My response to Politico:

"Way to beat a dead horse, Politico. Thanks for giving us a very old, worn out, sham of a story...again. You folks love to pull this one out every chance ya get, but somehow forget that it FAILS outright every time! Dr. Paul did not write the letters and was unaware of them. What's to keep people from writing newsletters on behalf of Barrack Obama or Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann or Mitt Romney?... Are you folks at Politico telling me that if I decide to go write a newsletter on the behalf of a candidate and fill it full of lies, that YOU in the media will take it seriously?!?!? If I write a newsletter today on behalf of Obama that states "I hate all white people and Mexicans are no better!", can I expect to see a Politico article claiming that Obama is a racist?... After all, there was a newsletter written in his name!.... C'mon, you hacks, surely you have some better tactics than this. Oh well, looks like it's time for me to get to work writing some newsletters. It's time to even the playing field. If you're gonna pull a dirty trick on one candidate, I better make sure you're able to pull it on all of them. Once again, thanks for the outstanding "journalism", Politico. You guys really go out of your way to look stupid."

Re: My response

Very well stated. I think that the impression would have been more powerful if you skipped the threat (although just satiric) and thereby assumed the position of the more honorable disputant, but that's just my personal opinion and maybe the more aggressive hyperbole is called for.

What can I say? I'm a plain spoken, "straight shooter"

I really tried to kiss up to the media four years ago. I was professional, courteous, kind, and fair.... but now days, I see no need for it. I love challenging them... by the way, I didn't "threaten" anyone or anything. I simply stated that Politico has given me the wonderful idea to publish some newsletters on behalf of a few candidates. I praise them for inspiring me.

Politico is very "green"...

for digging this out of the rubbish heap of 2008 and recycling it.
