I am truley blown away by this, what about government is not a lie??? Fire them all and start over!!!!! I am in total awe, what a disappointment when I didnt think I could be any more disappointed by government.

We have not had a pay raise in six years. The state judges and DPS have had raises but not the rest of us. This is amazing. Thank you for the information.

If all this is true, everyone needs to know about this. Most people haven't a clue about it.

Now that we know this information, what should we do? I think we should create an army of non-violents and march on washington and on our state governments and do everything a real army would do to stay supplied and have communication. We could camp out inside the offices of elected officials and never leave until these innumerable wrongs are righted. It would no doubt take a lot of courage, discipline, and perserverance to say the least but it is possible. Unless, we the people, organize and take matters into our own hands, we will only see marginal results from politicians even Ron Paul.

Have you noticed that it is we the people who have organized around Ron Paul, and it is we the people who are responsible for the money bombs and the blimp? Sure if Ron Paul gets elected it would be great and I fully support that cause, but it ain't Ron Paul alone who is going to right all the wrongs, it is us!!! We have some major power going on here between us and if that can be effectively utilized we could facilitate some very serious changes in this country.

It is now we the people who need to rally around these other causes such as the surpluses. I propose we setup a site and try to build some kind of super mega organized community/people's non-violent army and march on Washington and the Fed and the State capitols during the most opportune times. We must however be fully committed to non-violence and I have a hard time believing some of you out there would be able to meet such a high-demand. This is our only hope. Who is with me, who supports this idea? It's similar to protesting but we will be an army of protesters who will never leave the fight to go home until these wrongs are righted. This is how Gandhi gained independence from the British and this is how WE THE PEOPLE will gain independence from UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, INC.

I read my state's CAFR years ago when Walter Burien first reported on them.
A lot of these government owned assets are nothing more than paper if the economy collapses, many are funded by derivative based investments in the mortgage industry.
Many states may be busted after the crisis peaks.

They had approximately 53.3 Billion dollars in surplus money for fiscal year 2006. My jaw hit the floor.

Yep I have been telling people for year there is two sets of books and a gravey train they use to buy off any new politicians that get elected.

Some accountant in New Jersey years ago ran the numbers on all the visible revenues via taxes fees permits etc. NJ takes in as opposed to their spending and the surplus was staggering and he asked where the rest of the money was going. He also said to imagine how much more there is in the federal government. However few cared and nothing ever really came of it.

Why do you think every politician who goes to Washington and says they are going to change it just assimilates into the group and we never hear any more about how they will change Washington. Ron Paul is the exception but he has been the lone voice in the wilderness for years.
