Paul's true support; hurdles we face

I would like to start by saying that this is my first post after regularly keeping tabs on this site and Ron Paul's burgeoning support since September. I also would like to say that I am now 18, and I have never in the past had any interest in politics whatsoever. But since I stumbled across him I think in the American Free Press, all that has changed. Ever since, it’s become a sort of addiction to check up on this site and scan the net for news articles. This just shows how powerful Dr. Paul’s message of peace, freedom, and prosperity truly is, and I think that many, if not all, of us can personally relate to this feeling. Just listening to the man speak in interviews and debates has stirred something up deep inside of me—the feeling of true patriotism! This is what it is, and this is what I believe many of us on this site feel. This is the powerful motivation for us to raise Dr. Paul millions, vote in polls, and come up with creative ways to spread The Message. However, his “scientific” (as *they* like to call it) poll numbers are very low compared to his impressive fundraising prowess as we all too well know. Well, put simply, these polls are shams; they’re obviously skewed. I’ve read somewhere, through all of my article-searching (pro and con), that in some of these polls, Paul isn’t offered as a choice, only in the “other” category. And after the particular individual who is polled selects “other”, the recorded voice says that the person being polled will be excluded from all future polls! This is ludicrous! And this is beside the plain fact that only landline home phones are used for polling AND that only people who have voted in the last election cycle are polled. All of this only leads me to believe that his support is VASTLY greater than indicated in “scientific” polls, due in part to supporters’ vigorous independent campaigning and The Message’s infectiousness. Of course, this should be fairly obvious when taking a look at all the straw polls, debate polls, and such that he’s won. Also to put his real support into perspective, I’ve come across some numbers from an AFP article:

Members: 83,978; Interested: 7,862;
Groups: 1,333; Cities: 1030;
“Meet-Ups”: 18,347

No other candidate’s support (Republican or Democrat) even comes remotely close. The closest to Paul in number of members is Barack Obama with 5,616, and Hillary Clinton lies in 5th place by member numbers. It’s actually kind of sad how far ahead Ron Paul is when comparing the numbers. So, assuming that Paul does actually have this kind of support, you’d think he’d have this election in the bag. But I’m not so sure. There are potentially some very devastating blows to the campaign that could be on the horizon, hence this post. The reason I registered to this site is to bring these to your attention for contemplation and to determine ways to work around them. One such is the possibility of vote fraud.

Contrary to what some of you may think, this is a very real adversary to the Paul campaign and the Revolution. Now, don’t go dismissing this as a “conspiracy theory” before investigating it yourself to come up with a logical, well-formed opinion of the matter. All of the progress that has been made already will mean nothing if vote fraud is real and knocking on our doorstep because the “establishment” will not allow Paul into power if they can help it. It has recently come to light that the notorious Diebold machines can be easily manipulated by means of programming them, and they have supposedly caused upsets in the past. One example could be the Pat Buchanan-Bob Dole fiasco of 1996. Our first run-in with this possible vote manipulation could be in New Hampshire, a very important state to win and one that Ron Paul should conceivably be easily able to win. To quote from the AFP, “The New Hampshire primary will utilize the computer counters in 50% of the precincts while the other 50% will use hand counted paper ballots. However, half of the precincts that will use the computers will contain around 75% of the voters” (12-14-07 issue AFP, pg. 12). So, I suggest that we research this topic more thoroughly and come up with ways of bypassing this potential problem or ways to refute the “official” vote count if foul play is encountered.

Let’s assume, then, that either this problem is nonexistent or we find a way around it. Let’s say that Dr. Paul starts winning these primaries or at least ranks very highly. We all know that if he were to win the presidency he would step on many toes by abolishing a whole laundry list of government agencies and programs to return the government to its constitutional size and reverse the direction that it’s been going for many years. Well, articles have recently surfaced on the internet regarding the possibility of an assassination attempt. Now, again, before you start slamming me for conspiracy theories, I’d like to say that everything needs to be considered because everything is at stake here. If Ron Paul doesn’t become the next president, I truly believe that this country is never going to survive. He is our last hope. He is possibly the last truly honest man left to save us and our country. So, with that in mind, his health and safety needs to be very closely guarded. He almost needs to be stored in a vault for protection because if he does start winning, the situation could get volatile. Now, in these articles I’ve read about a possible assassination attempt, a particular group of men surrounds the scheme. They are called the “Bilderbergers”. They are a small, secretive circle of men that supposedly plan the future of the US of A, kind of in the mold of a Bond movie. Does it sound ridiculous? In my opinion, yes! But is it possible? Yes. Yes, this needs to be investigated, and updates should routinely be researched regarding this situation. This needs to be kept under surveillance so that if some plot does arise, it can be thwarted. In fact, the very possibility that they are considering assassination just shows how scared *they* are and the odds that Ron Paul actually has of winning this election. Just something to think about.
