Can we wear our Ron Paul shirts when we vote?

I know there are laws against campaigning in polling places. Does wearing a shirt count?

Don't do it if you are a delegate. There have been issues in TX with delegates not being allowed to vote in straw polls because they were wearing RP gear. Otherwise I don't think it matters.

good to know

good info for all the first time voters

NO

I even had to take off my RP button in the bond election last month.

you'll be voting topless

if you're wearing a RP tee or anything affiliated with him on voting day.

no advertising.

tee hee. (most topless voters)

bring an extra shirt. incase they tell you that you can't vote without a shirt. (shirt/shoes clause.. maybe.. but I wouldn't put anything past them.)

dang

Does that mean I'll have to take off my "Champion of The Constitution" boxers????

I'm voting early

so that I can concentrate on sign waving at polling places. We are gonna sign wave at all 36 locations and take turns giving rides to people who can't get to the elections. You can sign wave 100 feet from the polling places front door. How about wearing a black shirt that just says "rEVOLution on it"??? They can't say anything about that... it doesn't say ron paul on it.

Just some thoughts.

You can be asked to leave the polling place or

cover up. I saw it happen once. Has to do with political advertising and distance from polling places I believe.

I thought so

what if we wore a shirt under it and just took the RP shirt off if asked??

I don't know

...but I was thinking that on the actual VOTING day, all RP supporters should be incognito - nothing to signify who we are. After all the hoopla we usually make everywhere we go, it would surely unnerve the "competition". We could have a very subtle code, like everyone wear white shirts (the good guys). As long as there is a close eye on all the goings-on of the voting process, I think it would serve us better to be discrete. Does that make any sense?

Besides, we don't want to do ANYthing that would give anyone cause to dismiss us.

Brilliant article that explains why we love Dr. Paul:

Wear neutral clothing. I could see some of us losing our vote in the primaries because we violated a dress code. Seriously, think about it. Would it be worth it?

To my understanding

To my understanding it is not allowed
I wish we could :)

Wear a jacket before you vote.

Then afterwards open it up.
If they shoo you away you've at least voted.

As you know people in Tex ass were barred for wering RP gear to the straw polls.

I like this idea..

Do not give them any reason to turn us away at the polls. Before or after! Until you are far from the polls outside near your cars...
