A little yeast...

works its way through the whole batch.

ALL the contributors of Reason have had their libertarian ideals compromised (to whatever extent that those ideals orginally existed) by their very continued association w/ the Kochtopus. It's impossible not to have been adversely affected or influenced.

Why else do believe parents express concern over the types of people their children make friends with and spend time with?

"For having lived long, I have experienced many instances of being obliged, by better information or fuller consideration, to change opinions, even on important subjects, which I once thought right but found to be otherwise." - Benjamin Franklin

Eh, I likely overreacted...

But... still going to write her an email. I will be civil though. I might have still been in RAGE mode from the MSM ignoring him and being too paranoid.

Well it IS sad that a self described libertarian

would conduct herself in this way and a REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST turns up defending Ron Paul instead. But I wouldn't take away the good things others at ReasonTV have done. Those include Nick Gillespie and Matt Welch, and I like the female reporter that did the public teacher interview which featured Matt Damon.

Thank you Mox, for showing us the

phony, pasted-on smile and repetitive talking points of one more of Reason's enemies of freedom and peace. Why do the decent folks at Reason tolerate the trolls?

I won't have to cancel.

I've never subscribed to the worthless rag.

After what they did to RP in 2008, there is no way that I would ever even consider subscribing.

Same here but

I did unsub from their tube ch and podcast. What really worries me is that the Judge has them on his show all the time.

I've seen that Katherine girl somewhere...

I think she was one of those skeletons on Pirates of the Caribbean?

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

Reason and Cato are beltway pseudo-Libertarian

and have the blessing of the Kock bros... buyer beware. I think another Reason writer Amy something didn't have nice things to say about the good doctor a few months ago. I think Reason and Cato are supporting Gary Johnson.

the writer was not amy ..., it was Megan McArdle.

2 more women turning against ron paul

what sheer dumb luck.. or is it.

Justin Raimondo from antiwar.com calls them all

Reasonoids and had a recent blog post at lewrockwell.com calling another reason writer, Shikla Dalmia (Ron Paul hater). I'm pretty certain when Lew gets a hold of this video he will have something to say. It seems to me from reading Lew Rockwell articles that the common denominator with Cato and Reason is the Kock Brothers.

The loudest voices from reason often say good thing about rp

Nick Gillespie and Matt Welch.. all i have to say.

If you look closely into her eyes, you can almost hear her brain

"This is so cool. $100,000 bucks just for making fun of Ron Paul"
Folks, if you suddenly see me posting about how bad Ron Paul is, know that I got over a million to do it.

If you subscribe to REASON

If you subscribe to REASON MAGAZINE, you need to drop your subscription and subscribe to THE NEW AMERICAN magazine. That goes for TIME, NEWSWEEK and US NEWS AND WORLD REPORT.

no wonder so many people stay lagging behind

on libertarian education.. miss all those segments reason did in interviews with sometimes very good libertarian activists and giving real life examples of government regulations.. i wonder how many activists people actually care about around here, besides ron paul and alex jones. dim future.

people talking about a boycott obviously hasn't been paying to the good reasontv has done in the past couple of years.. which says a lot about the amount of effort people actually put in this movement, rather than just talk.

write her a letter. write nick gillespie who has helped ron paul debate o'reilly and praised him in lots of interviews. do something positive. or just pine away in a corner as the world shrinks around you.

Zealotry - the enemy of

Zealotry - the enemy of reason.

"The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that." — Alan Greenspan

shes the woman in this video

reason tv interview on federal mandate on state education done by this woman

she actually asked whether some federal mandates on states on education can be good, as if she's never heard of unintended consequences. and no, she wasn't playing devil's advocate. you can tell from this minute detail that she is a glass half full libertarian. i've heard nothing but good support from nick gillespie and others about ron paul.. here is a clip of nick defending ron paul on o'reilly back in 08' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYqwmiprsBA

i had issue with this woman the first time i saw that interview which was weeks ago before this happened.. nobody else seemed to pay any attention then

now the late comers want to dump nick gillespie and other allies down into the water too.. great going. it's funny how people who rarely pay attention to different dynamics of personalities and their interactions around us tend to always be the loudest when it comes to marching to the war drum

There are a few CONSISTENT

There are a few CONSISTENT true libertarians at Reason, but a lot of them are not really consistent and border on neocons and.or liberals.

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

ah enough

listening to you spew garbage

real libertarians bring positive energy and make changes by persuading others, instead of just using principles as an excuse to hate. you're even worse than those liberals you despise.

But, Then, We Bomb Whole Countries

Non-libertarians like to deal with people based on the groups they belong to. Saves them from having to use their brains.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I'm listening to you.

Don't be so eager to flush

Don't be so eager to flush the entire magazine and its readership because of one person's opinion.

Stop being so militant. It's making the rest of us look bad.

"The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that." — Alan Greenspan

No, the mag sucks anyway.

I think we can all agree on that.

"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it." -- Joseph Goebbels

Don't see how this is being "militant".

I do like many of the people at reason. Especially Radley Balko and I do like Nick Gillespie as well. But we need to send a message to the supposedly "libertarian" magazine for bashing the first libertarian who actually has a chance.

Constructive criticism is one thing, but if Ron Paul is "fringe" then so is Reason magazine. Something here stinks.

By 'militant' I mean the

By 'militant' I mean the general reactionary attitude recently to any and all criticism of Ron Paul. People are going to disagree. Why should this be any different now?
If you are going to pass judgement on a magazine, its employees and regular contributors because you dislike the opinion of one or two people, then surely you can expect that a rational person might consider that a bit extreme.

I think you'll find that the magazine has changed quite a bit and has moved much closer to the Lew Rockwell, Ron Paul style in general. Do we change minds by isolating them?

"The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that." — Alan Greenspan

Its not just one person. I

Its not just one person. I have heard others from Reason do the same. But this is a good way of them correcting her. They need to have better grip of their editors, than to let her REPEATEDLY go on these ANTI Ron Paul tirades and worse, with a nasty smirk on her face.

I have no tolerance for that. I would if she was some neocon or liberal who didn't know better and needed an education, but she SHOULD know better and be THANKFUL for Ron Paul.

Sorry, there is NO excuse.

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

i'm sorry but you really spew a lot of rhetoric that just doesn'

sound intelligent.. it's more like venting and mushing together lots of emotions and call that logic rather than actually thinking.. writing her a letter would suffice.. nick gillspie pays lots of attention to their support base because it just isn't that big.. why do i have to waste time sitting here to calm you down in the first place? and here i am thinking most libertarians are intelligent.. you obviously aren't and what you're doing is anything but what can be remotely called an effective solution. thanks for letting us know your tolerance threshold btw.. like anyone cares. how does your 'tolerance' solve any of this?

letter complaint and straight to boycott? talk about stupidity.

To be fair, the publication has actually proven to be Beltway

Libertarian in the past, and as such, has engaged in blatantly statist rants on its very own. So really it has invited infighting amongst its own philosophical circles. It is almost its primary goal it would seem.

This is my email to Katherine.

Subject: Katherine Predicts the Future

Are you looking for a promotion or career advancement by towing the lamestream media buzz words about Ron Paul?

"Ron Paul is getting a tremendous amount of coverage for someone who is never going to be President. He knows that, the press knows that, everyone is behaving as if he is never going to be President." - Katherine Mangu-Ward

If you would have underestimated Ronald Reagan during his campaign run for President, for the same opinions stated above, you would have been wrong like so many other media people who inaccurately reported his support during his candidacy for President.

The cocky, selfish attitude and smug smile you displayed on the Fox News report (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy8EL3t4MEk) did nothing to lift your character as a Senior Editor or liberty minded individual representing REASON magazine.

I am a Canadian living in British Columbia and Ron Paul has given me more tears of joy, hopefulness, and enlightenment then all experiences combined in my lifetime.

As an entrepreneur, I have respected REASON magazine for years and as a reader have been able to collect golden nuggets which paid dividends in my business; I thank you for that.

Unfortunately, you have single handedly jeopordized our relationship with your arrogant interview and attitude.

Here is a quote from the 'About Reason' page online:

"Reason provides a refreshing alternative to right-wing and left-wing opinion magazines by making a principled case for liberty and individual choice in all areas of human activity."

Well, Katherine, I feel as though you failed to meet this standard. I hope in the future we can resonate once again.

In Liberty,

Courage - The key to happiness is freedom, the key to freedom is courage.
