No Justice for 9/11 but Justice for the Pakistanis?

0 votes

In response to the assassination of Bhutto, Bush stated:

"The US strongly condemns this cowardly act by murderous extremists who are trying to undermine Pakistan's democracy"
Those who committed this crime must be brought to justice."

Well, isn't that dandy? Bush wants justice. He spends our blood and treasure on Iraq but can't seem to get Osama.

Our country has been columbined. I am referring to the tragedy in Colorado at Columbine High School. What I mean by this is our protectors are wimps in the face of armed opposition and brave in the face of the weak and innocent.

As you may recall, the authorities waited outside the school because it was "too dangerous" to enter. Meanwhile, teachers and students bled to death and the rampage continued. Our establishment reminds me of Clint Eastwood in the Dirty Harry series railing against politically correct and misguided authority figures who seemingly bungled justice at every turn. Evidentally, the preverse motivations that lead to statist views are antithetical to justice. When power supercedes all other considerations, justice dies and tyranny blooms.

At our country's heart, we still got it. Think of the firefighters that sacrificed their lives on 9/11, but we need to freedom to rekindle the American spirit, we need Ron Paul.

Perhaps then, we can have a country we can all be proud of once again.

what democracy is this guy talking about?

someone needs to correct him (as usual). It is he and his foreign policies that have undermined the democracy in Pakistan by supporting a military general for the last 7 yrs as the head of state of that country. If he thinks that is the brand of democracy that he was trying to protect then I can only pray for America. Besides its all about "blowback". Benazir was NOT the champion of democracy but the darling of the 'west'. Unlike what the OM portrays, she had looted the state during her 2 terms and was a victim of blowback as she was consistently meeting our officials including Negroponte (check his past records) and had a close association with our government. Reality check people in Pakistan don't like our foreign policy.

What we need to do is let the people of Pakistan decide what they want to do and stop meddling with their internal matters. We should be taking care of our own people here and stop aid to other countries like we have excess to throw out.

The US has stifled democracy in the India/Pakistan/Kashmir/Bangladesh region since its inception. No greater examples can demonstrated than that of the unwavering support of Mussaraf & the supposed populous return of Benazir Bhutto. Both of these tyrants have been supported by the US and neither have had had any interest in helping the average Pakistani out.
Don't believe me just ask any one from that region - it is common knowledge over there.
Can anyone really blame the people for turning to the mosque for guidance when the political world is so tyrannical?

agree

couldn't have said it any better.....especially the last part.....

no justice / no peace

While we're on the subject, you don't hear much about the murderous extremists who succeeded in undermining our representative democracy when they sent anthrax to sitting United States Senators in 2001.

I guess those who committed that crime must not necessarily be brought to justice according to the Acting President/trained chimpanzee.

A Paul Presidency will restore Truth and Justice in America.

Exactly

We need to get the 9/11 perps, but that is not on our agenda, and that is the essense of what we have become. We are indifferent to justice now. The disease that causes this is marxism.

With all the power we have, we can't find a 6 foot 6 male in the middle east?
