Taxes not used to pay for current services

According to the Grace Commission all of our income taxes go straight to pay off the interest on the national debt. This commission study was funded during Ronald Reagan's term. None of the taxes collected were used to pay current costs for the services the government must pay for now.

I prefer a dangerous freedom over a peaceful slavery. Thomas Jefferson

Taxe$ For Intere$t ! ! ! .

tx, thanks for posting the Commission's report, here we have evidence that tax money is going towards payment of interest. If interest is abolished then there will be very little taxes, and whatever tax is collected can go to/for development, administration of justice, peace & Law, defense, & necessary social services. Not for interest, bail-outs, etc.

Let there be a Law that the Govt will Not pay Any Intere$t to any Bank, domestic or foreign. That is real freedom, - when the national govt is free from obligation to pay interest, - because with interest bearing loans there are stringent conditions. No self-respecting govt or person can tolerate the usurer'$ humiliating terms %.

U$ury is a form of Robbery, a trick. People borrow because of need, greed, or ignorance of consequence =(increasing debt), but only the weak & fools pay interest.

― Ron Paul

you cut off bill mahr saying "...wouldn't you be president?"

good effort. just tweak the music and fix the ending.

Sorry, the best I could manage is about 3:40 into it.

the background music is WAY WAY WAY too loud and distracting. I can't hear what is being said. (and personally, I don't care for the tune chosen to boot, at least not that part of it)

Pretty Heavily Borrowed

...especially at the 7:30 minute mark when my "The Age Of Ron Paul" video started. Pretty good effort though, I do like the beginning.

WHYYYY did you cut the clip short at the end??? Bill Maher says "if the country were smarter, wouldn't you be president"? Why did you cut that off at the end? this video would have been perfect!

Truth is funnier than lies.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Here is the question I put to Cindy Sheehan ...

Question: If liberals believe that big corporations from 6 major industries have taken over full control of our government,... and they believe that government is no longer working 'for the people' but rather for the interests of those 6 big industries hence that is where all that big money comes from come election time, .... then why do liberals always want us to send in MORE tax money to the government? ... Why send our hard worked for money to a government that we do not control or even really "own"? It seems to us that STARVING the government of the Income Tax, its life blood, would be the way to go. Starving the government of the Income Tax would kill the Halliburton's, the banksters, the whole Military-Empire-WallStreet-Congressionalnal-complex, would it not? I for one, would gladly give up any measly 'benefits' we are paid off for in the form of SS, Medicaid, or 'Obamacare'.

Nice compilation of important

Rock Star Moments of Ron Paul

The fact is that none of

The fact is that none of those people support Ron Paul. I am not sure why it is so important to make these videos, when they are not even accurate?

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

I was concerned when I saw this thread title.

I've seen Maher and Stewart in recent separate interviews, and when asked who they could support on the Republican side, they NEVER said Ron Paul -- and Stewart gave a weak nod to Romney. :/

Because Truth destroys bondage...

Because they show that truth can cut across the false left-right paradigm....and when you stop the oppressed (all of us) from fighting amongst each other, perhaps they will unite and elect someone for truth, rather than politics!

all these 'heart-warming' crap that never work in the long run.. hipster crap to appeal to hipsters. did hipster music work? ended the vietnam war you can argue. look, where are we now? did it solve the problem fundamentally?

need more videos to argue intellect. even many rp supporters themselves don't quite understand constitutional issues, as i have seen over the past 3 years. more intellect, less emotional frivolity like this (that isn't even real endorsement).

I don't understand...

... some of the comments below. This is a great compilation of important footage that some of us have seen or not seen. Thanks a million.

Plano TX

very heart warming seeing ron being praised by MSM

television celebrities who make a living off this country's divisiveness. i guess some of us are just not docile/juvenile/naive.

Great to show our liberal

Great to show our liberal friends. Well done.

Is this clip not from 2008

Is this clip not from 2008 campaign? I haven't heard Maher say a good thing about Ron Paul since. In fact, his whole approach has been reprogrammed. Why are you posting such outdated and misleading material?

great compilation.... gotta

great compilation.... gotta get rid of the music, can't hear what is being said, and that is where the meat is.

Great Video! Good Job!

Video flows WELL. Excellent. It brings in the issues and stays on the war and spending... awesome !!!

Nicely done! Share, share, share!

PS.... Did I say I love it? I DO! Its edited and put together so well...and I think it works really well for any liberal / independent.

Heartwarming video

Thank you for posting this...I can think of a few other clips that would have fit well here, too.

About endorsements and support: I know there are many celebrities who like Ron Paul. However, precious few have stepped forward to claim the distinction of being a bona fide Ron Paul SUPPORTER. They haven't availed themselves of the PRIVILEGE and HONOR of joining the Revolution yet.

Will they ever step forward, the way so many of them did for Obama? That would really stir things up. I'll bet if a few came out of their Ron Paul closets, many more would be emboldened to follow. Imagine how effective that would be! Ron Paul on stage with a crowd of celebrities backing him.

Imo these are not progressives. They are hard core militant socialists.

Is it just me?

Or did seeing all of these recognizable faces talking about Dr. Paul in such human and relatable terms make you feel that you were on the "winning side"?It brought a tear to my eye that finally someone else was feeling respect and admiration for this wonderful man and was "getting it " Dr. Paul is so real and saying all of the things that Americans are thinking to themselves? I think that he is doing that! Please do whatever it takes to get hundreds of thousand of people to see this video. I would , but I don't know how to.. I can type a comment but can't spread the message because I'm computer Illerate.

kids develop easy affection too

same reason why many of them are always either so high or low and constantly in a mood swing.

not the kind of people to be entrusted with serious task.

You are missing the point

You are missing the point.

Do you prefer that Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, Howard Stern and others would all think that Ron Paul is nutjob and they would all say that out of republican candidates Mitt Romney is really the smartest and there would be a Blue Republican movement which supports Tim Pawlenty because he actually is better Obama-hawk than Obama himself?

It is a cultural revolution which happens little by little and some times it just needs one comment of somebody who you admire. This happened to me when I read that one of comedy heros, that is, Doug Stanhope, said that he is supporting Ron Paul. First I was completely perplexed: "What the F? How can Stanhope support a republican? Aren't all republicans redneck war-lovers?" Well, then I check out Ron Paul and rest is history.

So thanks so much Mr. Stanhope!

read below.

what i have problem with is the constant all-is-well, everybody-will-have-a-happy-ending unrealistic approach, which quite frankly isn't going to get anything done.

talk about missing the point.

I read your comment and I

I read your comment and I still maintain that you are missing the point.

World is much more complex in a sense that SO MANY things effect how Ron Paul will win 2012. Very big thing is what you wrote about and I agree with you that this campaign will be and has to be much more serious than 2008 if it wants to succeed, but at the same time every positive comment is important and more often they are repeated the better. This is also how the negative media against Ron Paul works as you must know the famous Goebbels quotation about repeating the lie enough often and people start to believe it: "Ron Paul is crazy....., Ron Paul cannot win...".

"Air is the very substance of our freedom, the substance of superhuman joy....aerial joy is freedom."--Gaston Bachelard--

everybody already knows ron is a good person. he was known as such even before you followed him. it's not what he needs. 'the nice guy that never wins' and guess what, there is only so much room for sticky label, in fact, only room for one. you keep tagging him this image, it is hard for one different, efficient (<--word) label to be tagged on.

Sorry to tell you, but still

Sorry to tell you, but still it seems that you don't get the point.

I have never said that making and posting this kind of videos will alone make Ron Paul win the republican nomination or later the general election. Of course not. But at the same time these videos play a certain role in campaigning. As I already wrote the process is very complex and how different things effect each other is very difficult to say.

Hard campaigning on ISSUES as you point out is of course VERY important and without it nothing happens. And what is most important is that we have the facts on our side and without understanding the issues and Ron Paul's understanding of them nothing good happens. And without hard work nothing happens either. But still...

But at the same time you never know what happens with these videos or some other videos. There are so many different ways how people have found Ron Paul or liberty message. And as is said in religious context there is many ways to God and some way which leads other people to the Ultimate Reality does not fit for others and so is with Ron Paul or with liberty message.

BTW: not everybody knows that Ron is a good person; there are people who still think that he is homophobe, racist, sexist, etc. Just read some Lefty comments section and in right wing sites you get other labels to RP which are of course also as distorted, but in different ways. But that's not the point. And other thing how in the world am I tagging RP this 'nice guy that never wins' image?

I don't also know how long I should have to follow RP to understand something about this. I have read Daily Paul daily from the beginning of 2008.

"Air is the very substance of our freedom, the substance of superhuman joy....aerial joy is freedom."--Gaston Bachelard--

meaningless if not verbally confessed

maher has (and only over other republicans). the rest has not. why rely on shaky self imaginary endorsements only to turn around constantly "feel betrayed" then feel the need to vent here about how this whole world is mean to you.. just grow up and see endorsement from MSM figures as it is--meaningless. we don't need the airy, easy-going, grandpa-ish image this time around.. his name recognition is 70% and it's time to take the gloves off.. he's in it to win. no more happy, hipster light-headed crap for liberals pls.. this year is all about the issues, not personal ass kissing crap
