Who would Ron Paul pick for a running mate?

Just for fun, who do you guys think Congressman Paul would select as a VP running mate if he was fortunate enough to win the nomination? Or who would you like to see as his running mate? Im not putting the wagon in front of the horses, only having a little fun.

Good lord, another thread on this already?

USE THE FORUMS OMG! Or if you're too lazy, just take a peek at the active topics on the right-hand column; I guarantee that you will find umpteen-jillion threads of similarly redundant and ultimately frivolous speculation as here.

It isn't as if you're going to get any refreshingly new answer. Most of the people posting on these threads openly admit that their dream picks would be Andrew Napolitano or Rand Paul or even Gary Johnson, but reasonable Paul supporters know that there is no way in hell any of them make it on the ticket (nor should they).

It's time to let this subject die or sticky it somewhere so that we don't have so many unnecessary retreads.

Never forget:

To disagree, one doesn't have to be disagreeable.

John Huntsman

Ewww...

Hunstman is for:

1) Obamacare
2) Cap and trade
3) Supported the Patriot Act
4) is a zionist warmonger
5) endorsed McCain

I think the judge would be amazing he's a constitutional conservative just like ron and him and ron see eye to eye on some issues to so that means good chemistry as well.

also the judge would be a good pick cause he didn't start a world wrestling federation like Jesse ventura and ventura lives in Mexico now to so it'd be hard for him.

Jesse..

returns to the US before the six-month deadline to maintain his US residency. He summers in Minnesota and winters in Mexico. But RP wouldn't pick him anyways.

I would kind of like to see Judge Nap on the Supreme Court. :)

I'm thinking he will pick someone from the Republican Liberty Caucus:

I'm thinking it would be

I'm thinking it would be Judge Andrew Napolitano.

...

He has already said:

"....I really like Andrew Napolitiano!"

Give us clear vision, that we may know where to stand and what to stand for - because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything.

VP

Dr. Paul's VP will have to be someone who can sell his ideas in the House and Senate. Someone who can sell refrigerators to Eskimos and convince them that it was their idea that they needed it. It is going to take someone with extreme marketing skills or nothing will change. A Republican, libertarian, anarchist feather merchant. He may have to go outside the Republican Party. That will be a hard sell to the Republican establishment. Barry Goldwater JR. The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. 4/8 yrs Paul/Goldwater, 4/8yrs Goldwater/Paul, 8 yrs Paul/? Rand is needed in the Senate now.

Voluntary Association + Mutual Cooperation + 110% Personal Responsibility = 100% Individual Liberty

My husband says Rand

I perversely suggest Mary Ruwart or Christine Smith, Lesser known options include Honey Puterbaugh (Republican Liberty Caucus of NH) or Patricia Phillips (Republican Liberty Caucus of Virginia)

Mary Ruwart

Mary Ruwart to head FDA. I believe Dr. Paul recommended her during the Bush 1 or 2 administration.

Voluntary Association + Mutual Cooperation + 110% Personal Responsibility = 100% Individual Liberty

Ruwart is toxic...

She permanently sunk her own ship when said this:

"Children who willingly participate in sexual acts have the right to make that decision as well, even if it’s distasteful to us personally. Some children will make poor choices just as some adults do in smoking
and drinking to excess; this is part of life.

When we outlaw child pornography, the prices paid for child performers rise, increasing the incentives for parents to use children against their will.”

Ruwart is toast. She will never be appointed to anything...

Thanks for the heads up

that changes my perspective as well.

Sigh.

The parents who abuse their children this way are despicable.
Children with an interest in 'adult activities' to excess are likely to have been abused by someone. Parental rights advocates at this site do not support such activity, the site is more of a 'prevent Gardisil from being forced on your children' site...:P

Yeah..

When it comes to adults mistreating little kids either physically or emotionally I can become very un-libertarian... ;)

oh! I Iike her!

She's cute

Romney and Palin like her ALLOT. She is slim on issues http://www.ontheissues.org/Nikki_Haley.htm

She has no record really now, but could be president one day.

The Full ticket-->The Dream Team

President: Ron Paul
VP: ?
Chief of Staff: Lew Rockwell
Secretary of State: Kucinich
Treasurer: Jim Rogers
Press Secretary: Tom Woods
DoJ: Andrew Napolitano
DoD: Jesse Ventura
USDA: Mike Adams (health ranger)
Surgeon General: Russel Blaylock, M.D. (anti-vaccine neurosurgeon)

Next Nominee for Supreme Court should be Andrew Napolitano. Keep Rand Paul as senator; get Peter Schiff into the senate. We still need Congress to be constitutional followers not constitutional usurpers. Can't think of anyone for VP...maybe Gary Johnson? I have no clue.

I think Jim Rogers would stay

I think Jim Rogers would stay in China, but I think even better for treasurer is Peter Schiff.

Schiff would be an awesome

Schiff would be an awesome Treasurer; but he's shown the will and the fighting heart to run for Senate. So I'd love to have him in the Senate, especially since the majority of the Senate are Neocons. Jim Rogers's views are no different than Schiff's so I thought he'd be a good Treasurer. He talks like an Austrian economist. He only left for China because he feels that China is the future as long as we continue on this path of destruction.

I'm pretty sure he'd return to the USA and love to be Treasurer if he was offered the opportunity to fix things up.

DOD Jessie Ventura! Oh that

DOD Jessie Ventura! Oh that would be a laugh wouldn't it?

I don't get it? What's wrong

I don't get it? What's wrong with Ventura on DoD? He was a navy seal, mayor, and governor; therefore, he's got good experience on the administrative side as well as the battle field.

I agree with your whole

I agree with your whole statement, but you forgot one thing. Jesse can be a bit of a drama queen and likes to stir it up in the media. I would have concerns that he would always vying with the administration for the limelight. Ventura is more of a top dog type of guy than a lower level cabinet member.

Boot camp

David Koch

Someone who has the power to establish new green industry and not afraid to end the wars

Not to mention the Koch

Not to mention the Koch brothers are to much considered as elitists and political owners of politicians. This would give a sold out or establishment look to the Paul campaign IMO

establish a new green

establish a new green industry? what is that?

Nothing is really new

So, It would be establishing a farming community and mill for hemp food, feed, fiber, cardboard, particle board, rope.. on and on. Koch bought the headlands from Georgia Pacific and have been deligent about the clean up, and they gave the city of Fort Bragg-Mendocino Coast 92 acres to connect the trail from MacKerricher State Park to the Noyo River. We grow medical marijuana here legally, and experienced two high profile murders, linking to three.. and the State is talking about dropping male marijuana pollen, but many of us would rather we just grow hemp and get to business making natural products.

Koch is a longtime Libertarian Billionaire, who can top Cheney or Biden.
