Artist making a huge statement next to the KC Fed

He said he managed to round up 117 shipping containers in different colors to make a seven-story stack near the Liberty Memorial. The project, which sits just across the street from the Federal Reserve Building, will soon spell out "USA" on one side and "IOU" on the other.

KC Fed
I live right down the street from the KC Fed. I think this is great, not seen it yet, but I might have to make my way out to see it. We protested the fed on Independence Day, would have been great if this was there then.
End the Fed!
This is the premier issue of our day. The #2 issue is so far behind this #1 issue that's almost not worth talking about ANYTHING else but ending this criminal cartel.
I am impressed that folks (WHO may I ask????) are financially supporting this political statement. Art? Yeah right.
This act of protest truly is a positive sign that the times are a changing.
I wish there would be CEO's and Presidents and Owners of corporations not part of the Fortune 500 or Fortune 1,000 (i.e., those who are not bought and paid for by the bankers) who would start publicly supporting the only politician that will give them a fighting chance against the establishment.

I don't get it
What's it even supposed to mean? It should say KMA on the side facing the fed and END on the street side as you look at the fed. IOU USA? So we're reminding the fed that we "owe" them the "money" they created?? Or saying the fed owes us?? I'm confused.

It is, like most art, not suppose to be literal...more commentary. I assume its simply speaking about the association with the USA and its debt problem. That the world now associates those three letters with being a debtor nation. Visualizing it in shipping containers is smart because they are setting vacant at our ports and they are also how we receive goods from other countries most of which we owe money. Why next to the fed...well we all know why...because they create our debt.
It means......
It is a playful way of saying "We know you're expecting Actual money but we're just gonna give you a piece of paper with the letters "IOU" written on it. (Or, more accurately, dirty storage containers) And the other side is for the people of the USA to see. USA! A word of unity and hope. While simultaneously "Sticking it to the man" Lol; Hope that helps

The USA is a nation of debtors because of the Federal Reserve. All our money is a promise to pay or an IOU. Nothing great about a promise to get paid debt.
