Video: So you think Fox News is Bad?

Another one the Rupert Murdoch Media Arms is in a spot of bother over here in the UK.
This story has been ongoing in the UK for a couple of years now, with other allegations of police and government cover ups doing the rounds too. But these new revelations will certainly change the public's view of corporate media.

Here's a CNN report on the issue and the truly horrendous new allegations.

There is talk of advertisers pulling out of contracts, mass boycotts and a 'proper' public inquiry.

The fact that the editor of the newspaper at the time of some of these allegations is now the chief communications spokesman for the UK government, will have no bearing on the matter. The other former editor around the same time, is now Rupert Murdoch's second in line.

## Update July 12th ##

There is now talk of a complete News International Corp boycott in the UK. Quote:

the media mogul’s companies “propagate a false image of the world, exaggerate news stories, and spin an agenda which fits Murdoch’s business interests.”

the organisation gave him an “astronomically disproportionate amount of power which is largely unaccountable” and that this “erodes our democracy”

Please come join in the fun, let the Limeys know what he gets up to in the US, I'm sure they will be interested to hear confirmation of his manipulative warmongering ways:

The same newspaper

The same newspaper interviewed the family, and then publicised their emotions and raised hopes due to the assumed removal of the phone messages by their murdered daughter.

It now seems that this wasn't a isolated incident, newer allegations are pointing to phone hacking on several other high profile murder investigations and family members.

It's sad it's come

to this. A possible loss of information that could lead to justice.

When I saw this thread, I thought it'd have to be pretty bad to be worse than that hacking a dead teen's phone story.

I'm glad the UK people are taking it seriously. Those gossip columnists in the UK are not treated as slime. They go on shows and don't even put on the pretense of decorum, just drip with gossip and smirking as if it were a respectable profession.

I'm not saying we don't have that here, but it's a lot slimier and a lot more accepted over there.
