Ron Paul beats Gov. Rick Perry and all others in Texas GOP poll

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2011/07/ron-paul-...

Ron Paul, the conservative congressman from Texas, beat the entire field of GOP presidential contenders in a poll conducted recently among "882 highly active Republican voters in Texas."

Answering the simple question, "If the Texas Republican primary were held today, which presidential candidate would you be most likely to vote for?" 22% of those polled selected the 75-year-old affectionately known as Dr. No.

Gov. Rick Perry came in second with 17%, followed by deep dish pizza lover Herman Cain (14%), with Newt Gingrich placing fourth at 11%.

Texans don't seem to care much for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney or Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, who got 8% and 7% respectively.

Get the Democrat Rick Perry out of here.

Get the Democrat, lying neocon Rick Perry out of the way as we have every right to expose him.
http://www.infowars.com

And don't mince words about it, he is a mealy mouthed Obama loving rabid dog.

Hate to say this so soon but so is Romney, expose them on the news at every opportunity and sic the Tea Party right on 'em!

Many americans are finding out that Perry was Al Gores campaign

chairman in Texas in 1988. He is a globalist, and a lying fraud. He reminds me of that other lying weazel Willard Romney. These stinking career politician are mostly sociopaths, saying one thing and doing another. They don't know what the hell they are doing and allow themselves to be molded and shaped by their serpentine handlers to say all the right things, however, once in office they govern differently.

Its time to root them all out and by the eterrnal God we must eventually root them out or lose our republic.

Thanks Michael for placing this on the front page

Thank you so much.
Enjoy your weekend brother!

The problem is that is that

The problem is that this voting organization Aziruth MAY be a bit fishy, and we may not want to get too excited. I'm not trying to be negative and love RP, but I'm just saying the website looked a little cheap upon checking it out. Then I googled the phone number under the contact # 202-239-6207 and it came up as the same number as the Republican Liberty Caucus number in Melbourne, Florida. What is going on here? Anybody have an explanation? If someone is putting out false polls for RP, they are not doing us any favors.

Fact is Perry just got re-elected last year.

I find it incredible that these same voters who ignored Medina would be so overwhelmingly inclined to elect Paul. Perry must be taken VERY seriously.

I think Perry hurt himself in

I think Perry hurt himself in this most recent governor's campaign. In the primary, he came across as a dirty, mud-slinging politician. He played up the fact that Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (his challenger) had voted for the bailouts, and I think that's the main thing that hurt her from seriously posing a threat to him. Hutchison has been pretty well liked in Texas, and he had to pull out all the tricks to keep her from gaining momentum.

Also, he refused to debate his Democratic challenger in the general election. Texas is much more Republican-friendly than Democrat-friendly, so he was still elected anyway. But I think the whole thing left a rather sour taste in a lot of voters' mouths.

One thing to be sure of though--if Perry joins the race, he will pull every dirty trick in the book. He should not be underestimated.

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." --H. L. Mencken

Medina got 19%

# Medina is no Ron Paul
# Ron Paul won his Congress seat with 80%

Medina is no Ron Paul She ran

Medina is no Ron Paul

She ran for the highest office in the great state of Texas. The 16th largest economy in the world.

She took 19%. Amazing. That puts a smile on my face.

If she can manage to win Ron Paul's seat at some point in the future, perhaps with a little help from Dr. Paul, we'll get Mrs. No in the house.

And as well spoken as she is, the federal reserve chairmans for the next 20 years are going to really hate her.

I look forward to it.

A beautiful thing.

Just enjoying the glow of it!

Nice. Looks like Perry would

Nice.

Looks like Perry would predominantly take support from self describes mainstreamers (Mitt), and Tea Party Lite types (Bachmann). RP intenders look safe even if he should run.

The world's definitely coming our way. I just hope it comes quick enough for a win.

SteveMT's picture

This is a double victory.

1. Ron Paul wins the Texas poll.
2. The LA Times reports the truth of this victory.

There is hope for the LA times to survive.

Thanks for this story, LL.

Storm has just started

Thank you Steve.

I wonder if Ron Paul's campaign staff

is even aware of this poll. They need some media savy professionals on the staff that KNOW HOW to use these "gifts". They just keep popping up all the time, but the staff doesn't seem to know how to get them inserted into the news. There are people out there that specialize in this - hire them!

alan laney

Have you tried getting the oldstream media rapporting on RP??

Wake up people.

The oldstream news has an agenda. And us being free is not part of it.

yes they are

They posted little note on RP website here:

Lew Rockwell
http://www.lewrockwell.com/politicaltheatre/2011/07/ron-paul...
& State Column websites posted about it -- that's all up until LA Times gave this coverage.

Yes it sucks.

Now that one MSM outlet covered the big news...
the campaign should contact all MSM outlets pushing this story!!!

We Need to Pound InfoWars with Emails,

and get Alex to headline this, and maybe Drudge will.pick up on this and post it. This is big news, because it was taken by 'active' GOP voters and not just those who are registered or of voting age. Plus, it was direct and to the poin, not some BS questionnaire, where they average out the tally.

agreed

LA Times is the FIRST major media outlet that mentions this poll...I am sending this to Drudge Report right now.
