WHAT WE KNOW!
It is not what THEY KNOW that matters regarding Dr. Paul's electability - it is WHAT WE KNOW that they DON'T! If each and every one of us who posts on this site would contact 1/10 of the number of people that I have (not bragging, just insuring our futures), it is a done deal as to Dr. Paul sitting in the Oval Office! There are opportunities all around us on a daily basis to speak for Dr. Paul, i.e. telephone conversations, e-mails, grocery store shopping (never go anywhere without your Ron Paul button), gas stations, restaurants, signs at all your friends' houses as well as your own. I find 99% of the people I engage in conversation regarding Dr. Paul to be totally receptive AND GRATEFUL! After every negative on Dr. Paul, it motivates me to be more vigilant to educate everyone I can as to the necessity for them to vote Dr. Paul into the White House. WE ARE WINNING! STAY FOCUSED, PAULITES!

Why?
Honestly, folks why are they saying this over and over again? There has to be a reason.
Before I continue, it is important to confirm that John Edwards has been screwed by the media and Thompson hasn't gotten much either. Now neither of these men stand out enough to get much attention but, Hillary and Rudy were hammered with coverage for months. It's funny isn't it? They are both hanging on for dear life. 10X what the doc has got and they might very well lose.
The media business has consolidated in the last 30 years. Newspapers and TV stations have come under the ownership of about 5 different people. This is not a conspiracy theory, it is public information. When JFK ran against Nixon the majority of the media was owned by about 40 different individuals. From 40 then to 5 now. The "five" are a pretty closely knit group. Look up who they are, Look up who they donate to and watch how they instruct their employees behave in print and on the airwaves.
YOU HAVE TO INCLUDE WHAT I AM SAYING HERE WHENEVER YOU BRING UP THE MEDIA IN THIS CAMPAIGN.
You will be rewarded with nothing but frustration if you apply some kind of rational approach to what is happening to Dr. Paul in the media.
Frankly, I think it is miracle number 2 and this is why. NOBODY TAKES THE DAY OFF. If we we polling 28% and others were dropping out, the doc already had his presidential bullet proof limo picked out, Carol already had the curtain people up to the White house, we'd all be taking the day off, the week off...we'd be snoozing.
So what is happening now? WE KICK THE SPIT OUT OF THE FUNDRAISING RECORD, WE DO SIGN WAVES IN THE RAIN, WE OWN THE DAMN INTERNET. Anybody looks crooked at the doc and we are on them like a cheap suit. There are five Neil Cavuto Youtubes. There are ten professionally written articles on 20 websites icing the guy.
WE ARE VIGILANT, WE ARE DRIVEN, WE RELISH THE WAY THESE THREE CENT LACKEYS GIVE US NO DAMN RESPECT AND WE WILL PROVE THEM WRONG.

You'd think we'd just give up and go back to apathy. The media in the United States has done the exact opposite of their intention. Rather than making us go away, they made us stronger. We are a ridiculously diverse group of people. There would be no hope of keeping us together. if it weren't for the GD media screwing us to the wall at every opportunity. You got millionaires who went to Harvard and voted for Bush and Nixon standing next to socialists in the snow screaming and waving plastic signs.
Everyone this stuff just doesn't happen. The left and the right are unified with the center and they are unified with rage at the machine.
People think faster and better when they are up against the wall and the media that you are worrying about is doing just what we need them to do.
They are making sure that we want it more than they do...and we do.

Actually, the entire issue can be summed up by understanding that pundits, reporters, editors, et al, all live in a "bubble" of like-minded people and not necessarily the larger society. In their world, everything boils down to a simple left-right paradigm and anything that doesn't fit into this simplistic 1D model just "doesn't compute."
The problem with that is that the world isn't a 1D entity, we have multiple dimensions.
Further, they can't see the people who have been so depressed by the choice of bad vs bad that they have given up on the political process altogether. THAT is where a huge amount of the Paul support comes from, and is not necessarily even understood by these "politcal professionals."

They're Stupid, not malicious
They are front runners and suck ups. This idea that they are being told what to do is silly. At best, the people that own the media outlets hire sycophants and toadies.
I think many of the MSM like the trappings of power, the gala dinners at the Kennedy center, etc. and so they are like house slaves, that protect the system to serve their own meager ends.

I worry about the vote counting, because
even early on in Iowa, the Iowa GOP wanted to distance themselves from Ron Paul. That's not a good scenario, having to keep a wary eye on your "own" party, in addition to media neocons. If the Ron Paul network could somehow isolate 3 or 4 voting areas whereby the Paul voters are absolutely accounted for, and verified, then the results could be compared with the "reported" official results. Without some verifiable way to compare the official results, I don't see how we could ever question the results. Of course, the selected polling places would need to be somewhate hushed so as to not tip our hand.

Yes, they know something we don't know
They know that if you say something often enough, you will influence a certain segment of society. They know that "words create" whether they think of it that way or not. Let's just make sure the segment of society that they influence is NOT the segment that supports Dr. Ron Paul. We think for ourselves. We do not allow them to put thoughts into our heads. We will not be discouraged as they want us to be. We will continue to press forward and not allow them to influence us. There is no way they KNOW that except by dumbing us down. Don't allow it. Don't be dumbed down. They will continue this tactic until they have to start directly attacking him when they realize this has not worked. It is another of their ploys. Will it work? Will you allow it to work? Not me.

Who are they & do we care what they say????????? I don't. The pundidiots I've see-----William " Dan Quayle's Brain" Kristol; Jeffrey " the moron" Toobin; George " where are my shoe lifts " Stehanopoulis ( sp?) , and others--who cares? What counts is Ron Paul supporters getting involved in this years political process---becoming delegates, etc. Watching the vote & of course, getting out and voting. Lets just stay focused on what is important. Getting Dr. Paul into the White House!!!
This is all part and parcel of getting Ron Paul Elected,
because unless every vote is counted and counted correctly, everything we are doing, all the money we are donating will be for nothing.

I am deeply disturbed when you do not feel that this is much bigger than the elections. Suppose he looses, the knowledge that been divulged, awareness of the real issues, the truth. This is just the beginning of a much bigger global awareness of what the "most powerful man of this planet", is doing for/to it's People. I am ashamed.

We just do not know. Remember, we had around 60,000 donations. Compared to the voting public, of millions, we could come up short in a legal election, to say the least. If we do not have our votes tabulated and reported by hand, great voter turnout for RP and correct number of delegates gained in each state, we lose pure and simple. Last I heard he didn't even get on the ballot in Ohio. Not sure what's happening there...
Sorry, but you are mistaken, we have
approximately 128,000 donors for this quarter alone. And you can't just go by the number of people donating, because thanks to what's happening to our country, many people are not in a position to donate. But will be able to vote.
And as far as Ohio goes, don't they have a past history of election fraud?

They know the details of how their media empire will fail when Paul gets elected.
They know that that they are lying.
They know that their efforts to marginalize Ron Paul have prevented him from getting a full 90% of the vote
They know that they have controlled elections in the past by using the "wasted vote" myth.
What they don't know....that is what counts.
They are putting on a show in the ballroom of a sinking ship.
Paper Trail
The key is to have a verifiable paper trail. I think the computer machines are fine, and they offer good benefits as long as there is a paper trail. In fact, I think they can make the process even more accurate. Consider the following procedure, which all voting machines should follow.
1) A person selects their votes via the computer interface and clicks "Print".
2) The machine produces a print out with their votes clearly labeled.
3) The voter confirms that the print out is accurate and clicks "Submit" to actually send the vote.
4) The voter turns in the print out just like current paper ballots. This paper trail is stored for possible audits and hand recounts.
Notice that in this process, the voter is able to confirm that their votes were properly placed -- no hanging chads or improperly filled ovals. This is where I think electronic machines could be a boon... except for the fact that they skip everything past step 1.
We should demand a verifiable paper trail to this process to ensure that every vote is counted properly.

As I have mentioned before, the votes are electronically transfered---NOT to a government agency, but to the Associated Press office, where they are "tabulated". The NCEL lawsuit has requested an injunction that the primaries NOT be held until the lawsuit is heard. It went into the cours last week.

Why should we trust the media to tabulate the votes
when we don't trust them to properly report the news?

they don't relize how big Ron Paul support in Iowa really is, I believe it's drasticly larger than they relize.
Maybe the history of young/first-time voters
that don't actually turn out to vote. Winning every internet poll doesn't mean squat if RP supporters don't turn out in number (especially in the early states).
The MSM will have a field day if RP doesn't surprise on the upside in the early going. That's my fear anyway, waking up on January 4th to a drudge headline of: "Internet popularity doesn't translate into votes, Ron Paul supporters a no-show in Iowa".
