Rally in front of White House

I thinks its time for a rally in front of the White House. Lets take the fight right to ground zero. Imagine 5000+ RP supporters chanting FREEDOM! FREEDOM! in front of the White House! Then a march over to the National Archives to view the Constitution and Bill of Rights. 5000 RP supporters filling through the National Archives. Then a march over to the Capital! Media coverage is a certain.
Let support the folks working hard in Iowa and New Hamphire. Its a "boots on the ground" in DC.

EVeryone (IMHO) should watch this movie. It is 1 hour and 51 minutes long, and can not be watched in one sitting. A must see before this rally. This movie shows what is going on, compiled by an award-winning movie director (Trading Places, The Rose).Watch it, and all will probably see what maybe should be at the heart of this Grand March. I think its perfect.
I think that for Dr Paul supporters to start at the White House and then walk to the National Archives to walk single file past the Constitution and Declaration of Independence and then on to Capitol Hill makes perfect sense. (Maybe we could come up with our own little declaration to give to the bastards in those buildings, letting them know that what ever happens in this election we are not going to go away!) And I think that going door to door is important, but I also think that this may be a good way for people in the DC metro area to support those in New Hampshire who feel they may be wasting there vote if they vote for Dr Paul.

It's good to see the constructive ideas being suggested. I think the visual imagery of large numbers of people walking the path you described would be compelling even to the Old Media.

Why at the White House?
Sorry to be the naysayer, but I think it sends the wrong message. Why in front of the White House? Why is that "ground zero"? Who in the White House am I making my statement to, or trying to convince or impress? We're supposed to appeal to Bush & Cheney for freedom? You're kidding, right? Isn't the Ron Paul campaign about getting the White House OUT of our lives? Why would we want to rally at a place that has come to symbolize everything bad about where our country has gone?
When Ron Paul is in the White House, I'll gladly come for a rally. As long as it's the headquarters for American Fascism, I have no business there.
Have the rally at a place that's positive and uplifting...., a place that symbolizes something good about our movement.

May I suggest you get 5000 or even 50 people to pair up and knock on registared voters doors and hand out the AMAZING DVD.
Yes, just Download, Copy & Hand out the "Amazing DVD" (or scotch tape to the door handle). Make hundreds and hundreds of copies cheaply.

I would think that the 4th of January would be the best. If we do well in Ohio it gives us a chance to rally and pick up some more momentum for New Hampshire. If we come in lower than 4th then it will give us a chance to regroup and show everyone we're down but not out. I have a feeling that we will be in the news that day ether way and it would be our best chance to get some PR for the rally. Dc has a great metro that makes this kind of thing really easy, so it should be no problem to organize. The meetup groups here have about 500 members but there are are so many people in the area I would think that we could get people in the thousands to show up.

They have no choice.
The buildings on the suggested route are public buildings and "they" cannot stop a visit by "the public" during normal hours of operation.

DC, MD and VA Metro Meetups, Post info here
We need to organize, plan and execute a Rally in DC. The symbology and the back drop to the rally would be powerful imagery. Gather in front of (across the street of the south lawn) then march to the archives, visit the constitution, read it and the Bill of Rights. I have been to the National Archives and seeing the original documents is an awsome experience. I always make a joke about how the staff has to constantly clean the boot marks off the protective glass that encases them.
The TV image would be powerful. A long line of RP supporters walking quietly by to view these documents of our Founding. This is what we fight for, this is where the Revolution should go. The date could follow RP's success in New Hampshire. Most people are followers. We must lead.
Lets starting gathering up patriots. Who can build a website dedicated to the White House Rally? Lets get the ball rolling. On to DC!
