Russert's son, Scarborough's Son, who's next?
Submitted by RebelRevolution78 on Mon, 12/24/2007 - 10:01At least Joe is trying to understand for himself, but Russert seems to be on the attack. How does he look his son in the face after that interview. He didn't throw any softballs, no questions about Iraq, or the Fed, and falling dollar. Is there any doubt about how smooth the Huckabee interview will go?

The irony
was at the beginning of the interview, Russert suggested they now get 'right to the issues'. And during the whole thing they never did get to the issues. I believe the reason why he trotted in the analysts at the end was because he knew he couldn't keep up the attacks. They simply ran out of material and didn't dare actually discuss the issues.
Others opinions
I've had the chance to ask some people who I know who don't support Ron Paul or who just don't care about politics, about the interview and those who watched it thought Russert was an ass.

Zero questions on F-Reserve, Dollar collapse, Monetary Reform
I was surprised too as well that there was zero questions from Tim Russert about one of Ron Paul's core issues and one of the things that makes unique -- the Federal Reserve/Central Bank monopoly and the need for monetary reform.
I guess Russert wanted to keep public exposure on this issue away from the general population and limited to the already educated.
Ron Paul did just briefly refer to the dollar collapse, but I was also surprised that he did not stick in his own little plug about the need for monetary reform and the failure of the Fed. To be fair, Paul had his hands full dealing with all the heavy innuendo and bogus characterizations coming from Russert that he had to correct. But unfortunately, the topic went uncovered.
Dr Ron Paul doesn't need
Dr Ron Paul doesn't need softballs, interview was just very good, although Ron Paul had a little not enough time for responses.
I don't think he need softballs, but
Giulliani got some, and Russert did not mention are ask about Iraq, and the economy. Why?
This is one of those times
I hope the Catholic idea of purgatory is true. Tim Russert would spend a lot of years there for this so called "interview."
The man has no integrity. How can he look his children in the face or look in the mirror every day I will never know.
Don't Worry
My only concern is that he that amending the Constitution was unconstitutional. Otherwise, I commend Russert for giving Paul airtime.
And his son is a Ron Paul supporter.
