So who are the real patriots?

I brought up Cynthia McKinney as a possible VP to Dr. Paul. I did it with quite a bit of humor, because I know that Cynthia McKinney is a 'character'; I can't see her being a VP to anyone, even Dr. Paul.

I know about her background . . .

she came from southern 'blackness'--

and she is a fighter; she annoys people.

But . . .

she stood up to AIPAC. She shows up on Iranian news programs. She spoke very much like Dr. Paul about Libya.

Who are the real patriots?

She may not be a viable, much less possible, VP to Ron Paul, but she is a patriot.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

President Paul's Press Secretary: Cynthia McKinney?

Oh yes, President Paul's Press Secretary: Cynthia McKinney!

She'd fit the role perfectly.

And she can work her way up to be CIA chief just like former White House Press Secretary Leon Panetta, now our... uh, Defense Secretary?

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

except that . . .

Ron Paul wants to get rid of the CIA--

:)

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

I don't think she gets Liberty

Maybe only 50%

How many neo-conservatives who are being . . .

presented on DP as possible VPs get it that much?!

:)

V for Viable

She would be awesome in any role. I am of course comparing to what we have been plagued with. I can't help but to think of Secretary of State position and the current monster, Hitllary Clinton.

Between Hillary and Susan Rice, their shrill cries for murder would have any sane country wanting a few nukes to protect themselves. McKinney can certainly handle herself, and would likely diffuse international tensions that have ratcheted up over the last few decades.

thank you . . .

I admire her for her courage and integrity.

She's given little credibility on here, however, because of the labels . . . her 'liberal' background. I tossed those labels long ago.

:)

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

It's not the label. It's the

It's not the label. It's the fact that she doesn't believe in limited government, economic liberty, or adhering to the Constitution on all issues, not just a few.

nor do most so-called 'conservatives', including . . .

many who are being suggested as running mates for Paul.

What she DOES have that *they* don't have is the courage to stand up to AIPAC and tell the truth about the middle eastern wars and blowback.

Gingrich certainly doesn't believe any more in limited government than McKinney, not by his voting record, but few people recoiled at his being mentioned as a VP candidate with Dr. Paul.

Interesting. Is it because he's white and male or a Republican in name only?

At least McKinney wants American taxpayers to help other Americans, not pay for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people in the middle east. Gingrich has never spoken out against empire building. But he voted for huge medicaid/medicare drug bills, to allow for drugs; it was an expensive program; also, I believe, he supported the baillouts.

I never said I supported Newt

I never said I supported Newt Ginrich, nor any other neoconservative or mainstream Republican, to be RP's VP. And I think you're very wrong when you say that those kind of people do not encounter opposition on this site. If anything, I'd say more people seem to be in favor of people like Kucinich and McKinney. And while some liberals did oppose the bailouts, most viewed them as necessary, and a higher percentage of Democrats voted for them than Republicans. I completely agree that there are a lot of fake conservatives who are pro-big government. There are some who Ron can work with on the economy and even certain social issues and foreign policy. There are also some liberals who RP can work with on some social issues and foreign policy. However, when picking his VP, RP should pick someone who shares his general ideology and agrees with his principles on all three major categories (economy, social issues, foreign policy). I wouldn't mind McKinney getting some foreign policy related post in RP's administration.

did I 'accuse' you of supporting Gingrich?

Well, if so, I heartily apologize! :)

I don't REALLY think McKinney would be a good VP for Dr. Paul; I just don't like her and others being discounted, because *they* are liberal.

But I think it was interesting that fewer people mentioned Gingrich's blind spots; I'm glad you clarified your own position--

:)

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

I understand where you're

I understand where you're coming from, and I agree that people shouldn't me excluded from the entire administration just because they're a "liberal" or even a "neocon." I just think that the VP is a position where Ron needs to pick someone who is very much in line with his beliefs on the economy, as well as social issues and foreign policy. Sorry if I was being confusing.

With the propagandized fear-mongered 9/11 events taking place this weekend it is only fitting everyone gets to express their viewpoint on this volatile topic ... here is an excellent timely article from Webster Tarpley ...

I wish

people wouldn't talk about "Israel" and "US".

This has nothing to do with the countries or the people living in the countries or the religious beliefs of the people.

Both countries (and every other country bar a few) have been taken over by the same elite and are being played out against each other to create war and division amongst the people.

that is true, but . . .

there are quite a few Jews who are extremely displeased with Israel.

Where do *we* put these people. They are both Orthodox and 'liberal', but they are Jews, and they aren't happy with Israel.

You are correct about how elite have taken over these countries, but the elite really do dominate all countries, not just Israel and the U.S.

The problem is that Israel and the U.S. are the powerful ones--

Israel as Britain's 'child' who grew up with an attitude; the U.S. because . . .

it began in freedom and grew into a massive empire.

It's all very sad, isn't it?

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

very sad.

My family goes all the way back to colonial times. My peacenik grandmother taught me well. I saw the constitution, bill of rights, independence hall, touched the liberty bell and every museum from DC to Concord, NH. I had the greatest defender of liberty teach me why my family fought in all the wars. To my grandmother, America was great only because we were free. She was an incredible artist and a Rosie the riviter patriot.

Endless war and the patriot act. I don't know if the founders are rolling in their grave but I'm positive my Nana is.

America needs Ron Paul. 'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

I agree. Peace.

I agree. Peace.

So do they.

"They" wish people wouldn't "talk" about this, so they wield the club of anti-semitism around to try and make people fearful of discussing the subject.

It wouldn't matter if they were German, Mexican, Swedish, or Martians. If "THEY" have infiltrated the highest seats in this administration and ones before that, as well as our Congress and Senate through AIPAC, then "they" NEED to be talked about.

If "they" are spying on our country MORE than ANY other ally, then THEY need to be exposed.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWpWc_suPWo

I recognize who "they" are and what they have done, but try to focus my energy on trying to get Ron Paul elected. HE is the ONLY one who will stand against their agendas.

We might not even make it to next "election" for fear that "they" will start yet another war, that could finally drive this country over the edge.

I agree

My point was just that it is not the Jewish people doing any of this but a few individuals who hide behind the Jewish label and create anger and hatred between the people.

Peace.

You are correct, and few . . .

people are more blasted for speaking the truth than Jews.

Yeah, Michael Scheuer is just stinking beautiful

..or maybe not so beautiful

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qffUUbMJyag

Specifically @ 1:10, when Michael Scheuer states he started the rendition program. His words. His whole speech here is rather disturbing, as Michael correctly predicts it would be.

Of course Scheuer is right that US foreign policy incites many problems, but the whole point is perpetual war. Guess he missed the memo.

So basicly what Shueuer tells me is

that His "Rendition program" helped to force upon us the actions of 9/11.
1995-2001 we were jerking with them over there.
Apparently his "Rendition program" DID NOT work so well.
In 2001 the Bush administration acted like they knew nothing about the ALQUIDA and 9/11 was a complete surprise.

What happened on 9/11?

Buildings fell, people were killed. We have that evidence.

We have inconstant and limited digital evidence of aircraft.

Even though we lifted nearly an entire plane from offshore Long Island, we found nothing in Pennsylvania after 9/11.

We have limited digital evidence of alleged skyjackers.

We had fake document of shipments of yellowcake form Niger.

We have hearsay evidence from our secret services as well as a massive cover-up of evidence contrary to the official story.

Not a single prosecution has been made of 9/11 criminals in free and open court. Each was in secret court where defense and prosecution had the government's Top Secret Clearance stamp of approval.

What amazes me is that people trusted the government until well after September 11! We sure are lucky that the government was only telling us the truth before 2002! Even people who should know better, accept the government story, without any proof. What proof do we have that something called Al-Quida was involved? The CIA: Evidence secret and unverifiable is barely valid.

The "evidences" sure is piling up! [sarcasm alert]

Government's solution was to secretly spy domestically and to sexually assault and irradiate citizens in airports, while destroying billions in expensive technology killing foreign civilians.

Ever watch a scary movie and wonder what it would be like if it were true.

Did the the US government leave us free to believe it were true, since that would be to their benefit? Who are they to stop the will of the people, they claim?

Free includes debt-free!

Scheuer displays zero introspection

A little thing called blowback.

Torture apologist as well.. if you notice. And too bad if most the time they get the wrong people.. "oh well"...

I agree with much of his analysis, but find reason to rebuke him for his direct complicity in THE WORST international programs of human rights violations. Extraordinary rendition has mutated and replicated greatly with the near infinite DHS budgets to feed it.

These programs target EVERYONE, including you. "oh well"???.. F-U Mr. Scheuer!

Shueuer talks about killing often

But I get the feeling he's never killed anyone with his own hands. If he had, he might have a different attitude.

You may be right, but I don't think so.

Michael appears to me to be quite capable of being a cold-blooded killer, if he believed the reasons were just.

I've never killed anyone, but I have been prepared to do just that. I watched a hated sister-in-law as her brain was eaten away by cancer. I enjoyed it and I sleep like a baby every night. Sure, that is different than doing it yourself, but not by as much as you might think. It's not lack of empathy, as in the case of a psychopath; it is a realization that some people won't wake up until they are dead and contemplating how they got that way. In any event, they are no longer an obstacle to the happiness of the living.

There is something worse than murder; it is letting someone go to his grave lying to himself. Christians call it, "Denying the Holy Ghost," and it is the only "unforgivable sin." I did that in the case of my youngest sister. She insisted on getting her way and, as a result, my mother became feeble-minded. I helped her lie to herself, all the way to her grave; and, as I said, I sleep like a baby every night.

There is no transgression so great

that enough love can not forgive!

I love when I see the deception The Judge

and Scheuer are putting over on the sheep. Alot of them even on here.

The fact is that even if they pull out the last three thousand troops that get paid about $140.00 a day.

They don't mention the over 100,000 contractors, mercenaries that are in fact Soldiers that are paid $1200.00 a day, that have taken the place of the troops they have pulled out. And they are performing the very same tasks that the troops they have replaced used to do.

So the fact is we are being fooled even by the likes of the judge and his guest.

Come on, why do you think he gets the airtime?

Wake TF up!

You are the sheep, eilif....

I don't believe the judge or Scheuer are putting anything over on anyone. Perhaps, you just don't like the message. I have watched Israel and their agents subvert our country for decades. I have a long memory. You would do well to research your history and quit "carryinng the water...." Some don't like Ron's message either but, it's out there!
