This was a very good

This was a very good interview. Dr. Paul got the opportunity to answer some serious questions and make his points.

Bastiat v/s Montesquieu?

The scope of dept, understanding and keen perception on what is best for the American people comes so naturally from Dr.Paul answers.

"In republican governments, men are all equal; equal they are also in despotic governments: in the former, because they are everything; in the latter, because they are nothing."
Montesquieu
The Spirit of Laws
Bk. VI, Ch. 2

"Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Thus the beneficiaries are spared the shame and danger that their acts would otherwise involve… But how is this legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them and gives it to the other persons to whom it doesn’t belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish that law without delay - No legal plunder; this is the principle of justice, peace, order, stability, harmony and logic."
— Frédéric Bastiat (The Law)

"The Law" is a book that will change you

It's a classic. A must read for every child and adult.

Seems I recall this quote from that book (which I read 20 years ago), paraphrased:

"The is no greater evil that you can introduce into society than the idea that you can take from one group and give to another. As soon as you do this, no matter how noble the purpose, you embark on the road to serfdom."

I don't know if that quote is there. This may be mainly me saying it, but I can say Bastiat inspired me.

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a rEVOLution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford

Barry Goldwater or Ronald Reagan?

I loved that question (it's a lot better than iPhone or Blackberry).

For those who didn't watch the video, which politician do you think Ron preferred?

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a rEVOLution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford

Man, Mike Church Is Weird

Great job Doc

"The true patriot is motivated by a sense of responsibility and out of self interest for himself, his family, and the future of his country to resist government abuse of power. He rejects the notion that patriotism means obedience to the state."RP

Fantastic Intervirew

Dr P is really starting to critique his answers in regards to his philosophy. He is really starting to break it down so people can understand that his so called crazy ideas are not crazy at all. For instance the legalization of drugs. That's sounds crazy to most people. Our knee jurk reaction is OMG if you legalize drugs then everyone will do them. By explaining how many people die from the war on drugs the deaths from using them are insignificant. Also his opinion that drug addiction is a medical problem. He needs more interviews like this. My dream is to see him debate Obama in the 2012 Presidential Debates

Great Interview

Reagan or Goldwater- Goldwater

Interesting response by Paul, I would have thought he would have said Reagan.

I'd like to see the same

I'd like to see the same questions posed to the other candidates.

Ron Paul rocks!

bump for Liberty!
