Hey guys and gals, I talked to Kos and said I would like to join your website BUT as a Ron Paul supporter and listed my reasons why I wanted to bring up Ron Paul and his issues... I specifically mentioned I would like to play Devils Advocate for Ron Paul...
And, he agreed.... So tonight, My topic about Ron Paul has like ummmmm 130 hits so far... (a few supporters) but not many...
seems Ron Paul is not well liked... but they dont have any REASONS for not liking Ron Paul except he is a Republican...
So I am fighting right and left to try and convince them his issues are for everyone... Anyone who posts a nasty comment gets like 20 positives in a few minutes.... Anyone who says Ron Paul isnt all that bad gets none...
Anyway I am stirring the hornets nest right now.... its such fun!

Let me ask you this Mayberry..IF Hillary Clinton bloggers came to the Daily Paul and claimed to have been Republicans (because Devils.Advocate claims to have been a Democrat), and that they post a blogg stateing why they are no longer a Republican and Why they are supporting Hillary. Talk about a pro-Socialist/Communist bunch of idiots.
A few months back I was replying to a anti-Ron Paul 'diary' about how he is a racist based on a Houston Chronicle article that wasn't quoting him and my comments kept being deleted.
They can't take care of themselves and assume the government should do it for them. Those who are so hell-bent on a Socialist America need to read up on Nazi Germany. Those who are so hell-bent on a Communist America need to read up on Stalinist Russia. If they are so hell-bent they should just go to hell.
In addition:
I think negative comments from the far left is GOOD for Ron Paul.
It reassures me that he's doing something right.
All I can say is wow...
I just read an article entitled 'The overt racist in the GOP field' on that site.
The author, Kos himself, accuses Dr. Paul of being racist. I sent him an email asking him if it's racist to remove all advantages for any groups (race/faith/gender) and to provide an example of Dr. Paul discriminating against anyone with evidence to support it.
I'll post up his response if I get one.

When they throw out negative garbage, strike back with the POSITIVES - what Ron Paul says about the Fed & IRS, how he is the ONLY Congress member to: vote against the Iraq War, and against the Patriot Act, and calling for immediate withdrawal of troops not only from Iraq but from all over the world. (to the tune of saving hundreds of Billions of dollars each year)
Others have noted -- lots of people read Daily Kos but never post. Don't busy yourself (too much) responding to the trash, but instead make clear what Ron Paul stands for. Educate people, even if some don't like it!
Force them to deal with the issues, and they may even have to re-think why they support who they do - esp when comparing them to Ron Paul ON THE ISSUES.

...over to the daily kos and read all the posts. I'll tell ya what, I'm just ashamed I used to call myself a democrat after reading that trash over there. They are no better than the Neocon sites. What has our country come to? What the hell happened?
Ya know, I'm a Veteran, my husband is a Veteran, my son-in-law served in Iraq and got his leg hurt by an IED, my daughter is in right now (for the record, she doesn't know who she is supporting yet.) I sit here and just shake my head. My God!!, any objective, intelligent person can see that Ron Paul is our only choice.
Here is how I stripped off my democrat stripes. I sat one day and re-watched Aaron Russo's film and told myself I was just going to sit there as a human. That's it! Just a human. Then I went and did further research. Then I wrote to Ron Paul very early in the year and asked him to PLEASE run for president. He is our last hope. (I think he was still exploring when I wrote.)
We are disgusted here with what is happening in our country. We are seriously considering leaving if Ron Paul does not do well. Sit and think (I know I don't have to tell any of you) what is going to happen if Ron Paul doesn't win. It's truly horrific.
I've converted so many of my democrat friends, too many to list, to vote for Ron Paul. We are all going to our caucus and doing everything we can to get Ron Paul elected. People just don't understand how much trouble our country is in. They can't sit and just be a human for once. I have a little hope but not too much.
Ok, we are donating more money on Dec 31st. We have NEVER donated or got involved before. Good luck to us all. At least I'm getting through to my democrat friends and family. You want to see the people who are hurting (you daily kos lurkers?) You know, the ones Ron Paul is talking about? Look at your senior citizen parents! Ask them how much their social security checks are buying. Tell them it's just going to get worse. Ask them what their democrat candidates are going to do? They don't have a plan!!!! You can't fix the problem until you get at the root of it which is monetary policy. Ron Paul is the ONLY one who knows how to fix this. I get so frustrated.
One more thing, we were at the base the other day, we were talking with an old Veteran. He said he didn't know what happened to his country. We told him we totally understand!

I used to vote democrat as well and I am also ashamed to have been with democrat communities, although I rarely visited DKos. Group-think is so rich in those communities that Kucinich and Gravel supporters get mocked and such as well. Of course, republicans do that to Paul supporters too, but it appears that there is greater hostility within the democrat communities.
I stripped myself of democrat-leaning stripes several months ago when the democrat congress failed to live up to their promises (mainly Iraq).
Thank goodness Ron is running, otherwise I would not be voting at all this time around.

The STATED PURPOSE of Daily Kos is to elect Democrats. Period. Not to advance a "progressive" ideology, no, nothing so (ig)noble. Just to elect Democrats. Trying to fight a battle with a party-line organization, when your candidate is not a member of said party, is an exercise in futility. You CANNOT hope to win, or to even sway opinion. Much less get a fair fight.
That said, if you want to debate them, I'd suggest that you keep this in mind, always: the answer to ALL political questions is "individual rights." It solves all problems. There is nothing, NOT ONE SINGLE ISSUE, that cannot be resolved by applying the concept of individual rights, and upholding that concept via the rule of law.
With this truth on your side, there is no argument you cannot win -- even though you may appear to "lose," based on the "consensus," which is always the first word out of the mouths of those who hate the individual but love the state.

Perhaps we can agree that Ron Paul rEVOLutionites visiting Daily Kos to post their support for Ron Paul should RESPECT the fact they are in a happy hive of Democrat Worker Bees, thus we are INVADERS and that's offensive and stimulates aggression, which can't be good for the rEVOLution or campaign in that, would Dr. Paul go to Daily Kos? Seems to me that going to a site that is known to be against Ron Paul and causing them to post tons of negative comments about our wonderful candidate is not a good thing.. Just gets lots of negative vibrations going, which this campaign does not need.

Anyhow, You put together a very compelling list of reasons for Democrats to support Paul which should have prompted some intelligent discussion. Not to be picky but there are some typos. Other than that I really liked your post and even though you got very hostile responses, it served to highlight the mentality and personality of many people on that site. Now I am just wondering how people can ardently defend in the name of compassion social programs that help poor, underprivileged, minority, and other supposedly disadvantages groups and yet be so blatantly mean, biased, bigoted, patronizing, and exclusive.
