The article says they're "minting" money, but they aren't. They're printing it. This is just one more fiat currency rip-off scheme.

According to the mayor of Filletino, Luca Sellari, "We aim to achieve real autonomy from Italy and we have the financial resources to do it." Reading other articles in Italian media, the premise is not only a rejection of the debt based Euro, but a move against the continual failures of big government altogether.

Will someone please send the mayor a wheelbarrow -- for he's going to need it to carry around his big brass ones.

Logic dictates that: Wrong action has to lead to wrong results; and right action has to lead to right results. Period. No exceptions.

Can you even venture to imagine if a governor said something like that in America and made a state currency to facilitate secession?
