I've read so many posts about who's really running the show:

IMF
Military Industrial Complex
Rupert Murdoch
Evil MSM / Old Media / Corporate Media
Billary
Neo-Con's
Bush Family / The Saudi's
But the scariest idea of all, worse than any sinister group controlling our lives, is that there's NOBODY running the show. No one's driving the bus. No one is in control.
The political/economic system we've evolved over the last century is self-sustaining and self preserving. Bad politicians, ignorant journalists, overpaid CEO's (the list goes on and on) are all working independently in their own little fiefdoms. And what we get is a naturally arising system that was spawned by the usually well-intentioned decisions that were made on our behalf over the last 220 years.
They (the media, other politicians, typical republicans and democrats) aren't trying to suppress Dr. Paul. They really believe Ron is crazy. They really believe he is ignorant and naive. They really think we're all a bunch of zealous loons.
But the flat-earthers believed the earth was flat long after it was proven to be round. Dr. Paul will get no respect even if he win's the Republican nomination and goes on to take the presidency. There will be a claim that the ignorant masses have elected an anachronistic, ignorant president (as if we haven't done that already!)
Don't kid yourself. The system we've inherited isn't the kind of monster you kill by cutting off its head. We've got a LONG fight a head of us, so the sooner we can get over the conspiracies and get to work talking to our family, friends and neighbors about economics and foreign policy the better. We have to change the nature of the discussion in this country and it's going to take us educating ourselves and educating others with thoughtful, reasoned discussions, and literally trying to wait for the neo-cons to grow old and die. Because the infotainers, and politicians, and CEO's that love the current system aren't going to be won over by Dr. Paul's philosophy. That's why they are where they are. They believe in the CURRENT system. They need to be fired and replaced, and Dr. Paul's presidency is just the first step in our enormous task of public housekeeping.

Jaffy 87 , may I suggest that you open your copy of the Declaration of Independence and read the second paragraph, sentence 5:
"But when a long train of abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security.....The History of the present King...is a history of repeated Injuries and Usurpations, all having in direct Object the Establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. The Founders were talking about a "conspiracy" not a "conspiracy theory."
Today, just as in the time when another King George was conspiring to enslave the States, the proper, indeed, the only word to describe todays events that are leading us toward tyranny is an organized effort by men who conspire to create, for example, the North American Union. These things don't happen on their own but happen because men make them happen! Franklyn Roosevelt the arch-socialist President of the 20th century once said that "In politics nothing happens by accident. If it happens you can bet it was planned that way." He should know since he "ran the show" with his team of socialists and out and out communists. The "show" didn't run itself, Jaffy 87, it was a conspiracy that was running the show.
The dunder heads that really believe in the socialist model will believe this foolishness regardless of the evidence that socialism invariably leads to tyranny. They aren't the problem however. The problem we face is the Conspiracy that is doing something about taxes - they go up regardless of Repubs or Dems in the White House; Government gets bigger. If nobody was "running the show" just maybe government would get smaller by pure accident. But it grows bigger because men who conspire want it that way. Ideas have power, but ideas come from the minds of men.
The only solution is to expose the Connspiracy and to stop their favorite projects like the NAU. They want this Mega-Gov so badly that they have taken years to establish its foundation. NAFTA is the foundation and the WTO is the Legal governing bureaucracy. The Neo-Cons and The Rupert Murdochs all play a roll in this. For anyone to deny this is to play into the hands of the conspirators who want you to believe that a conspiracy doesn't exist- That it's just all happening by accident. That nobody is "running the show." That, my friend, is the ultimate folly and you need to do some reading. May I suggest "The Shadows of Power" by James Perloff available at Amazon books.com and The Creature From Jekyl Island (the story of the Fed Reserve) by G. Edward Griffin at his site www.freedomforceinternationl.org.

Well, i think all of us thought, from the start, if by a God miracle Ron Paul became President, that would be but the beginning of our troubles. For there is no way "they" - the real power brokers of the world - would allow things to just 'run' for Dr. Paul. So, most times i do wonder what we are doing. I won't stop doing it, but - i do get very discouraged. I mean, suppose we would get what we asked for. Then what? I certainly did not want to be the one to say it, but - someone has, so.... Well, God will sort this all out, and i have felt powerless all my life and these days i just want to read more Bible and pray more. Yeah, that seems about right. Thanks. Oh - THE MOON is close tonight....
I just looked at the moon thru binocs - WOW you can see the relief on the upper horizon more clearly, imo. Pretty cool. Either that or i am hallucinating - which is entirely possible. It is BRIGHT. wow. Do have a look, it may calm you to gaze upon another part of the Universe and realize - even those in control are not in control.

Occam's razor
I think most conspiracy theories fail to satisfy occam's razor. There is always a simpler explanation.
Sure, when you look at how powerful and all-consuming government has become, it can seem like it is the result of a master plan by some elite group. But it can all be explained as the result of a vast array of special interest groups and individuals serving their own narrow interests over a LONG time. It can even be attributed in part to some individuals acting for what they think is the public welfare. But you need not assume a master plan.
Our current state of degraded liberty is the result of a slow, organic erosion. Our tyrannical government has grown spontaneously in the fertile soil of a complacent populous, divided and alienated by the natural operation of politics.
At the risk of sending this thread off on a siding, the whole thing is rather like the evolution of species. A few simple laws and forces, over a LONG time, produces blue whales and kangaroos. They look for all the world like they were planned, but in fact they are the result of a system of trial and error.
So too, what appears to be the result of a world-spanning plan for domination is really the natural, unplanned result of many individuals seeking their own profit and power through the use of government force willingly surrendered by an un-vigilant population.
And the antidote is this new vigilance of ours.

I believe the valuable part of occams razor is the part about "all things being equal"....the simplest answer tends to be the right one. IMO I dont think you can apply occam to the NWO.

There is no "vast" conspiracy necessary for the conspiracy to work.
There is no incompetence fairy capable of screwing up all situations.

I always put it like this when talking to people.
It is many smaller groups, some with similar agendas, some opposing. From bankers to special interests, they all manipulate the state, through varying methods, for their own benefit. Call it what you will, but suffice it to say they all want a piece of the action. This is not to say that all groups are in this category, just those that do not respect or follow the law of the land, and when observing our current state of affairs, one can say with certainty that there are many.
This is one of the many reasons our government, as chartered, was intended to view every human being in the populace as an individual, and not groups of human beings. Not blacks, whites, Hispanics, Asians, Arabs, gay, straight, male, female, Christian, Muslim, nor Jewish, but individual sovereigns, each possessing the same inherent rights as the next, nothing more.
Some might say (likely not here), "What if we want more? We need more!" The answer to that is either work to change the law in a constitutional way, or refer to the 10th Amendment.
In short, the answer is the Constitution and the philosophy of liberty...mostly.
The other is a country of well-educated, critically thinking individuals who understand and respect the law and are capable of electing representatives who will truly uphold and follow it. In turn, those representatives would appoint judges who do the same.
And well, that is only the Federal Government. Many of our state governments have failed us as well.
Lot's of work to be done if we truly want out nation back. Dr. Paul is only the beginning.

This rings accurate with other research I have done. I recommend this site. It gives a good understanding of how wide the network of families really is. It is really good to understand that the people at the top don't have to control everyone all the time, just who they want to control AT THE TIME.

whoever started this... but glad you babble them out. The true state of the matter is NO ONE is capable of running the world, or any organization for that matter, but there are never lack of any attempts to grasp the world with one's hand for whatever intention. There is always unintented consequence ...Ron Paul or Austrian school of economics is smart enough to recognize and acknowledge that. You are right that even Ron Paul becomes the Prez, nothing much would change until most citizens take the responsiblity into their own hands. Our current system would not able to sustain itself for long and would end badly with a revolution of a different sort. RP is doing this out of love for this country, a true patriot.

Before you know it, the large governments, corporations, militaries, poltical parties, media outlets, etc etc etc etc..... are ALL compartmentalized so only THE very high ups, the execs and CEO/COO/CFO/advisor boards, etc... literally a dozen or less people per large corporation KNOW what the ultimate aims, goals, and directions and interactions with OTHER coroporations and governments and militaries, etc really are...
So before you know it, extrapolate out a bit, and the masses of people in the worker positions, the average employees of corporations, governments, militaries (ever try to pry information or DARE insist your superior tell you what HIS or the military hierarchies goals, plans, and direction is...they'd probably spit in your face and punch you in the mouth for being disrepectful and asking questions out of place or being nosy to the hierarchy... ), countries, etc etc...
Does it make sense yet? WOrldwide, it would literally only take a few hundred, but probably a few thousand sworn to privacy and secrecy and oaths of dedication to the Elite, etc, totally convicted to "the cause" (ie, ONe World ORder).. and before you know it, the few controlling the many, in which the end goals are oblivious to the below workers and employees of said corporations, govts, media, military, etc...
So youve got a LOT of good people working towards evil ends, because they are compartmentalized.. think of the RUssian Dolls (dolls within smaller dolls), or a pyramid structure of control and compartmentalization...
Like the story of research on bioweapons or atom bombs, etc... many of the lower people, scientists, engineers even, etc. were given a job, told to do it and get a paycheck, and don[t ask questions.. just do it or your out of a job, etc... before you know it, their task in the puzzle is complete and bam! the atom bomb or Anthrax, or AIDS is created and it's too late...

What's so scary?
What is so scary about the thought of no one being in control? Isnt that what we are fighting for on this site? Not one person in control but each and everyone of us in control of our own lives. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. A famous author by the name of Howard Zinn had a name for this. Its called anarchism. "Communities working together in a thousand different ways for the best of the communities." Not your typical definition of anarchism, but one I tend to agree with.

Great, some bad people are now releasing wild animals from the zoos, and the words 'domestic terrorism' are being thrown around. Just more scare tactics to prime us to give up our Liberties. 'They' actually think they may change our minds on the Second Amendment and we will soon not resist. Like if they just create a few more murders we will finally cave. Sorry - i strayed off the subject - but it goes to mind-control, doesn't it.
With that zoo story, they are talking about 'increased security' - well, we can expect all manor of horrors now. But how to reach The People so they know it is all a scam. For many do not understand. I guess we need to work fast while the internet is still a place to do that. :(

If nobody is in control, then why are all of the following true:
--The government owns every square inch of "your" land (Google "allodial title"), and can repossess it at any time. You rent land from government; the rental agreement is called a "property tax bill." Things that are owned outright are not taxed, because there is no authority to tax them. You don't pay a "furniture tax," for example. By paying property taxes, you have agreed to this arrangement and are contractually bound by it.
--The government [most likely] owns "your" vehicle (Google "Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin - MCO"), and can repossess it at any time. Unless you hold the MCO, you lease your vehicle, even if you paid cash for it. The lease agreement is called an "excise tax" and "registration." By not securing the MCO (which is difficult, by design), by paying excise tax, by registering your vehicle and attaching license plates to it, you have agreed to this arrangement and are contractually bound by it.
--The government owns your life, and can repossess it at any time by simply instituting the draft and sending you off to die in its wars. By registering with Selective Service when you turned 18, you have agreed to this arrangement and are contractually bound by it. If you are a woman and are smiling right now, know that your time is coming.
--The government owns your children, and can repossess them at any time by simply claiming that you are not caring for them and/or educating them properly. By allowing them to be issued a Social Security number and enrolling them in public school, you have agreed to this arrangement and are contractually bound by it.
--The government owns the fruits of your labor, and can repossess the full amount of it at any time. Whatever amount you take home on payday is arbitrarily granted by government. At different times in history, the tax rate has been above 90% for some. And by what authority? The same authority that says you may reclaim your lawnmower from your neighbor who borrows it. The Federal Reserve owns all money; you merely borrow it. If you try to conduct business in some other, private, currency, the government will repossess the fruits of your labor by way of seizing your physical body, the right to which your parents signed away at birth, as outlined above. If you conduct business in Federal Reserve notes, you have agreed to this arrangement and are contractually bound by it.
These are but a few examples.
The idea of individual sovereignty was far too dangerous to last long. Those in power went straight to work overturning that idea, before the ink on the Constitution was dry. Lincoln hammered the final nail in the coffin; by "granting" freedom to the slaves, he established the notion that government holds the keys to freedom. Call it semantic if you like, but he could have simply upheld the rights of all individuals to not be enslaved, by punishing those who enslaved their fellow man. We have all now been grandfathered into a system that equated an individual to a legal entity, thereby equating every one of us to a freed slave. Since we were freed by government, that same government can retract our freedom at its pleasure -- and it often does so.
You are not a sovereign individual. If you were, you could buy a few acres of land and create your own little kingdom where no government official could trespass. The idea of the police entering your kingdom would be as absurd and unacceptable as the United States invading Canada. You would be immune from arrest, because your individual sovereignty would trump police authority. You'll never see your local police arresting the President of Mexico on Mexican soil, for example. Clearly, individual sovereignty is an idea that needed to be stamped out quickly, in the eyes of government.
I'd say there most certainly is somebody "in control," but it isn't you, and it isn't me.
