We owe so much to this one man...Submitted by wpsmithjr on Sun, 08/14/2011 - 04:53
I'm not into hero worship or anything like that, but think about it for a minute...
Where would the cause for liberty be without Dr. Paul? And is there really a more important cause? No matter what problems we encounter as a nation, "We the People" should be free to solve them.
It's one thing to talk the talk... but he walks the walk as well. Think about all the perks, the special favors, the government-paid junkets, the special interest money, the lucrative pension... they all get corrupted at one point or another.
Not Dr. Ron Paul.
We're dumbed down by the education system, brainwashed by the media, corrupted from the day we're born into a system of debt and servitude to the powers that be...
...and yet, somehow we still know the truth when we hear it.
And this one man... out of hundreds of millions... gets up and actually speaks the truth. He doesn't care what you think about him or his ideas. He doesn't care if you like him. He doesn't pander to get your vote. He has endured 30+ years of snickering and outright laughter at his beliefs. He's been called a nutcase, a kook, an extremist, and a racist.
He might be the only person out of 545 people who disagrees. But he'll still tell you he disagrees... and why.
Ron Paul is a rare individual. Not only for standing up for his principles, but for doing so when he is surrounded by greed and corruption. Whether he ever gets elected to be our president or not, he's the only man who has ever really deserved the title.
Ron Paul is a hero.
Bump or comment if you agree.
