"Want A Free Copy of Atlas Shrugged?
Posted on June 27, 2011 by Molly Fratianne

The Ayn Rand Institute is giving away a free copy of Atlas Shrugged to anyone who fills out the request form found here by June 30th. Atlas Shrugged, written by Ayn Rand, paints a dystopian future of a world where government regulation has run amuck and productive members of society have had enough. It lays the framework for a society based on morality, property rights and liberty.

The Ayn Rand Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to introduce young people to Ayn Rand’s novels, to support scholarship and research based on her ideas, and to promote the principles of reason, rational self-interest, individual rights and laissez-faire capitalism to the widest possible audience. The Institute is named for novelist-philosopher Ayn Rand (1905-1982), who is best known for her novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged."
I originally spotted this from Dealnews.com..and was an Editor's Choice Deal yesterday (last day to request your free copy).

Ayn Rand Institute giving away... anything?

All joking aside, doesn't that seem a little odd on its face? I got my copy for about $10 bucks. Books of this type are not expensive and Ayn Rand and her estate deserve to earn money for the works she created. I know the internet promises everything in the world should be free, I fall into that too, but if you support someone's ideas or work, go pay the small amount to support them and repay their effort.

Hmmm smells fishy....Sounds like mining to me...

Looks interesting, but at this point I don't trust the link/page.

The Ayn Rand Institute's website is at aynrand.org, but your form link points to a page on tfaforms.com. It's just a forms site to help webmasters, but seems anyone can set one up.

I scanned through aynrand.org and could not find this deal posted anywhere...

I think it would be quite helpful if you could post a link to the the original aynrand.org page promoting this offer so that it can be verified.

I still have the page up but haven't submitted my info yet because I'm not sure I trust this page either...for all the same reasons you cited. Could just be a data-mining operation.

Want the names and current addresses of libertarian minded people who support Ron Paul, plus the educational institution that let these unwashed brains through? Promise them a free book and set up a page to collect all the info.

Do you have to be...

...a current student? Or can you just put where you went to college and the year you graduated?

My alma mater is in my..

old country...and it took my order.

So yours should work..
