Google+ Hangout for Daily PaulSubmitted by joey33 on Mon, 07/18/2011 - 02:15
Google+ has a video chat feature called hangouts. It allows up to 10 people video chat at the same time. The way Google has implemented video is, in my opinion, better than anyone has in the past.
During the 2008 election, I ran a site called RonPaulVoices.com. The idea was that people could come together to talk over the internet (using their actual voices instead of text) to discuss Ron Paul and politics in general. It was tough to use but interesting to see the difference that the medium of communication made in the quality of the conversations. Here's a video recording I made of our past conversations on RonPaulVoices: http://goo.gl/80rwx
After seeing the hangouts feature in Google+, I started thinking...what if we had hangouts for people who wanted to discuss Ron Paul and other issues?
If this sounds interesting to you, try out Google+ for yourself. It is currently in field trial but I have invites as I am sure others here on Daily Paul do as well. Let me know if you're interested and just message me with your email address. Make sure NOT to put your email in the comments unless you don't mind other people having it.
If you already have Google+, here's my profile page: http://goo.gl/KrFAi
Side note: I've been using Google+ and it is amazing for social networking. I like the fact that you create different "circles" or groups of people that you can communicate to in different ways. On Facebook, when you post something, everyone in your friends list sees it. On Google+, you specify which circles can see what you've shared.
