New Ad! Ron Paul is The One

From Politico:

EXCLUSIVE – RON PAUL’S NEW AD CALLS HIM “THE ONE”: Ron Paul is going on the air today in Iowa and New Hampshire with a commercial describing his three top Republican opponents -- Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann -- as "smooth-talking" career politicians. Paul's ad portrays him as the only true outsider in the race, citing his record of voting down tax hikes and debt ceiling increases. And it lumps Perry, Romney and Bachmann in the same category as President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, showing pictures of all six politicians, sometimes side by side, and contrasting them with Paul. The 60-second spot, produced by GOP ad man Jon Downs, is running with six figures behind it in New Hampshire and what the campaign calls a "substantial" sum in Iowa. It's Paul's second major broadcast buy of the campaign, and it comes after his strong second place showing last weekend at the Ames straw poll.

Time for a Stroll Down Memory Lane

I like the new ad but I believe a great need exist and voters out there to be reminded of the recent history of the Republican party as far as their "front-runner/ establishment" candidates are concerned. They're all Johnny-come-lately when it comes to being actual "conservatives".

I don't think I'd waste a significant amount of time on Romney. I think he'll be done long before the primaries are over (his record is too loud and it's screamin' big government love).

Taking a stroll down memory lane back to when Bush was running would greatly benefit our cause. He was as sincere about being "Mr. Conservative" back then as Rick Perry is about being "Mr. Small Government" now.

Oh, and regarding his amazing ability to create jobs, he's not exactly Mr Fix-it. He just kind of went with the flow on that one: http://www.npr.org/2011/08/17/139688463/texas-economy-growin...

I love this! - Very well done

Bravo to the campaign.

They are using my money wisely!

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

What happens when you don't have a balanced focus group

The ad is great except "the one".

Obama has already been critized repeatadly for this type of slogan for 4 years. It's clear that there was no representative focus group done before this ad was made, or that would have never have made it.

It would be perfect if you had got the comments you are getting here before you made it.

I wish "The One" brought controversy...

We could use all the PR we could handle, but it's not an issue as I was hoping it was going to be :(

How many of you guys kept

How many of you guys kept those red and blue signs "calling the GOP back to it's roots" and "Rally for the Republic" programs. I am having mine framed and so proud I was there. I have a Ron Paul 2008 sign that RP signed. I'm framing that too because all of this is a piece of history.

I emailed the campaign the

I emailed the campaign the other day suggesting that they create a Facebook event for the Birthday Money Bomb. And looks like they've done it!

I had thought they could invite everyone who likes Ron Paul on Facebook, but looks like they can't. The best they can do is publicize it.

Go here, click "I'm Attending" and invite everyone you know!! http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=197265100335690

Few points as to why this is important:

* Lets you quickly invite all your friends, so it can very quickly reach thousands of people
* Everyone who clicks "I'm Attending" will see the event pop-up on their Facebook page the day of the event, so they'll be reminded to do it on the day!
* Even if people don't invite their friends, their friends will see 'X is attending Ron Paul's Money Bomb'

Spread this event wide and far!

Not one mention of the constitution or the founding fathers.

It's been pretty well established that..

Ron Paul is all about the Constitution. Anyone who hears only one interview of him will know that. That's not the message we need to send mainstream right now. The message we need to send is.. Ron Paul CAN and WILL win. If he doesn't win the GOP nomination, Obama wins a 2nd term.

That message is strong enough to convert even the biggest neo-cons.

The one single thread that unites everyone in this nation....

...whether it is nominal only, in belief and not in practice or for real is the constitution and the revolution, and freedom.

I agree with everything else you say, but I'm sorry, the above needs mention and Ron Paul's name should be associated with those things in each and every message that ever touches a potential voter.

I am watching this Ad every morning!

This is even more motivational than Zig Ziglar!

What a great way to start the day!!!!!

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

4;30 AM

Can't fall back to sleep. But I have such a wonderful feeling in my heart that Ron Paul will win by a landslide this time. And that thought will make my day brighter.

I love liberty like fresh cool air in my lungs.I love freedom like fresh cool water on my tongue.I love peace like the smooth skin of my sweet lady. And Dr.Ron Paul is the hero I believe will change the world.

I'm in that commercial, and boy do I look stupid >_<

Look at the bottom right corner at about 41 seconds. I'm raising my arm. You can see me again at 53 seconds in. I'm in a white shirt with my head between the guy in the black hat and the bald guy in the lower right.

It was a good day, anyway. The commericial looks good too.

another epic ad.

Love what the campaign is doing these days. These are so different from the usual campaign ads, people must say " I wanna see that again!"

Peace, Freedom and Prosperity. Not War, Welfare and Bankruptcy.

Great Job

I thought the last one was good, but this one is even better. It really plays his record up, and that record is what made myself and a lot of others really pay attention to him. By the way, I know I'm kind of new here, but I've been a supporter since 2007. I just want to be more active this time around.

Welcome ...

I am new here myself. But the people here are great people. I think you will like them.

Thank you

I've been reading for a while, and the people do seem great.

I like this ad and the last

I like this ad and the last one a lot. The ads are so much different than the usual political campaign ads. It goes together perfectly with the fact that Ron Paul is so much different than the usual Presidential candidate.

I'm RealHarrySeaward on YouTube and @JayToTheDee on Twitter.

I went to vote on this poll. Notwithstanding the fact that Dr Paul is not doing so hot on this one (GET OUT AND VOTE!):

Did anyone notice the story on the page?

Michele Bachmann lied about attending family reunion, says her own mother:

You have to be kidding me. Really???

As of 8/16/11 8 pm PDT.

I think it has only been posted here for about 5 hours, so far.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

This ad is excellent!!

Bravo!!! Very well produced and outstanding quality! Good job!

I like this ad, especially

I like this ad, especially because it is aggressive without being negative. but I think the campaign has to tackle the rumors and the distortions of his positions head on. for instance, i think there needs to be one on foreign policy not just stating that we should bring the troops home but why this is important for our defense [this would be best if we could get vets to say this message, and even have it be aggressive, like 'are you gonna say i don't support the troops?'] another, could be about the slander saying that ron paul wants to legalize everything, ya know the whole prostitution/heroin crap, and be like this is the constitutional position and based in american federalism and be like this is what it means to be principled. another should be on the fed and inflation and it should be talking about how inflation is destroying the value of your money, is making prices higher, is a tax on the poor and middle class, and that no one, dem or repub, has fought the fed so consistently as ron paul.

About those distortions

I am so tired of hearing his positions intentionally misrepresented. I make sure to explain them to people I know, but the campaign is going to have to get the word out about some of this stuff. Having those "rabid supporters" is great. (I take pride in that title whenever I hear someone call us that.) We can bring a lot of people around, but I think a lot more are going to want to hear it straight from him. Plus, he needs to get a handle on this Iran issue or it very well could sink us. If all of other repubs are going to tear him apart over it, he needs to make them go on record with how they would stop Iran from getting nukes without setting off a world war. With the ties Iran has to China and China to Russia, and the amount of money we owe China, we can't just waltz into Iran like we did with Iraq. Iraq was a horrible idea, but that would be even worse.
