republican party are tired of that.

I dunno about you, but I'm tired of hearing about my kid being poor in the future simply because we're wasting away.

Wow peachy keen, it's so clear now I guess CNN can go on national tv and thoroughly explain how real public polling is for kicks and meaningless while polling controlled from overturned rocks inside the beltway determines the whole campaign process and who wins nominations ... charming!

Oh ok

So let these 54 political operatives, strategists, campaign consultants, and lobbyists in both parties. watch your dumb channel and buy the products that you put on your commercials. We the people do not care what these self professing elites think. (how would it be news to me what they think) I am not one to even think of boycots but you have to admit there would never be a better reason for having one than this. This is an attack on the American voter. (this coming from the people who are always using the word democracy)

WHAT A JOKE!

CNN is openly committing fraud on their viewers...

CNN is desperate and their lies getting more and more obvious now. This is great because it shows we are succeeding. CNN is having to bend over backwards in their lies in order to hide the fact that Ron Paul is completely dominating all presidential polls and debate polls. Just a matter of time before we win this election...

CNN is not committing any

CNN is not committing any fraud, they disclosed the source right there on the screen along with the poll, read the fine print.

The viewers stupidity is about the only thing to blame, even after the "Iraq has WMDs" episode (to name only one out of thousands) they still believe whatever CNN is throwing at them.

It is fraud bc it is purposefully misleading the public...

Even if they mention the name of the poll they are making it look as if Ron Paul is losing when he is not. The truth is in 99% of the polls Ron Paul is winning by a landslide. They pick one poll (the National Journal poll) which was fixed and cite that as being the public opinion...

... National Journal

... National Journal Political Insiders Poll, which is a regular survey of political operatives, strategists, campaign consultants, and lobbyists in both parties...

Operatives paid to slant polls, Consultants who get paid by big spenders to slant polls and Lobbyists who get paid by laws passed for them and in return pay the politicians once they leave politics... Gee, what a nice gig!

Thanks Ian

Debate Poll

The results mentioned on American Morning came from the National Journal Political Insiders Poll, which is a regular survey of political operatives, strategists, campaign consultants, and lobbyists in both parties. So let me get this straight. "The results of the Quick Votes are not official tallies or scientific polls. We do not consider the results news and do not use them as such."

But yet you take those paltry results and purport them to be the deciding factor as to who won the debate? Yet they are NOT news? Come on...talking out of your ass and face at the same time much?
