5 Reasons Progressives Should Join the Ron Paul Revolution

This is one of the most concise, well-written pieces I've seen that we can share with our Democrat friends.

I Agree!

I'm somewhat progressive, and my website covers a lot of progressive subjects and issues, and I support Ron Paul very strongly:

Progressive Media?

What progressive media? There is no progressive media out there.

There may be some that posture as progressive but fail the smell test. If you mean by progressive (Liberal) then again i ask where is the Liberal media. There is no difference!

It is just like democrats or republicans, it is one party with two heads. They want the same goals but show a different facade.

The real progressives are informed. Truly informed. They know the constitution and they agree with most of what Ron Paul stands for as do I. About 85%. That is why I have contributed to his campaigns, driven around in my big Van with Big Ron Paul posters on it. So yes I am a progressive but and I understand how a government can influence the economy and job creation negatively or positively.

That jobs are leaving the country is the result of government meddling. Purposely driving jobs from our shores.

I also understand how this government can bring jobs back by changing those policies.

As far as sound money is concerned all we have to do is follow the constitution. article 1 section 10 "no state shall make anything but gold and Silver Coin legal...

I think i understand Ron Paul to say that that is what he means by sound money!

As for being independent, on your own and caring for no one but yourself is a very tempting and freeing feeling. That is what a lot of us think of as freedom. I suspect there are going to be a lot of Ayn Rand types that even though they espouse complete self reliance will at some point to their dismay become needy enough to take help from whatever source just like Ayn rand did when she collected social security.
What would have become of her did she not have social security and medicare to lift her up so she could live in dignity to her dying day.

Where would she have wound up? And how will all the rest facing hardship in life wind up when there is nothing fall back on?

How much independence do you want?

Just asking?

Anti Paul Progressives Comments

Reading the comments posted by the anti Paul progressives in this article is bizarre. The hate, class envy and believe in government as benevolent provider is appalling. Its saddening to hear the ignorance out there. Reminds me of the Thomas Woods video, interview with a zombie. The only intelligent comments were posted by the Ron Paul supporters.

"progressive" ignorance is

"progressive" ignorance is appalling. They live in a fantasy land where government has been responsible for the increase in standard of living and is some infallible savior from the "Evil" private sector.

They harbor seriously deluded beliefs that if federal government were to be weakened we would slide back into the 19'th century. Lol. Reminds me of neocons who think islamics will suddenly conquer the USA if we weren't bombing the middle east around the clock.

It's all part of the the same ignorant fear mongering that allows the federal government to rule with an iron grip.

Which progressives are you talking to?

I don't know any progressives that think what you say they think?

But progressives don't want to go back to the days of sweat shops, child labor and Robber Barons. Progressives believe in small government but good honest government not the federal Mafia we have now.

Have you heard about the Glass Steagall act which was instituted after the great depression? That was a good law that regulated the banks to stop more depressions. Because the great depression was caused by big banks gambling on the commodities markets like they are now on the markets. That is the real reason the price of gas is so high. As long as it was in effect no depression. But when slick bill got in to office,he with the help of Larry summer, Rubin and crew they managed to get rid of the Glass steagall act. So here we are again sliding in to a depression that will be far worse than anything we have seen because the Big Banks without any restraints are doing it again. So you see there needs to be some oversight.

So lastly, I think about the nuns who unselfishly go out there and help a lot of needy people. Salvation army who help wherever they can. The I think about my life. Am I just going to be someone who lived my life without doing anything to help others that need help. Will I die a selfish scum bag and have no thought for anyone other than what is in my immediate proximity?

For Christians are they not suppose to love thy neighbor as thyself?
No i am not a christian at least not in a traditional way but I care about others...

Progressives will never understand

Progressives will never accept individual liberties. They believe that the work and money of people belongs to the states and is their duty to "redistribute".
Screw them.

morning bump
