Status Quo Candidates Stealing Ron Paul's IdeasSubmitted by legalizeliberty on Tue, 07/05/2011 - 12:40
Forbes: The Gold Standard: A Litmus Test For GOP Candidates.
DES MOINES, Iowa – Has the gold standard become “a litmus test of GOP presidential candidates?” It is, according to Think Progress‘ Matthew “Big Media Matt” Yglesias.
The Iowa Tea Party’s statewide, 21-stop bus tour culminated in a rally on July 2 in Des Moines lit by the suddenly incandescent candidacy of Rep. Michele Bachmann. (Disclosure: Her presidential campaign has retained one of this columnist’s partners, Robert Heckman.) Monetary policy is showing up in the core platform of almost all the GOP aspirants, including Bachmann’s.
At least six of the 10 generally recognized members of the GOP presidential field have put monetary policy — a strong dollar and opposition to abuses of the Federal Reserve.
Friends of Liberty note in the entire article Ron Paul is mentioned only once and in negative light:
"Meanwhile three of the other noteworthy candidates are explicitly on record for gold: Rep. Ron Paul and former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson are unwavering...".
Nothing about Ron Paul being the only one who brought those ideas to the public eye.
It seems to me as if the "Big Brother" is saying: Ron Paul simply does not matter — almost does not exist.
I had a dream not so long ago.
In it I was watching CNN and the lady said something like this "looks like Ron Paul supporters don't need any more of their Money Bomb fundraisers — guy next to her said "that's what happens when you win 100 million dollar lawsuit against biased media outlets".
