R's: Get back to me when you nominate Ron Paul

Ever since I joined the Republican party to vote for Ron Paul I have been getting several requests per week for donations from various Republican organizations. I have taken to replying (sans donation) with this handwritten message on their donation forms: Get back to me when you nominate Ron Paul

This is a great idea!!!! I

This is a great idea!!!! I have a few unopened items right now...

I'd also like to let Heritage know they won't get another dime from me until they stop focusing on non constitutional issues and get real about fighting for the Constitution.

per somebody's suggestion, here

i've just been sending them the remainder of my 2008 ron paul slimjims since the postage on those stupid things is usually paid.

Thanks, this gives me a great

Thanks, this gives me a great idea for all those republican telemarketing phone calls I get. From now on that's exactly what I will tell them when they ask for a donation.

Are we winning friends

and influencing minds and hearts FOR Ron Paul? What should be our objective with certain opportunities? First, Ron Paul IS a Republican and a classic one at that. It is his party that we are trying to reform. This is done in two ways. 1) By being on the inside. 2) Building a voter base that will run and support other RP style candidates. When either of these are successful the GOP will be forced to change because they can no longer get "their" candidate elected in the primaries. THERE IS NO SILVER BULLET! Educate more voters, or that plus, be another Ron Paul within the party and do your best to overwhelm their shrinking numbers with liberty people.
I used to do some of the things mentioned in these comments but I decided to take our expensive literature and share it with an active voter, 1 on 1. You will get more out of it and it is more effective. 90% of all appeal letters are sent and received by fund-raising companies that have no dog in the fight. They do not give a tinkers damn about your opinion, only your check. NEVER donate because 80% or more stays with the fundraiser.
I think it is fine to be a well spoken classical GOP party participant. While you may baulk at this suggestion, think this trough. Write a check only, for $10.00, along with a brief letter expressing your concerns about the party's lack of support for liberty. Take, in person to your county chairman. Make him/her open it and read it in your presence. Wait for their response. Let them talk and expose their neo-con side by "explaining" how the party works. Record it if you can. I have a draft that you can customize. Friend me and request it.
The insiders hope we will eventually go away. We must prove them wrong! They drove us from the party once and must not be permitted to do it again. Too much is a stake. When our side regains power we must fund it. Put our money where our mouth is.
Sorry for the long post. God speed!

O U R P L A N = R O N P U A L (Coinsidence? I think not.)

You are outing yourself

I understand the emotional response: it is very justified but it is extremely counter-productive.

Pro-RP literature is easily tossed; rude/obscene comments play right into their narrative regarding RP supporters. You also remove the critical benefit of being a stealth RP supporter that can gain party insider power.

Better to remain to appear, officially, as a typical, lock-step, R all good zombie then take advantage of face to face opportunities to drop some subtle ticklers to move the zombies to investigate further.

Again, I understand/share the sentiment. If my comments seem chiding that is not my intent or desire. Please consider if the upside of venting by snail-mail to an anonymous letter opener(that is probably a low level volunteer or disinterested contract worker) is worth the down-side to our ultimate goals.

What would RP do?

Thanks for considering these comments on this matter.

P.S. If you wish to vent because the party establishment is a bunch of power crazed, selfish, ME monster tyrant scumbag collectivists-they are; do so with anonymous communication methods w/ no references to RP;-D

"You are a den of vipers and thieves."

I mean to rout you out!

-Just because you are among us, does not make you with us

-The door is wide open, anything can slither in

I use a permanent marker

and write RON PAUL! on the envelope, and on contents inside. If they don't get the message, then they are ignorant.

I really noticed the high

I really noticed the high volume
of mail after I donated to Rand's campaign.
I'm getting 10-15 pieces of mail per week.
One even has Sean Hannity telling me about the Constituion!
Hilarity ensued.
I did find time to send that one back since it came with a
postage paid envelope, with a little note suggesting that Sean could
perform an act upon himself of a sexual nature.

No Wonder They Hate Us

How rude to a volunteer (probably a silver-haired old lady).

Dr. Paul would never do such a thing.

I usually put in one of my slim jims from the last campaign.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I didn't have a return address on it or any link to RP.

I just wanted them to pay the postage and let them know that their beloved hannity is a sham.

I agree with you. Stuffing

I agree with you. Stuffing the envelopes with other things and no adult comment would not make anyone endorse Ron. I pay for a stamp even, to send the things back with my handwritten message and I always fill out their surveys. These organizations are mostly on the right track (tho some are scams) and they need more education, not punishment.

Send them back empty.

I, too, am inundated with Republican requests for money. I think they have an office staff who takes out the checks but doesn't even read our comments. So I just send the envelopes that have pre-paid postage empty. It doesn't take me any time and it costs them postage.

I send them back full

I normally grab all of the junk mail from the day and cram their postage paid envelope full of credit card offers and sales liturature. If it weights over one ounce, then they will have to pay extra.

Awesome Idea!

Regarding Palin: I believe we are watching in real time the rise of the third party, which will be controlled by the powers that be from its' inception.

Don't forget to stuff them

Don't forget to stuff them full of the Ron Paul slim jims, cards and other assorted info and then stamp the heck out of them with your custom Ron Paul 2012 ink stamp and your End the Fed ink stamp!

You might also want to tell them you will have loads more money to donate to the party with Ron Paul in the White House bringing peace and prosperity to our nation sea to shining sea.

Love it. I might add

or change it a bit. After all, you joined the party . . . so presumably you might have something to do with nominating the doctor.

So: I suggest telling the GOP to get back to you when they are ready to support Dr Paul. Or to put it another way: when you are ready to get on board the only winning train on the track!

If anyone asks you why you are supporting Dr Paul you can tell them "because he is the one who can win!"

So I'm Not Alone?

Thanks to everyone on this thread for making me feel a little less like a fool for filling the margins of those solicitations with education on economics, foreign policy, and true freedom. Don't forget to write RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2012 on the back of the postage paid envelope!

"on the back of the postage paid envelope"

Great idea!

Yes, its a great way to vent!

Yes, its a great way to vent! I also have fun with the NRA and the Family Morals or whatever coalition that I had to sign up for to vote for Ron Paul when he attended their televised debate in 08 and now I get their pleas for contributions. Hmmm, maybe we should get on a few progressive lists then we could proselytize them too with our anti-war and 4th amendment Ron Paul info.

Very nice....

...and I second that emotion.

"The greatest mystery of all is truth." - Me, 2009

I find the postage paid envelopes

And stuff them as full of old 2008 slim-jims as I can and mail them back. They pay by weight so you can likely get a couple of ounces in each one. I especially like the ones that have the note to affix my own postage to save theirs!

I love it, and all the comments below! I will start doing this

with the mail I get!

great idea!

i will start doing this as well!..

I've been doing this for awhile. Just sent

back two today. One was a stupid Heritage Foundation survey. I told them every day they ignore Ron Paul they become more irrelevant. I also got a Tim Pawlenty survey. I wrote a note that said please drop out and endorse Ron Paul.

I had the pleasure of writing "Traitor

to her oath" and "voted for the Patriot Act Extension" and "failed to defend the 4th Amendement" on two pieces of mail received from and returned to Michele Bachmann just today!

I tell them the same thing with the phone calls from the Speaker's Office and all the other bits of mail asking for support too.

..I get them from EVERYWHERE.

..I get them from EVERYWHERE. On the republican ones, I say: Just what have you accomplished so far? My money is going to elect Ron Paul. To ALL of the others, I say : My money is all going to elect Ron Paul. As President he will fix this. Please endorse him. I bet I send 25 a week. Maybe it will get me off some mailing lists.

I get lots

of those and phone calls to donate to this or that conservative cause. I tell them when they endorse Ron Paul I will send them money but until they do my money goes to Paul and other liberty minded candidates only.

Excellent; I will do the same

Very nice.

I like it...

I always add a Ron Paul card in the envelope and mail it back.

Rand Paul 2016 for Peace

I love it.

"Get back to me when you nominate Ron Paul."

Here's his card.
