Rudy says we need MORE INTERVENTION in Pakistan
Submitted by NCMarc on Thu, 12/27/2007 - 13:02Following the murder of Benazir Bhutto, Rudy Guiliani came up with a press conference today and he said the he'd like to see more intervention in Pakistan and help them with their needs. Of course Rudy said Islamic Terrorists and 9-11 9-11 and 9-11 and some how related this to Iraq and Al Queda without even knowing who was ultimately responsible. It's clear how he wants to further Bush's message and then some.
McCain wants to help "maintain order" in Pakistan. Then McCain, and Mitt also followed suit with their interventionism policy as well. He "knows" these guys and knows how to talk with them. Yeah, McCain, let's give them some money.
Meanwhile, someone from Pakistan was quoted on TV as saying "The USA needs to stay out of our country." (referring to Pakistan)
MSNBC is sensationalizing this and several of the commentators speaking in a upbeat and excited voice.
The War Machine at it's finest. It's clear that the more we intervene in these areas, the worse it gets.

Rudy says we need MORE INTERVENTION in Pakistan
In other news, the sun rose in the east this morning
Rudy is slacking on his homework
Rudy must be slacking on Ron Paul's recommended "Rudy's Reading List".
Rudy still doesn't understand the conflicts with America's foreign policy.
Rudy really can't be that ignorant to our foreign policy can he?

Musharraf is a U.S. puppet
Obviously he couldn't have done this without the "go ahead" from the Bush administration.
Very good posts here ...
it's so much better to come here and get real information and real understanding - compared to the propaganda on television and radio.
still reading the posts... very good - thanks all.

My God..
I DID NOT realize that they KILLED Bhutto today..
DOES EVERYONE NOT BELIEVE THAT THE CREEP RUNNING PAKISTAN HAD THIS DONE???
Mr. General take off your clothes.... you know... the guy we give BILLIONS too.. cause he built a bomb....
Yeah that guy.... HE DID THIS TO BHUTTO... AND WE SUPPORT HIM!!
In fact officials from her Pakistan People's Party were less than complimentary about the security arrangements that had been put in place by General Pervez Musharraf, the country's current military dictator, whom they suspected of not being overly vigilant in preventing the attacks because he was less than enthusiastic about entering into a power-sharing arrangement with Miss Bhutto.
Strap a Parachute on the Bald Bastard
And send him out over PK... with some bombs and such and a radio... have him get back to us.... let us KNOW how the intervention is going..
Peace
as a person who has been to the country...
The turning point in the short history of that country was the proxy war the Pakistani people waged for us against the soviet communists. We didn't want the soviets to gain the warm waters of the Arabian sea and needed to stop them in Afghanistan. What did we do? prop a dictator named Zia a military general who ironically had benazir's dad hanged after he was 'democratically' elected. To win that war thousands of young men were recruited from local seminaries or madrassah's funded by the CIA. There were hundreds of these maddrassah mushrooming in the country indoctrinating them with hatred against the infidels=communists. Many Arabs were also recruited to fight the commis in afghanistan and Osama was among these. So when the soviet finally left Afghanistan there was a whole generation of men brought up to wage war and nothing else with weapons in their hands and no one to turn to. Obviously they were used by the people with political motives to receive their ends. Much of the heroin and arms were smuggled into Pakistan during that time. Our government with the soviets defeated stopped funding the country and Zia was 'killed' in a plane that had a bomb on it. The people of Pakistan who despised Zia for his tyrannical rule saw how much our government was backing a dictator and called our demand for democracy a hypocrisy. Plus they despise the propping up of religious seminary places funded by US and saudi money.
The people of pakistan distrust the US government over its meddling in its internal affairs and proping up dictators and having ' western' grown leaders like Benazir thrusted upon them. Musharraf another stooge has made a mockery of the Pakistani constitution amending it at will without any approval. He has been rewarded with 10 billion in our hard earned money and all that money has gone to the military industrial complex in the country and the elite beurocracy and feudal land owners. He is playing the extremist game to prop up support for himself.
But now to the OM and its policy towards Pakistan. Everyone knows Musharraf;s time is up as his popularity is at an all time low. The need of a controlled leader is required in Pakistan not to fight extremism (b/c face it that will never end as long as the root cause is not addressed ie foreign interventionism and more autonomy to the people). There in came the role of Benazir and she was in self exile because of corruption cases against her. Some sources quoting a figure of 1.5 bn looted. She had been meeting top British (milbrand) and American officials (Gates and negroponte) and the people of Pakistan were distrustful of her motives. Pakistani people are now very guarded about the politicians who have a history of corruption and foreign allegiances. So when Benazir stepped in Pakistan she was attacked the same day and survived. The extremist who again are generalized as they include many nationalistic movements and the former mujahideen of the Afghan war were out to get her. This woman was NOT seen as a symbol of democracy and the people were also mystified by the exposure she was getting from CNN and the likes. Lets face it. If someone cannot do anything in two terms of office they can hardly change anything in their third. Infact the amended constitution doesn't even allow a third term.
So when she was assassinated today it came as no surprise. But what needs to be taken from this is that the people of Pakistan don't want any foreign intervention and hate the policies towards them. They don't want the 'extremists' either because they jeopardized their national sovereignty.
Lesson to be learned? The OM does not air news about fall of the dollar, the inflation , the national debt, the risk of losing more civil liberties here in America but instead has its own agenda of spreading fear of these people in Pakistan. The fear of their nuclear assets. Which really is a joke because any informed person would know that a nuclear bomb cannot be stolen because there are a series of codes to protect it. Its a piece of metal until activated. Besides how these weapons are made and work it is ludicrous to suggest how they will fall in 'evil' hands. So yes its more warmongering and more cause for blowback.
For I can tell you first hand the people of Pakistan or anywhere in the world don't hate us. But yes if you ask them about our policies they do get angry and you would understan why.
Thanks for the post!
Great in-depth explanation. Much appreciated.

just informing...doing my job....
reading my post I came out very critical of Benazir....yes she has corruption charges of looting the country but I failed to mention she did and still has support in the country (around 25-30%) which is mainly due to her fathers cult status as the socialist leader of the people Z A Bhutto ....he also was given credit for being the founder of the nuclear program and trying to work for the people....so although she was thought to be the "new" stooge of the west (which was likely) her party was popular ...hence the outrage in the country...also there is an underlying dislike for the military as it has become a full blown industrial complex....so yes there will be unrest in the country....
but bottom line for heaven sake we have more problems in US to deal with and this should be less important than the problems faced here and stop meddling in their buisness
Amazing what ignorant people will do
Put out a $200-million letter of Marque--even a billion would be a bargain, compared to what we're spending in Iraq and Afghanistan--on bin Laden, or any other terrorist who dares attack us on American soil, and our troubles with terrorists would be over very quickly.
At the risk of sounding conspiratorial.....
I found it incredible to watch in real time the SPIN put on the assasination of Bhutto by MSNBC, CNN, and the White House briefing. All talking incessantly about "radical Islam", "terrorists", "attempting to thwart democracy". Heck, I even heard on BOTH channels the speculation that it might have been "Al Quaida"!!!!
......Could someone please correct me if I am wrong, but was she not the OPPOSITION leader against the established, UNDEMOCRATIC current administration there (Pakistan)? The ones whom declared martial law recently and postponed elections? Seems to me the simplest explanation as to who might have killed her just MIGHT be the people whom have the most to gain.
THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN.
Oh yeah....aren't they one of our "biggest allies" in the "global war on terror"? Hmmmmmmmm......
"Luctor et Emergo" - Struggle and Emerge
yes, Bhutto was the opposition leader
and against the current despot supported by the US. Military. Yes they can not tell us where the 4billion in aid (taxpayer money) has been spent. And yes they have "nuckelar" weapons, and is a territory where were Obama calls home. And Yes, she was against a leader that has put many lawyers in Jail without trial, initiated martial law to contain dissenters. The same Government that had her imprisoned in her own home for "safety" not to quell her public speeches, while real safety measures where sketchy . Bhutto herself complained and warned the Government itself that attempts to her life were apparent after 8 misses and 100's of dead in the attempts.
By whom? You be the judge. But it is true that reports plead with the US to leave them alone in their internal affairs. How many more innocent lives have to die?
Who's the crazy one?
Ron Paul is crazy, he advocates that our involvement in the affairs of other nations does not improve our security and makes us a target of radical elements. Well, look at the wonderfull results of our intervention in Pakistan, we had two frieds there, one a dictator,Pervez Musharaff, another one a brave woman who wanted freedom for her country, Benazir Buhtto, who has been murdered. Now Buhtto's followers are blaming Musharaff, and Musharaff is taking harsher mesurements against Buhtto's followers who are rioting. This gets better, Osama's ( do you remenber him) followers are waiting to see who destroys who, knowing that they will emerge stronger, possibly strong enough to take over the country, a country that has atomic weapons and effective delivery systems for them. Who in that country can we say is our friend today?. You see, Dr. Paul is crazy, but all the warmongering candidates are sane.
Any links?
Sure would be helpful to have links to the print or video of these candidates saying these things. When telling others, it has more credibility to quote the article instead of a chat from DailyPaul. Not that this isn't valuable! Thanks for the info.

This administration is not interested in capturing Osama. The longer he's let to run from cave to cave, give this administration more time to secure the oil in Iraq.

I'm watching CNN.
So far, the inference has been raised that al Qaeda is behind this. Several commentators have already talked about our next steps. Who knows what will come out of this?
I think that the Military Industrial Complex is salivating over this one. I'm sure that there will be a push for some sort of involvement.

How about we send in assassins to kill Osama, Inc.?
Let Pakistan be free of our occupation forces and instead just send in some robot sentries to look for Osama, Inc. and then do whatever is necessary to kill them.
Here's my two cents
They go back door into Iran by going into Pakistan first. Wow, Afghanistan,
Iraq, Pakistan, then Iran. Nothing like Democracy by gunpoint.
