FBI Lists Purchase of Preparedness Items as “Potential Indicators of Terrorist Activities”

Oath Keepers Exclusive: An FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force handout being distributed to Colorado military surplus store owners lists the purchase of popular preparedness items and firearms accessories as “suspicious” and “potential indicators of terrorist activities,” instructing store owners to keep records on and report people who:

“Make bulk purchase of items to include:

Weatherproofed ammunition or match containers

Meals Ready to Eat

Night Vision Devices; night flashlights; gas masks

High capacity magazines

Bi-pods or tri-pods for rifles”

The FBI handout, entitled “Communities Against Terrorism: Potential Indicators of Terrorist Activities Related to Military Surplus Stores” also instructs surplus store owners to:

“Require valid ID from all new customers.

Keep records of purchases.

Talk to customers, ask questions, and

listen to and observe their responses.

Watch for people and actions that are out of place.

Make note of suspicious statements, people, and /or vehicles.

If something seems wrong, notify law enforcement authorities.”

The handout also instructs surplus store owners to consider as “suspicious” anyone who “demands identity ‘privacy’” or anyone who expresses “extreme religious statements” and those who “make suspicious comments regarding anti-US, [or] radical theology.”

The “Communities Against Terrorism” flyer closes by stating:

Preventing terrorism is a community effort. By learning what to look for, you can make a positive contribution in the fight against terrorism. The partnership between the community and law enforcement is essential to the success of anti -terrorism efforts.

THIS is what Ron was railing

THIS is what Ron was railing against in his immigration statements, about the government trying to turn small-business people into policemen. Did I pay for that crap?

This is the classic

"role-swapping" game.

They claim to be the "good guys", and act like they are looking for the terrorists.

Let's face it folks, who's terrorizing who?
Is anybody you know locking down airports and squeezing granny's titties and sticking their hands down junior's shorts? No, but Federal Law Enforcement does it.

Do you know anybody who enters bus terminals with guns and searches everybody and everything on the buses, like Nazi thugs? No, but Federal Law Enforcement does it.

Are you aware of anybody who busts into innocent organic food stores and seizes all the store products and holds all the workers and owners hostage? No, but Federal Law Enforement does it.

Is anyone in your town able to kidnap people and put them into prison without any communication or habeas corpus, and torture them indefinitely without even a charge or a trial?
No, but Federal Law Enforcement does it.

Is there anyone you know who is tapping and surveilling virtually everyone in the US, on a daily basis, and filling up dossiers on everybody. No, but Federal Law Enforcement does it.

The list could go on for pages.

Let's face it folks. The "terrorists" are Federal Law Enforcement. Even a toddler could recognize it.
If they want to find the "terrorists", all they need to do is look in the mirror.

I like how "night flashlight"

I like how "night flashlight" is listed as a terrorist item. As opposed, I suppose, to the kind of flashlight you'd use in broad daylight.

Yeah, that got me too!

ha! So ridiculous!

Thank you for your reply, Republicae!

I have always valued your input.

Would you please elaborate?

We always have a lot to learn from you.

Not much to elaborate upon,

Not much to elaborate upon, the fact is that based upon the track record of government agencies, not only of our own government, but of other governments as well, they all suffer from a high degree of bureaucratic ineptitude that naturally occurs when government involves itself in a policy that cannot be completely enforced upon a large population, the mathematical statistics of government being able to protect us from a lone terrorist are extremely remote, given, in particular, the methodology they employ.

Sure, they may "luck-up" from time to time, but the odds are against actual effective intel either being available or being properly interpreted. Additionally, given the methods of this latest push to gather information on people that make certain purchases, it sounds like their cover story conceals the actual intent of the program they are putting in place, that being to gather as much information as possible, not on potential terrorist, but on those of us who are awake enough to realize that we are in the stages of a complete collapse of the monetary and economic structure of this country, not to mention that we are awake to the social and political consequences of such a collapse.

Take for instance, the TSA, the whole agency is basically an exercise in futility and in fact, its purpose apparently has little to do with actually "catching" terrorist and more to do with methods of social controls over the population. Just take a look at the actual background of your average TSA agent, that is truly a shocker, for it the purpose was to actually prevent or protect the flying public from terrorists, then the qualifications for the position would be far more stringent and the people they actually hire much more qualified to do the job. This government is far more concerned with the People of this country than actual terrorist, for once there is a break-down in the social order it will be the People, not terrorists, that this government or its remnants, will fear the most.

Once again, Republicae,

a very eloquent comment.

Thank you.

I tried bringing some shaving

I tried bringing some shaving cream on a plane, and they thought it was a terrorist item. Just saying..

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Yup, the TSA Gestapo stole

Yup, the TSA Gestapo stole both my shaving cream *and* my toothpaste. Terrorist items both.

merciful heavens!

This is ridiculous--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

The are always casting bigger and bigger nets for "terrorists."

It's the $PLC's wet dream.

It's the $PLC's wet dream. (They work hand in glove with the fusion centers.) Every white conservative with a gun is a probable "terrorist" in their book.

Decreasing ones dependence on

Decreasing ones dependence on the oppressors, increases the probability that one will engage in undermining them in the future, which is the terrorism definition these guys seem to be using.

The oppressors prefer pliable underlings, not well prepared survivors perfectly aware that they wold be much better off if the entire government was simply washed into the sea.

In typical progressive fashion, the only thing these monkeys are achieving, is making the term "terrorist" somewhat of a badge of honor.

FBI asks surplus stores to snitch

So the government has all kinds of information on how to be prepared for various emergencies but if you follow the advice and stock up you will be scrutinized as a potential terrorist? I think that would be called "entrapment'

Ready.gov

On one hand, the gov't tells you to go to Ready.gov and be prepared for emergencies. In fact the website lists waterproof matches as an item to include. On the other hand, the FBI tells them to report you as a terrorist.
