Bhutto is not bad news, it only justifies getting out of Iraq

Pakistan is where Bin Laden is - the fact that we have had the war on terror and have not been able to bring him to justice, but rather attack a country that has no nukes and really had no terrorists to speak of before we attacked it - should be spread far and wide. So now you have Pakistan with hundreds of nukes in chaos and Bin Laden running around there because we haven't made any efforts to catch or kill him. It was ignorant to invade Iraq when we should have been putting all the effort into Bin Laden.

When we invade, all we do is create suicide bombers and bring on more anti-American violence.

Non-Intervention is the best policy

Bin Laden is dead

Wake up this guy has been dead for ages. Watch the 6 min to 7 min section very carefully.

Time out.

If Bin Laden's dead (and truth be known, there has been speculations of the sort), how is it not officially confirmed and how is it that not only does she know he died, but know who killed him? What info is there on the guy who killed him? I'd check myself, but my spelling on foreign names is horrible. Did she get killed leaving us with more questions than answers? Will Bobby find true love? It was said with no one blinking an eye.

Dead

http://whatreallyhappened.com/osama_dead.html

Until I see a video of bin Laden that isn't completely, laughably, transparently NOT HIM -- including proof of the date (hold up a newspaper, mention current events, etc.) -- I will continue to believe he is dead, and has been for several years. Not another [conveniently] grainy, cellphone-quality farce, but a real video that convinces every credible video forensics expert.

In order to justify eternal funding for eternal war, you need an eternal enemy. The shadowy, the better.

Chris Matthews show this Sun. a.m. "will get Bin Laden in 08"

Caught a quick moment this Sun. am on Chris Matthews show. He always closes his show with "tell me something I don't know"

Guest #1 said, "there is going to be a 3rd party pres candidate in 08"
Guest #3 said, "we will be more involved in Aphghanistan and will get Bin Laden in 08"
Smelly, smelly, smelly!

Meet the press had Huckabutt and Obama this a.m. - nice push for the chosen ones???

I dislike the title

I think it is bad news when someone gets assassinated.

Is it just me?

Or does anyone else find all this too convenient?

America seen as meddling again?

With the asassination of Bhutto, questions regarding the role of Musharraf's government will arise. Our support for the military dictator will now bring us under suspicion by the people of Pakistan as well it should. We have done little to support democracy there and Bin Laden is as free as you or I. This showcases the foreign policy of Dr. Paul as being dead on again.

Huckabee's response:

Our sincerest concerns and "apologies"...

Strange.

Bhutto was our puppet replacement for Musharraf

Look, I hate to see violence against anyone, no matter how despicable the person is, because I believe in the essential dignity of the human form which cannot be undone by the person who occupies the body.

That being said, Bhutto was a neocon puppet, she absolutely DID NOT stand for freedom, she was to be just another successor in a line of american puppets. There was support for Musharraf too when he replaced his puppet predecessor, but that doesn't mean that these people really know what is good for them, and many certainly are not aware of how much we control their country. I hope a true leader rises up for the Pakistani people, a Ron Paul equivalent, to free them from the military dictatorship that we fund.

So, I have mixed feelings. Saddened by violence against anyone, but delighted by this blow to the American empire. I hope someone of truth and conviction can save these people.

"Truth is treason in the empire of lies." - Ron Paul

proud to be a ron paul supporter....

wow....never believed fellow americans had such insight....this post just gives me hope of the future of america....and yes they need a leader like Ron Paul....

This will be used by the neocons

This will be another war-cry for the neocons. They will use this poor woman's death to justify a police state and their war on terror. This is not good. Notice how the government has reacted. They shut down roads, deployed thousands of paramilitary troops, etc. Wolf wrote about this in her book "The End of America". Watch what happens. Soon there will be no news. I can only hope we have patriots in our Federal and local law enforcement, military, even Blackwater. I hope they follow their oath and defend the Constitution, not an insane neocon agenda.

excellent point.....

I suppose the neocons will just replace her with another willing puppet, and will use the assassination in their favor by claiming the evil terrorists did it because they hate "democracy".

By the way, I'm really getting tired of the media talking about attacks on democracy......who's trying to defend democracy? Of course, this is their attempt to have us all believe that we are a democracy and that it should be defended as if it is the equivalent of freedom, when in reality the two are incompatible. Democracy is used as a means of political expediency, I don't think the founders ever thought that our national elections would have the power to decide issues that should not be handled at the federal level.......

This will be used to influence election

The BIG problem right now is that this is being used to influence the primaries! Don't you see that? Now we need "a president with experience" like Guiliani or McCain; according to the push on CNN right now. I hope most Americans don't get confused about the real issues and they think but I think I am being too optimistic.

Healthnuttie for Ron Paul

There is no evidence it had anything to do with terrorism

The terrorism and Bhutto connection is easy to dispell - there is no evidence whatsover it was terrorism - more likely it was the current Pakistani government taking the shot. I would hit every internet site and push that theme.

That is already happening

I'm working from home today and have had either CNN or MSNBC on all day. They are already saying that we need to continue our war on terror, ect ect. They are making it sound as though she were killed because she was fighting for democracy and the evil terrorists hate democracy so they killed her. They are saying that the same terrorists that attacked us, are the same ones that killed her.

I am personally saddened

I am personally saddened about the death of Bhutto not because she was a freedom fighter or a fighter for democracy but because she was a human being and didn't deserve to die so unnecessarily.

Unfortunately, this incident may give an opportunity for the neo-cons to justify their crusade against "Islamo Fascism". Lets understand few facts:

Sub-continent is known for settling political scores through violence. Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India, was assasinated by a suicide terrorist of LTTE in 1990 to retaliate against Indian troops deployment in Sri Lanka to contain LTTE. While another Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi was assasinated by Sikh terrorists to revenge against the invasion on Golden Temple in 1980s. Similar things happened in Sri Lanka. Benazir Bhutto's father was executed by Zia Ul Haq while her brother Mortaza Ali Bhutto was shot dead in 1996 at the behest of his rivals.

It is very likely that she got killed by Islamic Extremists. Due to the absence of Benazir and Nawaz (both thrown out by US-backed Musharaf), Islamists won elections and gained seats in Pakistan assemblies and parliament as never before. They were the ones who benefited most. With Benazir's return in power, they were the ones who stood to loose most.

Again, US government is directly responsible for whats happening in Pakistan by aiding and abetting a dictator who literally killed the democracy in Pakistan. I would rather create a separate post to explain how US intervention has made Islamic extremists too powerful.

Read this guy, sounds right on

As a person who has been to the country...

McINSane and Ghouliani benefit big time!

Notice how these two retreads have been all over the news today? Both trumpeting their hardline stance on "radical Islamic extremists", MORE interventionism, MORE money sent to support Pakistan and Afghanistan, how we just CANNOT turn our back on the "clash of civilzations" we are currently engaged in.

I really HATE it when "random" (seemingly) events occur at a PERFECT time for the ESTABLISHMENT to benefit most.

Hmmmm.....

"Luctor et Emergo" - Struggle and Emerge

Dont forget McINSanes constant quotes about

how HE is the MOST experienced in this, and how if HE were President, he would know what to do in the midst of this crisis.

Do you know what he keeps saying? "I've been there many times"

I'm sorry, but what does visiting a country give him in terms of knowing how the game is played? How exactly does that give him more experience?

It takes me back to his INSANE Debate quote of how he just finished having Thanksgiving dinner with THE TROOPS, and that their message to Dr. Paul was "Let us win"

He makes it sound as if he personally had dinner with every service man and woman in Iraq, the same way he has made it sound today that be visiting Pakistan numerous times, he is now the most qualified to lead us in this CRISIS.

I just cant take it anymore sometimes.

Kind of reminds me of those

Kind of reminds me of those stupid commercials where the actor says, for example, I'm not a real doctor, but I play one on TV or I stayed in a Motel 6 last night, blah blah blah. I'm probably confusing a few commercials, but whatever, you get the point! :)

I was very saddened to hear about Bhutto's assassination for a couple of reasons. #1, she was a human being and WHEN will the senseless killings end? #2, this plays into the hands of the fear/war mongers. Enough already! It's time for a changing of the guards where we let people live in peace and harmony not because they MUST or else, but because they WANT to. (and are allowed to!)

whoa!!!!!

lets get this straight....for the nth timeI am repeating this..should have a thread...nuclear arms cannot ( i repeat cannot) be used by any person or a terrorist for that matter....that all the 24 that people have been watching....look do some research and stop spending time on the OM....these nukes are in special guarded places where obviously they dont want their enemies to know...besides why would they allow them to be available to the terrorist as it would threaten their program and provide an excuse for it to be bombed or shut down...also even IF they get the 'bomb' its just a piece of metal they cant do jack about because unlike the last 24 episode these things are complicated and have a series of launch codes to activate....just imagine if the plane carrying the bomb was to accidentally drop it on its own country....ofcourse it wont blow ...they have fool proof mechanisms....

AGAIN THIS FEAR DRIVEN BS IS ALL MEDIA.....just do the thinking for yourself for once...NUKES ARE A NON ISSUE.....

Not really true

Actually it was Pakistan that gave the information on how to make a Nuclear Bomb to North Korea and Iran.

I think what your afraid of is that someone we will say "wow" Pakistan is unstable we must invade - not at all. As a matter of fact, most countries sooner or later will aquire the knowledge to make a nuclear device, wether they have the technology, infrasturcture, and materials to make them are different. So in the end, there is no reason to hunt down every country that has nukes - its inevitable that they will have them. Its better to have a peacful and friendly relationship with them.

In addition, there are a whole bunch of Soviet Era suitecase nukes out there that can be used by ONE person.

Not Smart

Dr. Paul would never associate himself with this headline, even if it proves his common-sense platform. You need to seriously reconsider adding headlines that would draw in so much controversy! Our biggest challenge is to keep this momentum of freedom growing- this does nothing to draw in new supporters. If we stay positive, Dr. Paul will shock the nation next week!

Lets not forget that Bhutto was voted out of office

Lets not forget that Bhutto was voted out of office and half the citizens think she was a failure - she is in no way some innocent lamb. While there is no celebrating her death on my part, I do no think she is a martyr either. You need to dig alot deeper into her past to see what she was about. Remember that is was the Pakistani President that pardoned her and allowed her to come back to Pakistan.

I would suggest everyone sit back and take it all in, before jumping to conclusions. One thing we do know, is that the United States failed to get Bin Laden, and instead decided to attack Iraq using the smoke screen of terrorism as its reasoning.

Bhutto is not bad news?????

So are we only concerned about our freedom. I am not for intervention but I do consider myself allies with those who fight for liberty. I was deeply saddened by the news of Bhutto's death. It is a blow to all of us who defend freedom. One of ours has been lost. This is terrible news indeed.

Can you imagine how her supporters must feel. My heart aches for them. I can only imagine.

I'm sure those who wish to impose their tyranny on us will look at this as a victory. They should be fearful though. Fearful of those unintended consequences Dr. Paul often speaks of.

Spoke too soon

Okay, so maybe she wasn't a freedom fighter. She definitely wasn't one of ours. I commented with little detail but have since learned much more. Just another US lackey. Doesn't make her death any less tragic. I'm sure she was loved by many.

I agree

This woman was blown up by a suicide bomber and this is okay? Maybe we should be saying 'Awful, but none of our business, let's leave them alone'.

A lost human life is bad news

Following Tompaine's entry, please guys note this (CET) chronology and check with MSM timing (ET) your end

I'm from Europe. My RAI (Italian TV) teletext shows the following:

13:43hrs CET (07:43am ET) : Bomb explosions at Bhutto's meeting.
14:14hrs CET (08:14am ET) : Bhutto seriously injured.
14:27hrs CET (08:27am ET) : Bhutto possibly dead.
14:29hrs CET (08:29am ET) : Bhutto confirmed dead.

In today's Morning Joe 15 minute RP clip the girl in the studio makes a quick mention of explosions in Pakistan. What was the time your end at that precise moment? (i. e. did she know already but couldn't present Ron Paul with such an overwhelming point in his favour?)

timing in clip ... between 12:13 and 12:26 min into interview

but I don't know when the interview started or whether it was live.

Yes Bhutto's demise is sad indeed. It is an attack straight into the heart of the Pakistani people. Many many Pakistani's are well educated, savy in regard to the direction in the world today and not willing to tow any NWO line. They are in the brutal process of being silenced. Watch and learn.
