Walter Williams for Vice President

I LOVE ME SOME WALTER .. he is great at debates and will calm all the damn race nonsense.. and he will blow out the competition, but I doubt he would even run.

BTW.. Paul actually said in 2007 that he would love to have Williams as Vice PResident so that isn't the issue. Im just not sure he would run.

VP selection criteria, IMO

Walter Williams is also my first choice for VP, and I do hope he'd consider it if asked.

On my list of criteria for VP selection there is one test that is number one with a bullet (pun intended) on my list - SOMEBODY WHO WON'T GET DR. PAUL KILLED!!!!! All other sorting crteria only apply to those who seem to me to pass that first most important test.

To understand the concern we need only look to Ronald Reagan with GHWB as VP and how long into his term it took for him to be nearly killed and almost completely shoved aside.

All I care about for VP is somebody they can't buy and would NEVER want more than Dr. Paul. Considering a wall streeter or mainstream GOP personality as a veep is literal suicide for Dr. Paul and would seriously hurt the cause in the long term.

You think he'd live even a month in office with Romney as VP?

IMO, it would HAVE to be someone of like mind and resolve, and who the MSM may fear worse than Dr. Paul in the event the VP had to assume the presidency before Jan. 2021.

I think they differ on Foreign Policy

Im pretty sure Walter is an interventionist.. Other than that, I do like him. He's spot on with just about everything else..

Secretary of the Treasury

Dr. Williams would make an excellent Secretary of the Treasury. Help guiding monetary policy away from the dying / corrupt Fed. Privatizing assets such as the TVA, etc. in a public / open auction, Dutch auction, public stock sales, etc., again in any (or all) open free market venue :^)

I'd prefer Judge Napolitano.

Walter Williams is an excellent educator, columnist, and radio host, but despite his appearances on Rush Limbaugh, I think he has less media visibility than Judge Napolitano. Napolitano is an up-and-coming celebrity; his media stock is going up.

Also, in the way of a prospective running mate, I think Ron Paul would need someone who is simpatico, but has a different style and reaches a different audience. Walter Williams is more blunt than Ron Paul, but he nonetheless leans on humor and allegory, and I feel at this stage of the game, something more on the par of a firebrand who channels voter anger is needed.

SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States

I like them both.

Walther Williams has the same strength as Ron Paul in economics; the Judge is more broadly schooled in Constitutional matters. Both are articulate and likeable as well as grounded in libertarian principles. They do have almost opposite energy levels, with Williams being so calm and the Judge coming across as more energetic.

I think that Judge Napolitano would be a great Supreme Court Justice and would personally prefer to see him in that role instead of VP.

Definitely a good idea to think about

I almost wrote 'too bad he's black' and loled. I mean people may think Ron chose him just because he's black because that has become 'fashionable', but they only have to look at Ron's shoes to see how much fashion enters into his equations...

I like Walter Williams, too.

Oh yeah ... this guy!

I read Lew Rockwell.com almost every day. I read articles based on subject matter and title, often not noting who wrote it until I reach the bottom.

Can't count how many time I reached the end of the article - impressed or enlightened - and it was Walter Williams that wrote it.

He is always right on point.. This is a wise man and philosophically dead on target for sure.

I seen him on freedom watch

I seen him on freedom watch one day I think. Thanks for the heads up, another wise man being ignored by the mainstream it seems. I'm down for Paul-Williams ticket.

It would be the Paul-Williams

It would be the Paul-Williams ticket!! WOW What a name.. and with Williams in there all the race crap would stop about Paul, BUT also about Republicans being only whites..

AGREED!!!

I love Walter E. Williams.

That guy GETS it. He is an Economics Professor at George Mason.

He is one of the very FEW CORRECT Economics professors out there.

The field of Economics is littered with bastard Socialists/Communists like Paul Krugman.

Let's remember, Dr. Paul was considering Walter in 2008 as a running mate if he would have ever gotten that far.

I tried to interest him in running

leading up to the 1992 election but he was steadfastly opposed to the idea. His love is teaching. He's said many times that on the day he dies he hopes he will have taught.

I never even heard of Walter..

He also guest-hosts the Rush L show

so he has that sort of exposure nationally among the Rush crowd.

He is another Ron Paul, but

He is another Ron Paul, but in many ways a better debater and he has been at it as long as Paul. he has a lot of older educational videos on youtube. He was part of Milton Friedman debate He is a professor of economics at George Mason Uni.

And he is a straight shooter... no-non-sense type of guy..
