Ron Paul, Pakistan, and the Fed
via LewRockwell.com Blog by Lew Rockwell on 12/27/07
The horrific assassination of Benazir Bhutto is a massive blow to the empire, since she was the handpicked US replacement for the hated Pervez Musharraf. The US had installed Musharraf as military dictator after kicking out his elected predecessor, Nawaz Sharif (ah yes, global democracy), who was considered insufficiently obedient. The US has spent many billions on Musharraf and his military, but it has only earned the contempt of Pakistanis who don't like being a US colony (and no, one does not have to be pro-terrorist to be opposed to foreign control). What will happen now in Pakistan? Nothing good. At the same time, the US occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan continue to go badly, and Turkey--with US support--is bombing the Kurds in Iraq, the most pro-American part of the population. All over the world, other occupied areas grow restive as well.
Meanwhile, thanks to the Fed, the dollar weakens every day, riaking a key pillar of US hegemony. Domestically, housing heads into a 1930s-style crisis, with more of the economy to follow.
This is the way empires end: in blood and economic disaster. The regime will want to do more of the same: inflate and bailout at home, threaten and bomb abroad, which will only worsen everything.
There is only way out: cut spending, cut taxes, stop inflating, end the police state, bring the troops home. Peace and freedom: libertarianism, in other words. How blessed we are, at the very moment of crisis, to have Ron Paul.
"suicide bombers" doing what the "legitimate" political interests, supported by the good ole' USA, would love to do? Hmmmm...Where would the global war on terror/oil/regime change be without suicide bombers? Hmmm...Where are the neo-cons without Mohamed Atta? Hmmm...How much of what we hold as worth sacrificing our children's lives and our nation's financial future for a direct result of "crazed" suicide bombers?
Uncomfortable questions....one answer for America. Dr. Ron Paul.

Freedom is not FREE!!
This news opens the door to begin as they have for the fear tactics to start pouring in. Heaven forbid someone gets the nukes. This will be the news up and until the election from Rudy and Billary.
We must keep people focused on the ball. Not this garbage. It's their country and we need to butt out!
I can't help but wonder what our foreign policy had to do with this.

I kid, of course, but watching the event get spun that way later today won't surprise me in the least...

Yeah, it's all about the spin. I'm listening here to at least 3 channels on the Bhutto assasination and the most disgusting thing (beside the reality of the event) is how the discussion has switched to how this will help Guliani. How unfeeling can a news media be? That they should take this event to again "even up" the race for their own ratings...

When I'm sure -- dead certain -- I'm around both Democrats and Republicans & the discussion swings to Pakistan, I have a policy of loudly blaming that all-powerful Libertarian Party for Pakistan's getting a nuke. :)
Even though I'm now a Republican, I'll probably still do it if I get a chance. Over the top sarcasm like that never fails to provoke a sputtering response among those *actually* to blame. I'm cruel enough that setting-off such responses amuse me. ;)

George Bush doesn't want Osama bin Laden caught, he wants someone in Pakistan to allow Al-Qaeda to coexist with Pakistanis (Musharrif).
Osama is the nephew of a good friend of the Bushes. This good friend also pays billions of dollars to Bush owned companies every year.
Bush is just trying to contain, but not kill Osama in Pakistan.
Benizir Bhutto wasn't Bushes or the Saudi's woman so they offed her.

This is incredibly sad. I hope that a Ron Paul presidency will foster a sense of peace and reverence for life all over the world. I feel sorry for the people of Pakistan.
I know the U.S. have become disenchanted with Musharraf lately because he has not been aggressively pursuing terrorist in the western part of Pakistan. Did Bhutto represent U.S backed opposition to Musharraf?
after he declared martial law we sent him $11 billion. we call Musharraf "an ally in the war on terror" while Bhutto wanted peace with neighbors, return to the constitution, etc. etc. We all know how much they like candidates like that.
She knew she was at risk but said she could not stop her work, could not abandon the people of Pakistan.

The US neocons in govt still love Musharref... they didn't like or want Bhutto ruining his iron fist rule over there....
Don't kid yourself.. the US coddles and nourishes tyrants and dictators the world over, in up to 75 instances just since 1945!!!!
Read William Blums masterpiece, KILLING HOPE... he chronicles US/CIA overthrows, assassinations, coups, financial sabatoge, etc...
Sky News (owned by Rupert Murdoch) is speculating that it could be a terrorist from India whom "pakistan, a nuclear armed country, has been rattling sabers with." then they commented that the US state dept. has issued a statement that "the attack shows that there are still those in Pakistan that seek to undermine democracy." also talking about Taliban terrorists.
again: terror, terror, terror, weapons of mass destruction, terror, terrorists, 9/11, yellow cake uranium, terror, terror, weapons of mass destruction, be afraid, be very afraid, the world is a dangerous place and you need us to protect you, blah, blah, blah.

Who done it
When a freedom fighter is assassinated, it by the hand of the state.
When a tyrant is assassinated, it is by the hand of the people.
U.S. foreign policy has supported the hand of the state in this instance while pretending not to.
Right out of the Machiavellian playbook.
Now expect the FEAR TACTICS
