Lol! Yeah talk about getting a sudden instant family growth!

Welcome home!

It's a great feeling waking up.

Everything starts to make sense and you can see clearly. I still remember the feeling, because it was only a few years ago for me.

But, oh my, the things you will learn...

Welcome home

Welcome home

I will tell you,

I am 42 years old. I used to vote a long time ago. But it seemed all the people I voted for soon forgot us after the and did thing that benefited him or his people. So, I just stopped. I dropped out of reading, or having anything to do with it. I just put my head in the sand saying they don't care about any of us and I am to sensitive to this I would probably just have a heart attack watching what they did after the election. So I just didn't get involved. If anyone asked me about politics, I just said they are all crooks and don't deserve my attention. So last election Some said something about Obama. I said the same old thing, He's a crook. He said look, don't go in with preconceived notions, just watch. So I did, and I was listening, but it had the same feeling of yesteryear and I said so, My friend tried to convince me. I said if I am wrong I will say that I am, But I want to see him do the things he said he would, and if they don't work I want to see him take responsibly for it, That would impress me. Well long story short, He didn't. So along comes another Friend of mine Asked me how I felt about our current president and if I am In joying all the wonderful things he promised, so I said ALL Politicians are crooks. And again I heard "Not all of them" at this point I got mad Screaming "Look I have been on this earth for 42 years I have heart broken before I am not going to hope, trust another Human being with that much power and Self Interest. You believe, you hope, for me I am DONE !" He said he believed me and That he know that I have had enough with all politics, So has has Ron Paul. And I thought Oh-Boy hear we go. He said don't believe, it ok because you have been given every reason to, Just as my friend Just research Ron Paul. Look at him he's congressman, (Great a career Politician) Just look at his record. I said I would so I did. Now I am not saying that I am Convinced but Ron Paul have really caught my attention. His record stands for it self, for 30 YEARS !!! Principle is unheard of in Politics ! He stood to his beliefs against all others at times. 30 YEARS of not going to the dark side, and stood his ground. HUMBLE to all ends. I couldn't help my self I started to hope again. I kept reading and going to you tube My obama friend said that he was a nut Job, and did a lot of the others that I know that voted before and was Skip to do da Daying to their spiel. It was then I felt that he might be truthful about what he was saying. Sound Money made to much sense to them. Going back to with the confines of the constitution witch is where my heart was, and is. But what he was saying about actually talking to our enemies and finding out why they hate us, was the thing that convinced me the most. The people in Washington didn't want even to consider it. They are Evil and that is that. Spread your cheeks, and insert head until you hear the pop. I keep watching Video on Ron Paul and I have been in Love (I am NOT Gay) with this Politician. I believe if he is true to his words, he is the best Person for the Job.

yes! we ARE growing!

this news....is so very refreshing to me. we are not alone, even if we are isolated in our hometowns, [like I am]
they are out there, and I will find them!

We Need The News to at least COVER the Margin!!!

Remember a few months back when Scarborough had some Ron Paul fans bombard him with requests to give credit where credit is due?!

We need everyone on the Daily Paul and Ron Paul fans alike to leave comments, send emails, to Foxm CNN, MSNBC and DEMAND that thgey accurately and fairly cover the news.

We have done it before, let's do it again.

The LOUDER we get, the less they can ignore us!

The fact that the margin between Bachmann and Paul was less than 1%, about 400 votes really, shows the people are waking up!

It was 152 Votes. :)

Only `152, LOL a Statistic tie I believe they would call it, If it was anyone else

152 votes ONLY

152 votes ONLY

Perhaps the closeness of the

Perhaps the closeness of the vote will shock some into their "moment of clarity".

Here’s one perspective on the straw poll:

Tea Partiers (as perceived, if not true blue fiscal conservatives)

Michelle Bachman 28% Ron Paul 27%
Herman Cain 8% Rick Perry 4%
Total of 67%

Tim Pawlenty 13% Rick Santorum 9%
Mitt Romney 3% Newt Gingrich 2%
Total of 27%

(These totals don’t add up to 100% because of rounding and candidates with less than 1% and the “scattering” figure.)

So 67% of the votes endorsed the Ron Paul position broadly speaking….

Now Compare to 2007 Ames Straw Poll

Place Candidate Votes Percentage
1 Mitt Romney 4,516 31.6%
2 Mike Huckabee 2,587 18.1%
3 Sam Brownback 2,192 15.3%
4 Tom Tancredo 1,961 13.7%
5 Ron Paul 1,305 9.1%
6 Tommy Thompson 1,039 7.3%
7 Fred Thompson 203 1.4%
8 Rudy Giuliani 183 1.3%
9 Duncan Hunter 174 1.2%
10 John McCain 101 0.7%
11 John H. Cox 41 0.3%
Total 14,302 100%

Ron Paul the only TEA Partier and so only 9%.

So, 9% in 2007 to 67% in 2011 calling for less spending. Looks like real progress.

Rick Perry tea party?

Actually Rick Perry isn't apart of the Tea Party. He ran against Debra Medina who was the Tea Party candidate. She got lots of votes even though no one heard of her before.

Edited: "Never mind ..."

(I was objecting to Cain, a past chairman of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and an opponent of auditing the Fed, being characterized as a tea partier. But while he may be part of the financial establishment he's still an outsider with the political establishment.)

= = = =
"Obama’s Economists: ‘Stimulus’ Has Cost $278,000 per Job."

That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.

To clarify

It's not *my* assessment that Cain or Perry are TEA Partiers. I'm saying that's the way the voters are seeing it. Notice the words "perceived" and "not true blue" in my post. I do realize Perry is another George Bush and Cain supports the FED. But Cain speaks at Tea Party events and identifies himself that way and the voters fall for it; likewise with Perry (if you want to say not in Texas well certainly the rest of the country.) Your beef isn't with me; it's with the voters' perceptions.

Cain is the last thing from outsider.

You got it right the first time.

michele bachmann winning(and

michele bachmann winning(and ron paul coming in just a few votes behind) is evidence of a huge ideological change. not to equate her with ron paul, but it's clear, her views are much different than those of mitt romney(the winner last time around).

How different than Romney on:

Income Tax, economic know how, Patriot Act, Nanny state, Federal Reserve, decline of the dollar, root of middle east war, terrorism root, solution to entitlement, SSS, CIA, department of education, legislating morality, drug war, entangling alliances, UN and NATO, energy subsidies,...?

Yeah, like working for the IRS

and being their attorney. Bachmann is slime.

I HAVE to thank Michael and the mods for the informative

striking front page you have here with the Ames' graph and youtubes.

It is also remarkable how you managed to keep the site up & running all through the heavy traffic yesterday. Kudos to your tech-skills and commitment.

agreed/loved the colors

was saying yesterday how I liked it that the bar graph colors matched the supporter's tshirts...red for RP, green for TPaw, orange for Cain...

This is good...

Now their excuse that the poll is irrelevant can't be said.

Keep looking forward...

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

Establishment moves Pawlenty out, Perry in.

The media was really giving Pawlenty a disproportionate amount of coverage - propping him up, along with Romney and Bachmann. Why were they doing that? They finally realized he wasn't sticking, so they're moving the next minion in with full force.

Look at Rick Perry receiving more coverage than any other candidate, and skyrocketing past all other candidates in searches - probably the plan all along.

Pawlenty drops out

And the unproven Perry drops

And the unproven Perry drops in... and the fools follow.

Perry will be the next President

He's a Bilderberger just like Bill Clinton was. The elites will support him. He's their guy.

Give it time.

Unlike Palin, he won't remain a mysterious stranger who can easily sweep people off their feet after he opens his mouth.

Sure hope you're right but...

...neither could Bush but he was their guy. And now we're supposed to believe Bachmann is the "anti-establishment" candidate, and it appears so far that many people are buying that too. We'll see but...

POLITICO Breaking News

Tim Pawlenty, the former Minnesota governor, told supporters on a conference call moments ago that he will announce on ABC's "This Week" that he is bringing his campaign to an end after a disappointing finish Saturday in the Iowa straw poll, a Republican official told POLITICO.

I watched all MSM broadcasts

ABC, NBC, CBS ,Fox News Sunday- There was literally two sentences said about Ron Paul in all those shows. There was no coverage at all about Paul who came in 1% below Bachmann who is an Iowa native. I was so so disgusted and angry. These commentators are literal turds. They are the establishment. I'm sure glad Ron Paul's a real gentleman, he's put up with this crap his entire political career and not lost his cool. Me? I'd punch these people out if I had the chance.
