CNN says Ron Paul's logo is the best of the bunch

http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/06/29/campaign.logos/index....

His logo is #8 in the evaluation and both reviewers had very positive things to say. Not a big deal but evidence that the campaign is doing good things and moving in the right direction.

CNN gets one right!

Evidence that Ron Paul has some of the best and brightest on his side. How could THAT possibly be? Of course I am completely biased but I like Ron's logo the best too. That doesn't mean I'll start watching CNN or anything stupid like that but I can't blame 'em for throwin' us a bone every once in a while. Think I'll go enjoy my warm fuzzy

Just look at the article's

Just look at the article's lead image... it's Ron Paul 2012 everywhere with multiple signs and multiple blimps!

In 2008 they would have done whatever they could to make sure Ron Paul was minimized in this kind of photo.

...

Really?

That's great, what about his philosophies and policies you CNNNNN...

Loved one of their comments on Romney's logo

The second opinion stated that he and his team's first thought to Romney's logo was, "Is this guy running for President of FRANCE?!" due to color scheme.

Au revior, Mitt ;-)

Update : July 10th GOP debate posponed indefinitely

Update: July 10th GOP debate postponed indefinitely

The Republican debate scheduled originally for July 10th, 2011 sponsored by The Daily Caller and Americans for Tax Reform has been postponed indefinitely due to lack of candidate participate. The debate was the finale of the 2011 Conservative Leadership Conference. Seems that the decision by Mitt Romney to pass on the debate was enough for organizers to postpone the event though a future date has not been given.

Report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

No Mitt Romney, no debate.

Three days after Romney, the GOP presidential front runner, said he wouldn't attend a July 10 debate in Las Vegas, the organizers postponed the event, citing scheduling problems.

The Daily Caller and Americans for Tax Reform Foundation on Friday announced their GOP face-off would be put off until another time, although no new date or venue was offered.

"Due to scheduling conflicts and impending changes in the Republican primary field, we have decided to postpone our debate," the group said in a statement, attributing it to Daily Caller Publisher Neil Patel and Grover Norquist, president of the tax reform foundation.

Herman Cain had been the only GOP presidential hopeful to have confirmed he would participate in the debate. Organizers had said they were confident the rest of the field would show up, but that apparently wasn't coming together after Romney announced on Tuesday he would skip it.

Romney said he planned to participate in a series of six other debates this summer and fall, culminating with one Oct. 18 in Las Vegas that will be televised live by CNN. That face-off will be part of the Western Republican Leadership Conference, a major regional meeting for GOP fundraising and organizing, including for Nevada's Feb. 18 presidential caucuses.

The July 10 debate was scheduled to happen the day after a Conservative Leadership Conference on July 9 at the M Resort. Cain is among those scheduled to speak at the conference.

GOP hopeful Herman Cain will still speak at the conference despite a lack of the previously scheduled debate. This will officially make July a debate-free zone with the next scheduled debate not until August. We'll keep you posted on whether we get a rescheduled date for the July 10th event.

How much do PR firms studying

How much do PR firms studying psychology and other things charge to make a campaign sign?

Well, PR firms don't usually

Well, PR firms don't usually make logos in-house. Usually, that's done by a branding or design firm (which is sometimes recommended by a PR firm). Unfortunately, very few designers are well-versed in psychology, color theory, or art/design history. The good ones are, however, and can easily charge $250 an hour for their time for a large-scale assignment. A logo alone can cost tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars to develop. At the same time, some of the best logos ever were done for much less than that.

Ron's was donated.

OMNEY

I'm really not a fan of Romney's, which makes his logo look like [red-white-and-blue-blob] OMNEY. That R is just ugly. And as CNN notes the kerning on the E & Y is weird.

Ron Paul comes through again!

He's the man.

Romney's R

looks like the Girl Scouts logo.

The red and blue elements

The red and blue elements make me wonder whether he's running as a R or a D.

Appropriate, given some of his positions (such as "Obamneycare".)

Where's the Charging RINO of Soul when you need it?

Cool. Of course it's all

Cool. Of course it's all opinions. I thought Newts was okay too. But Ron's is excellent because it STARTS simple and as a result it's probably the most effective.

Ironically Obama's would only really work if the mainstream media fell in love with him and flooded the American people with his name.

What a surprise, that's exactly what happened!

lol, the very first screen is

lol, the very first screen is ron paul signs AND ron paul mini-blimps. LOVE IT.

I'll admit, the Hermain cain one was pretty decent too. The liberty torch was clever.

I DON'T LIKE THE TORCH

IT REMINDS ME OF THE OLYMPICS, NOT OF AN ELECTION.

I, too, love the shot of all

I, too, love the shot of all the RP signs and blimps!

Funny how the one Bachmann supporter in that pic has a homemade sign with Michele's name misspelled. Hehe

As for Cain's torch... I'm not sure I see that as a liberty torch. That logo might be implying he's a "lightbearer", which has a different significance entirely.

hmmm that is an interesting

hmmm that is an interesting way to see it.

Nice but too

Nice but too derivative.

Besides: The population just got burned by the "change" hype - so they'll be twice shy.

My ron Paul meetup organizer

My ron Paul meetup organizer said ron didn't have a logo in 2008 which told him he was mainly running to sprread the message. Mission accomplished this time we have a logo. Hes serious.

Ron Paul

Names so short, we have to use them both.

Also, too familiar; using just one doesn't convey enough respect for this grandfather and statesman; it's "Ron Paul" or "Dr. Paul" for me.

On signs and logos, Ron Paul definitely has the advantage; his name can be bigger because it's short.

However in lists, especially lists of poll results, it sometimes disappears.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

"Dr. Paul" is ambiguous now

"Dr. Paul" is ambiguous now that Rand is in the Senate.
