How many people have you converted to Ron Paul?

How many have you introduced to Ron Paul that would not have voted for him otherwise? Personally I know I've got 4 "for sures" under my belt and and least three more "possibles". (and I'm still working it) :-) » |

I think between several hundred
and several thousand...mostly online various blogs digg youtube...
after Ron Paul endorsed Ralph Nader did the same for Ralph and him getting 700,000 votes a few hundred of those for sure were cast because of my work.

not sure..
I spoke in front of 3 precincts for Clark County (LV) at the NV caucuses and saw one person scratch out Romney and put in Ron Paul at the end of my speech and got one thumbs up from a lady, so at least 2. I have talked to alot of people about him but not sure who fully changed. But I have convinced my oldest daughter.

I still keep on talking Ron Paul - but I stress the ideals he spouses a lot more than the man. Seems to be working.

at a get together with inlaws this weekend made the mistake of saying bush is the worst president we ever had. got blasted from the sister in law that i wasted my vote, picking a man that few people even voted for. I should have told her, what difference does it make, her guy mccain lost also. If more people were interested in finding out the truth, Dr. Paul would have received as many or close to that of Obama. It really bothers me that so many people are so bent on their "parties" that they don't want to look elsewhere and see if anyone is saying anything different. went on to tell me she watches fox news morning noon and nite as they are "fair and balanced" so i told her, "okay, now i now where you're coming from" almost ruined the weekend. no one came to my defense, but i didn't care, I guess MSM exposure is the thing that "legitimizes" candidates. anyway, i am upset with myself because i got quite loud and should have stayed calm about it to discuss it civilly, but she doesn't like me anyway, so i was wasting my breath, her sister, a die hard bushiite, does like me and said everyone has their own opinion. but i will follow the good Doctor to the end. some people prefer slavery to freedom

I'm pretty close to nailing another one.
One of my new co-workers voted for McCain and 100% neocon until he got to know me. He is now quoting Peter Schiff and got him to agree with a lot of Ron Paul's ideas. Losing his shirt on the market in September helped a lot.
Anyhow, I can sense he's almost there but still needs some prodding.

I would say introduced rather than "converted"
People should be allowed to make their own decisions based on correct information. "Conversion' sounds like something is being forced where the reverse is true about this movement. This movement is about individual rights that any person should have. That way i have talked to some 15-20 people by now and keep talking with them about Fed Reserve, IRS, immigration, concept of republic, etc.
The downside has been that my wife thinks I have gone nuts! (I think all RP supporters including RP himself must have been called that at least once by others)

Forcing your beliefs on folks will turn them off... but discussing the idea of the Republic, and asking them real questions about their own beliefs is a great way to get folks thinking and talking about politics... which is when you have a chance to point out flaws in their logic, and give them a good strong dose of common sense (A.K.A. small l libertarianism).
And yah, I hear you about the 'nuts' thing. Heh. Some folks lack the wit/information to defend their positions and resort to name calling and outright rejection (and others don't really care about anything).

I was doing a one man sign wave in Santiago and converted an american pilot - he took some slim jims with him to take back to his crew in the hotel, then back stateside.....he´d heard of Ron Paul and was amazed to find a Ron Paul Revere in South America trying to get Dr. Paul elected.....
Everyone oversease, go to the tourist hot spots...you can help by converting tourists and expatriates.....everyone you convert is good for 10 more, and so on and so on......

Who needs to convert?
The good Doctor sells himself. I put on a few good RP videos sit back and watch the magic happen. When their eyes uncross I hand them a bumper sticker, a few flyers and a couple of dvds and send them on their way.

I just find out what they care about..
relate it to Ron Paul's position (if I can) and let their excitement carry them. They find Paul mostly by themselves, I just show them where to look. So really, no one, but I've pointed at least 10 who were already interested, and two who were for another candidate.

Well, the short answer is zero... Once people take the time to learn about Dr. Paul, they take the plunge on their own. I have introduced my mom, two brothers, brother in law, a friends wife and my own wife. A colleague of mine, who is an old sixties hippie is very interested in him as well. I'm sending her a copy of "Freedom to Facism" today. That's six known conversions, many more are interested.
My mom is seventy two years old and turning into a rabid Ron Paul supporter. I gave her a Ron Paul REvolution tee shirt for Christmas and she was more excited about that gift than anything else. :-). We are a Republican family (independently minded) who were never crazy about either of the Bush's, and have a particular dislike for the current one. Come to think of it, I voted for Dukkakkis over Bush 1 and voted for Nader over Bush 2 ( the first time) as protest votes.
Finally, we have a candidate who is a return to the party of Senator Goldwater.
Easiest conversions?
ANYone who gets tips with either a NoTaxOnTips.com flyer or (even better) one of the slimjims on the issue. This works. Why get into esoteric BS the media wants desperately to discuss when you can appeal to someone's wallet or purse?? This WORKS. I have yet to see anything but happy smiles.

Conversion to Ron Paul is Easy!
I am not quite sure how many I converted, but I do know this:
I come from a large family mixed with Democrats, Republicans, and Libertarians. I am 31 years old and been a Libertarian for 13+ years as I was a disillusioned former Republican in my youth.
People who have not voted in years or before but will vote for Ron Paul
good friend, uncle, mom, both sisters, mom's bf, 4 cousins = 10 people
People who voted Democrat in past election but voting for Ron Paul:
uncle, aunt, real estage agent wife (very wealthy) = 3 people
People who voted Republican in past election and will vote for Ron Paul
good friend & his 82 year old father, brother, his wife, uncle, aunt, 15 real estate agents/brokers, = 21 people
34 People will vote for Ron Paul
I also know i have effected more people and then if we look at the people we effect in talking about Ron Paul, the numbers grows by leaps and bounds. I am always spreading the gospel and I believe that we are going to surprise a lot of "experts" and "false polls" this coming January and February!
