I find myself in a very difficlut position, now that I have joined the CA GOP and attended my first GOP meeting, where I have been basically given permission to supply the tables and participate in the parades, as a Ron Paul supporter, but I will have to supply the slim joms and buttons and what ever the campaign has.
Seems ironic that I would send money to the money bomb and then have to buy all these RP materials. I can't afford both. Maybe it's better to send money to the money bomb and forget this delegate stuff even though I'm a delegate if I want to be, because being a delegate is expensive too.
September 16th CA convention is happening and so far it's BACHMANN BACHMANN BACHMANN BACHMANN CA GOP BACHMANN, she is the speaker, she has campaign materials, though no one outside the insiders of the CA GOP are biting.. apparently the CA GOP has made a decision?
So how am I going to do this? There are 7 active members in the ENTIRE COUNTY and they are voting for Bachmann (though one is leaning to Perry now, but still has fond hopes for Romney). I have the tables. I have the parade. No one from CA campaign has contacted me (and if it's Jeff Greenspen, I dought he will) though I signed up as a volunteer a months ago.
I sure hope Ron Paul makes millions, if not a hundred million on this next Money Bomb.. GO RP!!! But over here in Nor CA, It's ME and a few friends, and I'm the only one not afraid of Liberal's or GOP corrupt vandalizing my property or playing dirty tricks to hurt me.. everyone is afraid. I'm not afraid, I'm just not rich in money to give when I've got allot to do already and no money to do it here. And finally, if it's not abuot Ron Paul being nominated or elected in my area, I'm lost what the point to a money bomb is.
Educate me. LOVE to RP and the rEVOLution!

My advice
Focus on what you can do in your neighborhood first and foremost. If it costs you all you can afford forget the money bomb.
Being a delegate is THE most important job and it takes time, effort, money and most of all courage.

After the meeting Thursday night, it occured to me that going to the GOP convention in LA, where Bachmann is speaker, I see nothing being organized by the campaign for RP, so far. I have put myself into action, asked a few people if they would like to blow everyone's mind on Paul Bunyan Days and join me in the parade, I know an anti-war drill that is very easy to do, it's anti-drones = anti-war. And I want to write letters to the editors and call out RP republicans, get them off the fence and join me.
Thank you for the encouragement, advice and compliments. Being a "hero" is hard work and I've only just begun.

Do what you are doing!!
Win them over with facts! They may be for Bachmann now, but her record doesn't touch Ron Paul's! Research, research, research, and each time you come into contact with them, educate them a little more on RP. Share articles, share books, etc... Do what you're doing and don't hesitate to reach out to us other RP supporters to keep your spirits up! :)
Just an FYI, I would find out if they are planning on opening a campaign office in CA. I say this, because I bought a bunch of RP stuff from the website, but I am a also a co-chair for my county in Iowa, so the campaign office ended up giving me whatever stuff I needed to help efforts in my area. I would contact the campaign first, before you spend all your money. :)

So far, even though they have my email address, they have not contacted me, and no one gave me any contact information. I FEEL like they will IGNOR me and continue to act as if I didn't show up at the last meeting.
I am planning to compose letters to the editors of local and county papers asking for Ron Paul supporters to come out and support rp2012.
I would think that if they are planning to open an office, it should be soon. I sure hope so! I appreciate your encouragement nuzlum, also, AWESOME WORK in IOWA. I am so proud of you. I asked a friend yesterday, "Do you know who came in second in the Iowa straw poll?" When she thought about it, she did not, and it got to her that she didn't know. I bet she looks up Ron Paul. I hope so!

Don't get discouraged. No long faces. Spend your money on what you need to be a delegate. We all serve the revolution the best we can. I can not even begin to tell you how much of what you are doing is important. By September 16th, more people will be on our side.
