FDA unleashes scheme to outlaw virtually all dietary supplements formulated after 1994

http://www.naturalnews.com/032912_FDA_dietary_supplements.html

(NaturalNews) In the wake of hundreds of dietary supplements recently being outlawed across the EU, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has quietly unleashed a regulatory scheme that, if fully implemented, could ban virtually all dietary supplements in the USA that were formulated after 1994.

That means nearly all superfoods, multivitamins, detox supplements, and medicinal herbal products we have all come to depend on to prevent disease and boost our immune health could soon be stripped from store shelves and outlawed across the nation. I call it the "End Game" of the FDA's war against humanity: Phase one was the enforcement of nutritional ignorance by threatening and raiding companies that dared to make truthful health claims on their own websites (http://www.naturalnews.com/021791.html). Phase two involves "nuking" the entire dietary supplements industry by simply denying the use of nearly all the ingredients presently used in supplement products.

I just signed this petition:

https://secure3.convio.net/aahf/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&pa...

The petition letter explains the situation very well. Here are two paragraphs from it:

First, your interpretation of "new dietary ingredient" is far too broad. Under the new rules, all ingredients in the food supply before 1994 that have been chemically altered in any way are considered NDIs and therefore subject to NDI notification. Moreover, the definition of "chemically altered" includes certain types of fermentation, exposing ingredients to high temperature baking and cooking, and using a botanical ingredient at a different life stage than previously used -- for example, an extract of unripe apples instead of ripe apples. How absurd!

Second, your guidance that a synthetic copy of a constituent or extract of an herb or other botanical is not considered a dietary ingredient is arbitrary, and will make many dietary ingredients on the market illegal -- particularly as this standard does not apply to non-botanicals.

This should play a big part in opening eyes...

Think of how much this will affect... The entire "work out" community will be affected. THE MAIN way of income for gyms and fitness clubs is the selling of "supplements." And that ain't no joke. The supplements are to the fitness clubs what concessions are to movie theaters. No concessions, no movie theaters.

What will happen to all the companies that supply equipment to these clubs and gyms? How many people work at the offices of these manufactures? How many manufacturers are there?

What will happen with all the magazines that cater to the people these clubs and gyms? They are going to loose a MAJOR portion of their advertisement, so, no more magazine. How many people work at the offices of just one magazine and how many different magazines are there that cater to these folks?

I'm asking rhetorically of course, but you get the point. A LOT of folks will be shaking there heads and saying what happened?

We will be there with the answers and as we all know, they AIN'T gonna like it.

TPTB are GOING to go through with their notorious plans, in this case CODEX Alimentarius so we must arm ourselves with the knowledge of what (CA) is and be ready to link it all right back to the Federal Reserve (which is of course what makes this and all other "issues" possible) and then they'll see the ONLY man talking about ending the FED.

So, since they're gonna do it anyway, lets use it to further the wake up process...

Well, that's what I'm gonna do anyway.

If the Pharm Industry can't made a buck off it...

then their cronies will lobby to have it outlawed...still unbelievable!

The FDA will not stop us from growing our medicine

They will not be able to take from us what we use them to make sure we have… good health.

I am in Europe. I hope Americans fight this and stop it from happening.
It is disgusting what they are doing to natural supplements.

My local health store - when our laws went through, so many shelves of herbal remedies are simply not being restocked. Really good brands too, just no longer there. Its very sad and surreal that it actually happens.

Who do these govt/corps think they are to do this to people!

Why do they do it?

I think they think they're

I think they think they're this guy:

not Rick Roll! lol

It seems to me that this will

It seems to me that this will be crushed in court. It seems a good (or bad) lawyer could easily show that "approve" is well beyond the intent of the law because the phrasing of the law is "notify".

Were "notify" to mean "approve" then, when the US Army regrets to notify you of the death of your relative, you can still disapprove of their death and bring them back to life? Ok, bad example I guess.

what about

protein shakes? will those be banned too? this is a dumb move. there is a huge market for these supplements and they are gonna ban them. makes no sense.

Yeah, protein shakes fall

Yeah, protein shakes fall into the dietary supplement category. I actually tried to bring one to the market with some friends years ago. We got real close but things fell apart towards the end. One thing I remember so clearly though is reading through the FDA's crap for hours about what we could and could not say on the bottle and even where the fricken bar code had to be and what ratio different fonts must be. It was stupid but they couldn't do anything except prevent us from marketing in certain ways. We couldn't tell you that it's good for you, for instance! With this, they could pull the whole product and say "f--- off".

wow. I am def going to try

wow.

I am def going to try hanging this article up in my gym.

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHHAAHAH

If they do this, THEY'RE DONE!!!!!!

It will wake up sooooooooooooooooooo many Americans!!

AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

They're SHOOTING THEMSELVES IN THE FOOT!

What a bunch of IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Makin' it happen, Cap'n.

I hope so...

I hope all is well with you and yours.

Nice 'bumping' into you.

Outlaw means, "out side the law." City laws go to city border.

The word, "outlaw" has various uses. For the longest time, it referred to the fact that laws are limited by jurisdiction. Beyond borders, is outside of the law. Outlaw:

  • City laws are inside the city.
  • County law are inside the county.
  • State laws inside the State.

The US Food & Drug Administration is admitting some limits to its supposed control.

Don't believe me? Why where the Cowboy rustlers depicted as running for the borderline? If the city police stopped at the city borderline. County Sheriff stopped at the county borderline. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) stopped at the US borderline.

Recently, in the last Century or so, the word got all convoluted. "Hot pursuit" goes beyond borderlines (see: "Alice in Wonderland" ... Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) goes inside borderlined. UN-believable.

supplements and Senator John McCain

“We fear the this power to ban any supplement unless the supplement is turned into a drug and brought through the Drug approval process.”

I did a post on part of this bill earlier in the year it seems that Senator John McCain is one of the men who brought part of this bill to the floor? Would McCain help big pharmaceutical co. Oh yes I like my vitamins a ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.

Bureaucracy gone mad

The FDA has gone too far this time.

To the extent, "Outlaw" still means "out side the law"...

The FDA's mental state has not changed. They are admitting they have no jurisdiction outside their presumed borderline.

I know there are various interpretations; I am sticking with this time-tested one. Millenniums.

I hope they do this.

I hope they do this.

Columbus, Ohio

Why?

You not into freedom much?

Maybe it'll wake some people

Maybe it'll wake some people up.

Just like the TSA. I hope they continue their abuses. It's feeding the fire.

The reason so many people are up in arms today, is because they've been directly affected by government overreach.

It's becoming less and less likely a citizen can say, "well, it doesn't affect me so, I'm all for it."

I see where you are coming from...

I feel the same way about a lot of different things...IF ONLY the people will see what is happening, IF THEY actually go through with FILL IN THE BLANKS.

Unfortunately I have less faith in the average American these days.

I'm pretty sure than when

I'm pretty sure than when they eventually draw the line, it will be too late.
