They've been trying to slam Ron for this for awhile now. Now another credible source agrees. :D

I'm not worried

Dr. Paul has all the valid points he needs and now the practice at delivering them.

Add to that, there's a debate coming up in a week. The odds are pretty high they will ask him about his statement on FEMA. He can knock it out of the park.

It's interesting how he used

It's interesting how director used "another tsunami in Japan" as an example of low funds being inaccessible to foreign countries and their emergencies. WTF? I thought FEMA was a federal agency for domestic American emergency measures. Is the Fema director actually saying it, too, is another global enterprise paid with American taxpayer money? Geez, the US (actually the world needs the US to elect Ron Paul and bring some integrity back into American governing power.

I think it's funny

how one comment from a guy who is running for President suddenly becomes a top news story in MSM. When I first heard Paul make the statement about FEMA, I thought he did it at the wrong time because of possible blowback. But now, not so sure. This story has really given Paul a ton of media coverage and hopefully that will translate into votes and funds.

Those pics brought back

Those pics brought back memories of a hurricane when I was a kid. We lived in Tampa out on some fingers, and it flooded. We sloshed in the water...neighbors came in row boats to get us from the school bus stop and for people who had to leave their cars 4 blocks away from their houses. I dove down cleaning out gutter grates..someone got a boat and was water skiing up Bayshore Blvd. Some had phones and no electricity, some had the opposite. We had all filled our bathtubs. It was a big deal, but kind of fun. Only certain areas were flooded that much. Life went on. No FEMA. No MANDATORY evacuations..they just told us it was strongly advised. Some went. Some stayed to defend their homes. It is VERY rarely as bad as Katrina was in NO. They were waiting for the BIG one and it came. Fema made it worse.
Oh for the days when we could fend for ourselves..sigh.

How true, Crickett.

Imagine if mercenaries were shooting your neighbors and forcing people out of their homes and taking away their guns as was the case with Katrina? We have a government run amok. I can remember situations like yours when I lived in Ohio as a boy. Snow storms paralyzed the cities but, we made do and there was no FEMA. (50's-70's).

"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves." William Pitt in the House of Commons November 18, 1783
"I know major allies who fund them" Gen. Dempsey referring to ISIS

Brownie is an idiot

He is the worst example of a grafty elitist fleecing a buraucracy forvperonal use...check his tax funded flights to Colorado ...he spent more tine making sure his special bus was tricked out and had ice in the buckets than commanding the Katrina disaster recovery...absolute symbol of what Ron Paul is talking about.

Well, he still agreed with

Well, he still agreed with Paul, which is a good thing..

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

They're both sleazy fundraisders for big government. That ex-FEMA guy must still be on the payroll, and he certainly thinks people should follow government orders. YEEEECH!

They both completely ignored the issue of moral hazard and how FEMA makes that worse.
